The owner Renae is the only hairdresser and she also sells shoes from her salon too. Every time if have been here, Renae has done my hair exactly how I have wanted it, changed anything I asked and chatted to me casually throughout. She is a genuine nice person who is easy to get along with and she puts in a lot of effort as a young person to make her own business work. The place is decked out nicely with purple paint, black wallpaper and lots of mirrors and nice chairs. All of her equipment is quality and she doesn't skimp on time or product when dealing with your hair. I am now a regular client and visit Renae to get my hair done fairly often and also have a gossip, as you do with your hairdresser. And I feel good about supporting a young girl starting her own business and making something of herself.

Like Blush Boutique, Bella Hair and Beauty seems geared towards the younger woman. Actually that might be a bit of an unfair statement, but I think that name would more than suggest that it's not a man's world inside. The prices are reasonable for what they offer. My partner went in for a bit of a trim and was reasonably happy with the job and cost involved. She's looking for a new "regular" place to get her hair done, and while I'm not sure she's settled on it, (she's trying a few places right now), this is high on the list.

I've been going to the edit for several years now, starting at the St Clair salon then following…read morethem to Mawson Lakes once St Clair closed down. Over the past 12 months the service has gone downhill but I figured I've been going there for so long that I would give them the benefit of the doubt. I had booked an appointment online weeks in advance. I received an email as per usual requesting that I confirm the appointment a day before. I responded yes to confirm. The following day I received an email stating that I had until 10.30am that morning to respond and the email threatened to cancel my appointment. I contacted the edit with a screenshot of the confirmation that I had sent the day before. I received no apology even though it was their mistake. Poor customer service for that. Then I arrive at the salon for my hair cut. I had long hair that was almost half way down my back and I asked to have several inches cut off. I showed her the photo of the basic style that I wanted but requested for my hair to be an inch or two longer than the photo. Hairdresser started cutting the back without even double checking the length so now my hair is the same length as the photo which is not what I asked for. I found the whole appointment to be very impersonal - there was very little small talk which seems rude seeing as it was only a couple of days after Christmas which is the perfect opportunity to have plenty of things to chat about. I also stated that I had been putting off having my long hair cut off as I was anxious and nervous because it would be such a big change and I received no words reassurance to ease my nerves so I felt stupid for saying anything. The cut was done dry and took under 10 minutes, it felt so rushed I for such a big change of style. When I got home I realised how uneven it was and there was a massive chunk at the front that had been missed. I had to get my husband to try to trim it to get it slightly more even but it still didn't look good. I contacted the manager via email and she did offer to call me regarding the issue but I advised to not bother because I wouldn't be stepping foot in to the salon again, I definitely don't trust them to fix it when it was them who had stuffed it up in the first place. There was no offer for a refund. I went to a different hairdresser the following day and had it cut properly so now I'm out of pocket for TWO hair cuts when it's not my fault. Overall I'm so bitterly disappointed, I get that people sometimes have off days but when I am a client that's spending my money to change my appearance then the hairdresser needs to put in the effort. People do get anxious about having their hair cut and that needs to be taken in to consideration. You've now lost me as a customer for good.

Located near the heart of Mawson Lakes and not far from Main Street, it's easy to get to with plenty of on street parking. Upon walking in, I'm always greeted with a smile and offered a tea or coffee. All of the girls in the salon go out of their way to ensure that you're comfortable. Most importantly, the stylists ask what you want done with your hair - they don't just go cutting away. I'm definitely a fan and highly recommend Fresh Hair!

Sarah used to be my favourite, but you had to book heaps in advance for her. She was young, well trained and very friendly, and she always did my hair the way I wanted and changed what I didn't like. The woman who runs this salon was never that nice, sort of fake really. I now go to my friend who opened a salon, and get a handy discount! This salon is usually fairly busy, with lots of hairdressers working, but I have never been that satisfied with the results, cost or service.

I used to go to TTP,they were the most friendly bunch but I was never satisfied with their work. So I'm sticking with this salon,at least as long as those two ladies are working there.
