Durant H&C has always addressed my H&C issues promptly...however today "they hit it out of the park". Upon arrival at our northern MI home we immediately determined that there was an issue with our boiler. I called their shop and Rose immediately dispatched two technicians to my home, who "thought" they had already completed their day...they were actually checked out. They arrived at my home less than 15 min after I made my call. The techs were friendly, professional and efficient. They diagnosed the problem and determined the parts required to fix the problem. While one tech dismantled the unit, the other tech went back to the shop to get the replacement parts. The new parts were installed and the unit was up and working and the techs did their post installation checks and verifications and the fix was completed less than 1.5 hrs from the time I placed the call for help. UNBELIEVABLE...this would NEVER have been possible at primary residence in Bloomfield Hills! Thanks so much to all involved at Durant H&C for their prompt and efficient action!

I had a negative experience booking with Seven Star Vent cleaning in Traverse City, MI, this past…read moreweek. I thought I was booking with a local business, but Seven Star Duct Cleaning arrived instead after reaching out to the "locally-owned" business contact on Nextdoor. After arriving, they started the motor next to the front door and kept it propped open, channeling heavy motor exhaust throughout my house (it took hours to dissipate, and I was coughing horribly afterwards even with all windows opened). They also did not communicate that they would be unable to clean the external vent until AFTER finishing the internal duct. Considering that the external duct was packed with lint and I had mentioned this vent when booking, not receiving the primary service I had communicated in advance felt very disingenuous. Lastly, they ALSO broke a tile in my laundry room floor without saying anything, leaving it for me to find after they took my money and left! After reaching out to them via email and phone with pictures of the unfinished work and broken tile, Seven Star has ignored these messages, yet had no problem charging $199 for poor service.
