    Qi elixir

Came here to enjoy some tea. Cute little shop and the owners were so nice and helpful. Recommended a delicious matcha elixir. I got their qi matcha elixir. It was so smooth and delicious. They use oat milk; not too sweet and perfect balance of matcha and other healthy additions. The menu includes all the ingredients and I love the combo they did for this elixir. Can't wait to come back and try more!

If you are looking for a Zen-like experience or a relaxing afternoon tea, this the place to head to. The owner was super kind, friendly and hospitable. There limited seating inside, but a good amount of tables outside. Prices are on the higher end, but for the quality of tea you are getting, it's worth the treat. 1. Shen Elixir (5/5) I was surprised to see it's more like a latte type of beverage. It was pleasantly tasty with a strong toasty cinnamon flavor and a subtle a salty note. It's creamy and heartwarming. 2. Matcha cheese cake (5/5): One of the best matcha cheesecakes I have had. "It's how cake should be " - Not too sweet, lightly cheesy, yet creamy. The a strong matcha flavor shines through. You can taste the subtle bitterness, which indicates the quality matcha used. 3. Tearimisu (4.5/5) Another great slice of cake that was not too sweet and it was very moist. The cake and cream used were all very light... it won't give you food coma 4. White tea (5/5) You can tell they use quality tea because of the fragrant floral note that comes through as an aftertaste. They provide the steeped tea leaves in a pot for you to smell the fragrance as you enjoy your tea. This tea is light and cleanses the palate, so it compliments the desserts/cakes well

Delicious tea and the staff was very nice. They had a good variety that I haven't seen before like purple tea. They do sell their tea that is on their menu as well. The shop inside is small but they have a great people watching patio outside. However, I could see a lot of customers were looking for a sparkling/refreshing iced tea on a hot day and would walk away to the Pressed Juicery or local boba shop. I think it would be good to offer a few healthy iced teas with some simple syrup and aesthetic photos to attract the casual customer. I hope this tea shop does well and definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing drink.

Came here in late September on a slightly windy evening, about two hours before dinner. The outdoor teacup and matcha-themed decorations caught our attention, so we decided to give it a try. We had the chocolate, matcha, and turmeric drink, all of them smelled amazing and tasted delicious. The owners were very kind and friendly, and they make the desserts in-house too. They mentioned they went to Uji and sourced matcha directly from there, love it! Such a lovely shop, would visit again next time we're in Santa Barbara!

    Purple, sweet potato pie! Amazing.

I was in Santa Barbara for the day, and I am so pleased I stumbled across this absolute gem of a spot -- Wild Tea Leaf Organic Tea House. What an unexpected delight! The highlight of my visit was the purple sweet potato pie. Truly amazing. The flavor was authentic to a classic sweet potato pie, but with a beautiful organic twist that made every bite feel vibrant and wholesome. And that strawberry compote--wow. It was the perfect complement, adding just the right amount of brightness to elevate the entire dessert. You can really taste the care and creativity of the chef in every element. The chef here is nothing short of phenomenal. You can tell there's real passion behind the food, and it shows in both flavor and presentation. If you get the chance to go, you will not be sorry. This place is special, and I'm already looking forward to returning the next time I'm in town.

Amazing customer service, second time here will definitely be coming back!!!!!!!!!!!!

This place was a great experience. I walked in and the music, the presentation, the experience and everything about it was sensational. A man at the front counter greeted us with a vibe of an initiation as though we were about to do something ceremonial or official. He was in a kung fu styled wardrobe and the whole experience of the tea was fantastic as the wind blew vigorously while we drank our hot drinks inside the store. Definitely have to come back again

Wild Tea Leaf is an organic tea house serving up the most authentic teas sourced from China, Japan, and Taiwan. Along with tonic herbs and herbal blends from around the world. They also offer ceremonial grade Matcha lattes and medicinal lattes. I opted for the Tumeric Ginger Latte with almond milk. Tumeric is known for its anti-inflammatory benefits, and my body was in need of help to reduce my inflammation. This drink was warm, cozy and perfectly sweetened. I loved it! I also sampled one of the red teas. Which was served by Michael who is one of the owners. I've never experienced tea served the traditional way as they do in Japan. This was quite a lovely experience to watch. In addition to elixirs, herbs and teas, they also serve healthy eats here. Mostly vegan and gluten free meals, but they will be adding seafood eventually. The portions aren't hefty, but they are just enough to nourish your body and leave you feeling satiated. Me & my friend ordered a variety of things on the menu to try out. Everything was flavorful and delicious! I really enjoyed the Wild Farmers Bowl. Made with Farmers Market seasonal roasted vegetables, wild & sticky rice, with a sesame ginger dressing. The Japanese pumpkin soup is a must try! This was rich in flavor, creamy and topped with shaved wild foraged perigord truffles. Chefs kiss good! The Japanese purple pie is made with UBE and topped with I believe a coconut cream. With cacao sauce dolloped on the side. Simple yet tasty! The ambience here is minimalistic, and clean yet inviting. I especially loved the tea bar set up! The cute little tea cups, kettles and tea trays were so beautifully displayed. This place was much needed, and I'm happy to support this indigenous owned tea house. Congratulations Michael & Savannah on your new business! I wish you much success and thank you for being great hosts on my visit.

    Blubbery matcha

Great matcha & Ube latte. Service is friendly and located in patio setting at Paso Nuevo.

The best matcha I've ever had !
    Mariah A.

Truly is the best matcha ever ! Seen many reviews saying it was the best in Santa Barbara and I honestly thought it was being hyped up but no it definitely lives to the hype ! I've tried many ceremonial matcha places from LA Ventura and Santa Barbara and this place comes in first. The owner was very kind and let us know that he spent a month in Japan searching for the best matcha out there and he definitely found it I had to even get a second one to go ! Aside from the matcha the soups are really savory I got the seasonal vegetable and my boyfriend got the wild miso both had so much flavor and were amazing to top it off this place is organic so very healthy to make things even better ! You truly need to try this place out :)

Their drinks are addictedly delicious! I have tried several different ones from espresso, latte, to matcha and non-caffeinated drinks. Each one has been consistently great. 2 stars Due to their popularity, there's always almost a line out the door. However, if you follow them on IG, they do post update stories throughout the day about quantity status and how long the wait would be. They're pretty efficient, so even with a long line, I've never waited more than 20-30mins. 1 star The store is not meant for a sit down and hang out or study spot, but big enough to fit a good number of customers waiting around for drinks. 1 star They don't offer latte art or even hot drink, but ALL of their cold drinks and baked good are more than enough to make up for that! 1 star Really wish they'll start expanding soon. Central Coast can really use a great Asian coffee/bakery. As for now, I'll just have to drive down to Santa Barbara once or twice a month to get my Kin fix! We tried multiple other places that didn't have outdoor seating (so not dog friendly), but then we found Caje on State Street. Granted it was a hot day, but this store was really really hot inside, like unpleasantly so. I felt bad for the barista! The coffee is reasonably priced, all things considered (fancy flavors, Santa Barbara, crowded location) and the flavor was nice and not one I've personally had before. Most of our group seemed to be okay with their coffee choices, but overall no one was overly enthusiastic about their drink so we'd say it's about average. I ordered the iced chai latte and it was probably the worst drink I've had at a coffee shop. It was pretty much a big glass of milk with some chai spices mixed in. Very disappointing. GET READY FOR A TRANSCENDENT DONUT EXPERIENCE…read more Just off State Street on Figueroa, you'll find a donut shop that feels more like a craft breakfast kitchen with a serious pastry soul. The owner's love for their craft, staff, and product make for an inviting ambiance you don't find in many establishments in their class. DON'T MISS BREAKFAST Their menu goes far beyond donuts, blending whimsical, flavor-forward pastries with substantial breakfast sandwiches and bowls featuring bacon, turkey sausage, and mouthwatering, fluffy eggs that taste like they've been kissed with something buttery, creamy, and completely unforgettable. PASTRY IS IN THEIR DNA The first sign you're in the right place? Walking past stacks of pastry flour on your way to the donut counter. Nothing says "this is going to be good" like seeing the foundation of the craft right there in front of you. And these are not airy, forgettable donuts. These are brioche-style, flavor-filled, butter-forward creations that deliver exactly what the menu promises. CHOCOLATE CHERRY ALMOND OLD FASHIONED (OH MY) The Chocolate Cherry Almond Old Fashioned is in a class of its own. It surpasses every old fashioned donut I've had, with a light cake base, a low-oil profile, and none of the overly craggy, greasy edges you get from a less thoughtful donut. This is pastry territory. The chocolate and almond are subtle at first, then the cherry arrives with a dramatic full tastebud activation -- sweet, salt, fat, and bitter all working together. The cherry blooms at the back of your mouth like springtime near the Capitol in D.C. or a Japanese cherry blossom landscape. It's where cake and donut collide into something that redefines the experience for kids and kids at heart. SNAP-CRACKLE-POP TREAT WITH AN UPGRADE THAT'S SWEET The Brown Butter Rice Krispie Treat Donut is another five-star execution of both concept and flavor. The Rice Krispies are real -- not decorative. They sit in a marshmallow flow atop a lightly sweet donut that oozes buttery goodness, with just the right touch of salt to elevate the sweetness and add that extra delight on the palate.
