The owner emailed me and let me know the guys were on the way, which was very much appreciated so that I could plan my day. The guys arrived and were very professional and they did a great job, told me how much build up they cleaned and pointed out some things I should keep on eye on for the future with our fireplace insert. While they were here I got a quote on duct cleaning for the entire house since this place was a new build. I was so satisfied with their work, professionalism, friendly nature - that I booked the duct cleaning as well. I was told they did the location, which was not too far from the previous location. DUSTOUT was a small company of 3 or 4 people, including the owner when I had my parents' ducts cleaned, and there was no answering service back in January. In fact, I spoke with the owner himself, who was helpful and knowledgable. In that they were a small company, I wanted to help them by making a point to give them a good review for good service. Fast forward to now, they have a whole answering service apparatus with a phone tree. Everyone loves an answering service with a phone tree! /s So I left a message with the details of the new job. They said they would call back. They didn't. I called *three more times* over the space of a week. I emailed the owner. Nothing. Crickets. I asked if they had new ownership and they said, "no". I asked for an estimate like last time, and now they tell me that they don't give estimates before they arrive. Now, one is supposed to allow them to come and they will tell you how much the job is after they arrive to do the job. (?) Who would agree to that? Not sure what to believe about DUSTOUT now. I have *still* not received a call back. I have not received an email back. So I hired another small company. I'll keep you guys posted on the job he does. I guess DUSTOUT used to be great, but I have no idea what is going on at this company now. They sprayed some orange scented cleaner that took our breath away and we had to wear KN95 masks and my husband actually had to go outside and sit on the front porch. As I stated they pulled in the driveway at 2:00 and left our front door at 2:47. (47 total minutes). Needless to say the stains are still where I pointed them out to the cleaner. We were informed to wait for 24-48 hours for the carpets to dry. I phoned Modernistic and Lexie was kind enough to try to find a crew that could come out this evening but was unsuccessful. She offered a couple options tomorrow, more sitting around waiting for the 8-11 or 1-4 windows and I declined because I do not want to wait an additional day for the carpet to dry out. I used Modernistic in the past but unfortunately will not in the future. The smell is throughout the house and takes your breath away and the carpets are definitely not clean. I appreciate the offer of a new crew tomorrow but think I should be entitled to at least a partial refund.
