WildCat Guitars - Jackson Pro Series King V FRT - Guitar Stores Near Me - Escondido, California

These guys are the best, and I mean the best. They made me this unbelievable deal on a Suhr PT 15 IR amp head and matching cabinet. Completely blew any any competition at Guitar Center of even Sweetwater. This is hands-down the best guitar shop in Southern California. Customer Service here is second to none. read more

My son has been doing research on a new guitar and came across Wildcat on line. He is very persistent so after his guitar lesson I said come on lets go check this place out. Wildcat is tucked away in a little business area in San Marcos. We went out on a Saturday evening and it was pretty quiet. As soon as he walked in he was a bit nervous but excited. He was surrounded by guitars and didn't know what to do with himself. From the time we walked in to the time we left we felt welcomed and at ease. This is not like the big stores where all they care about is a sale Jameson knows exactly what guitar he wants but wanted to see it in person (or at least something similar) to see how it played and felt. It was really neat seeing Doug chat with Jameson, just talking about guitars and what Jameson was looking for. He showed Jameson a few guitars and let him play them. It was just a cool, relaxing environment. An overall awesome place and a variety of amazing guitars. If they don't have it, Doug will help find it for you! Overall great people and place and cannot wait to get back and get Jameson's guitar ordered. Wildcat Guitars is the place to go for sure! read more

Such a wonderful guitar shop. I called several places a few weeks ago requesting information, but once I spoke to Mikki, I knew he was the one I wanted to work with. He gave me a ton of info over the phone and was very pleasant. Upon walking into the store, Mikki greeted me immediately, took a look at my guitar and talked about some of the things he could do to make it easier for me to play. He ended up servicing it and did a fantastic job. I needed a tuner, so he hooked me up with a nice portable one. It was a pleasure to work with him. The location is super convenient, right off the 78 off Nordhal. read more

The nicest most professional people around. Quality shop. Refinish, repair, setup, you name it. The inventory is just awesome.

I am not musical, no one in my family is. So when my daughter wrote to santa asking for a guitar, I figured I was in trouble. Rather than research guitars, I decided to research guitar stores and so glad I did. WildCat was amazing. They told me precisely what to buy and taught me how to tune the guitar. Thank you so much guys! My daughter is going to be so happy!!! Let the holidays begin! read more

I dropped in while exploring guitar shops in the area. I was immediately greeted and given a small tour. The shop has only been open a few months. The guitars are mostly custom shop and vintage. They have a couple of alcoves set up for people to try out the guitars, which the invited me to do. They mentioned there will be small events at the venue, and they have a stage set up at the back of the shop. Overall, it had a nice open layout with a bit of the rustic feel to the walls and furniture. When I was there, someone had called ahead for a Taylor 316e Baritone-8, which had just been announced at NAMM 2020, and they were able to get ahold of it where other shops had not. The staff was open and friendly and very knowledgeable about their business. I've already recommended this place to my friends. read more

Wild Cat Guitars showed up in my Instagram feed several times. I follow many different suppliers of stringed instruments, and after seeing some of their posts, decided to follow them. Then learning that they were just up the road from me, I took a drive to check out their new location. Wow, non descript store front, followed by some of the best mid to high end guitars on the market. The guys at Wild Cat were chill and inviting, encouraging me to just wander through the variety of rooms, all layer out in great detail by type, maker, and style. Awesome attention to detail, and they even have a stage in the back for performances!! I will be back again!! read more

These people are amazing. I had the pleasure of meeting Scott and Janice today and they exemplified what quality customer service looks like. They were knowledgeable, kind, and quite honestly, very fun to have a conversation with. This shop has some AMAZING instruments and I truly enjoyed perusing their walls that were decorated with guitars I could only dream of owning :) I legit truly recommend checking this place out. The atmosphere is welcoming, the people are kind, and the products are fantastic. True 5/5. read more

Blown away. Checked every box and then some. Rad store... amazing selection... 10/10 customer service... fair prices... Was hesitant walking in with a lower budget given large selection of premium guitars... made no difference and red carpet was still rolled out. Excited to go back and grab another PRS asap! Mikki is the man! read more

Honestly a great experience. Even though I didn't buy anything the worker was great to talk to and allowed me to play some guitars. Can't wait to see their cheaper inventory of instruments like Yamaha. They are definitely a boutique, however the cheaper guitars have excellent quality. They certainly care about quality instruments in their shop rather than popular name brand guitars. If you are looker for an excellent guitar under 1K, their selection has great playing and looking instruments for any price range. read more

I had a less than stellar experience. I purchased a very expensive guitar from Wildcat, which unfortunately was missing the key for the case (was suppose to be included). They also did not include a receipt/bill-of-sale that would be needed for any future warranty service, Despite repeated requests (at least 5!) and assurances that they would send these two items, they have never followed through. There are many other high-end guitar shops available that offer exceptional service before AND after the sale. I would recommend Daves, Music Zoo and Wildwood over this shop. read more

Bo and his partner Doug are professionals. Deeply knowledgeable and helpful, Bo set up the PRS private stock guitar I bought perfectly. WildCat's deep ties with the industry also explain why they consistently get their hands on top quality stock. This is a great business. 10/10! read more

Doug is the man. Whenever I'm in the market for a guitar I will come here. Super thoughtful and extensive information and knowledge about Fenders. Great place and very friendly customer service. Doug was amazing and helped us out so much. We went into the store not knowing what to buy. Absolutely the best guitar buying experience I've ever had. Bought on their site and picked up at the shop the next day.The included set up on my $850 guitar is perfection and it plays better than some of my other guitars that cost a lot more. Unbelievable selection of high-end, custom shop guitars down to higher-end imports. Was so glad to see that they carry the $1000 instruments that are more my usual speed as well as the custom shop pieces of art. If you're in the market for Fender, PRS or Suhr this should be your first stop. Check out their great website and give Doug or Bo a call. You'll never go back to Guitar Center again. read more

Service is top notch, guitars are well taken care of and they offer a free set-up when you purchase one.

Well I can't say enough about Wildcat and their incredible staff! Doug was a absolute pleasure to work with and extremely helpful in assisting me in finding my PRS CU 24! Great shop; San Diego desperately needs a guitar store like WildCat Guitars. I bought a Custom Shop Strat. Bo was very helpful, with a no pressure approach. They have great inventory and very relaxed, inviting atmosphere. I tried multiple guitars over the course of a couple hours and we made a deal. They changed out the strings from 10's to 9s and I was done. I'll definitely be back to buy more gear from WildCat Guitars. read more

I went to WildCat Guitars after seeing a particular Taylor guitar that I had been looking for on their website. This is a REAL GUITAR SHOP! The layout has been thought out and is organized and not cluttered. Electrics and Acoustics are set up so you can see each individual guitar easily by manufacturer. Doug and Jay couldn't have been more helpful. No pressure, no hassle, just great knowledge about the special guitars they have on display.
