I disputed a charge on my Dow Credit Union (DCU) Visa card in 12/22. DCU sent me a letter asking…read morefor supportive documentation in 1/23 which I responded to shortly after. Supposedly, I was sent a letter saying the claim was denied a day or two after the request for additional information. I never received such a letter. For the next 2 years and 5 months, my monthly credit card statements stated that the amount in dispute did not need to be repaid. From 1/23 to 2/26, DCU had every opportunity to withdraw the funds for the disputed claim from my checking account, but elected not to do that. Do those actions sound like what a financial institution would do if a disputed charge claim had been denied 3 years earlier? Because I instigated an inquiry into this matter out of frustration with non-action by DCU on this issue, DCU finally reclaimed the disputed funds on 3/25/26. Had I not acted, there would still be no resolution. There was no apology or even an admission that they screwed up. The incompetence of DCU has caused me to close all of my accounts there.

ive been with huntington for more than ten yrs, i was offered all kinds of free things back then,…read morebut lo and behold, very few of them are available now. they require ,,,,,,new money,,,,,,,,,put into the account in order to get any kind of decent interest rate. if i complain about low int rates, on my large money market account,,,,,,the person at the desk will offer a slightly higher rate on my money market, but a month or so later, that too will go away. huntington has gotten ,,,,,,,,way too big,,,,,,,,,since they took over chemical bank,,,, do not recommend them unless you want to follow up on almost anything they tell you a month later. still with them, but would never restart an account with them again.

Worst bank experience ever. Opened my account in person and needed to close it a year later. The…read moremanager gave me a hard time about closing my account because "she didn't know me". ? What? Young people don't go into the bank to do banking often. I went in a handful of times in the year, but that shouldn't matter. The manager doesn't need to "know me" to close my account. This lady was on a power trip.
