My total gift purchase was just over $80. When I asked the sales person for (a) box, she informed me that I could not have one since my purchases were from the clearance rack. She added that they have a plain plastic bag for clearance items. I usually go to Janie and Jack when I need to purchase a baby gift and they provide gift boxes even if the items are on clearance. There will be around 35 ladies at the shower this Sunday, so the sales person at Sweet Pea missed a relatively inexpensive opportunity to advertise her store. In addition, I will ABSOLUTELY be returning to J&J when I am in need of a shower gift.

That person receives a percentage of the profit. The shopping experience was a bit overwhelming, so give yourself plenty of time. The more you put into prepping your consignment items, the more $$ you'll walk away with. If you volunteer time, you can shop earlier than the crowds and have more choices. It's a great way to "level up" your stuff to get rid of the baby supplies and get new-to-you older kid things, but the vast majority of the sale is younger kids/baby things.

I bought 2 items one day and tried a dress on that was 132.00 dollars that I said I was going to…read morethink about, I wasn't sure about it. So I decided that night to go back and try it on again to decide for sure and they said it was gone, it wasn't even 24 hours later. The owner of the store helped me this time and told me she could special order it and I asked about returns, since I wasn't sure about it and she said that I could get merchandise credit but they didn't give cash, I said fine because I could find something else to buy. Then she said they were having a trunk show from this designer in 2 weeks so I could wait for that and she wouldn't have to charge me shipping, but when I was looking on their website it said free shipping over 100.00, so it was for their benefit, not mine , another lie they told me. When I tried the dress on at home I decided it wasn't that flattering and I didn't want it, when I tried to take it back the 2 women working ,one of whod had helped me when I bought it, told me there were no returns on special orders, and the owner who had told me when I bought it that I could get store credit now said I could not return it at all. So they lost me permanently as a customer, I don't shop anywhere with such bad customer service and return policies, there are way to many other great stores to choose from, I really didn't even like the store very much it was hard to shop for me and you obviously can't trust what they say.
