My total gift purchase was just over $80. When I asked the sales person for (a) box, she informed me that I could not have one since my purchases were from the clearance rack. She added that they have a plain plastic bag for clearance items. I usually go to Janie and Jack when I need to purchase a baby gift and they provide gift boxes even if the items are on clearance. There will be around 35 ladies at the shower this Sunday, so the sales person at Sweet Pea missed a relatively inexpensive opportunity to advertise her store. In addition, I will ABSOLUTELY be returning to J&J when I am in need of a shower gift.

That person receives a percentage of the profit. The shopping experience was a bit overwhelming, so give yourself plenty of time. The more you put into prepping your consignment items, the more $$ you'll walk away with. If you volunteer time, you can shop earlier than the crowds and have more choices. It's a great way to "level up" your stuff to get rid of the baby supplies and get new-to-you older kid things, but the vast majority of the sale is younger kids/baby things.

Once Upon a Child definitely serves it purpose. I brought a large bin of my son's clothes here to…read moresell (Infant - 2T) and this was my first time in Once Upon a Child. They have boys and girls clothes in racks to the ceiling! They have strollers, costumes, shoes, toys, etc. Literally everything that a kid would need. I was only here to sell however, so I dropped my bin off and completed the check-in process that would text me when they were finished going through my items. I docked one star because my bin was there all day and I finally got notified in the late afternoon, so it took a bit longer than quoted. I had dropped my things off right when they opened at 10am. They took about 75% of the clothes and I got $54 cash. Not bad! I was happy to sell to them and was going to donate the clothes anyway, so I was very pleased. I'll definitely be back to sell more in the future.
