This is my standby for meeting friends old and new close by my house. It's a large lofty type space with high ceilings that somehow managed not to feel cavernous. Lots of natural light from the north-facing front glass wall. Staff are a diverse mix if people always ready with a smile and time to chat about the menu or give their opinions on the slip of the day. Food-wise, lots of vegan and veggie options, but also have a great lamb shank shakshuka. The sourdough bread, baked on premises daily, is the best we've found in town (even downtown in the CBD) - we drop by sometimes just for a load to take home, and I've basically stopped buying supermarket bread unless we're in a real pinch and know Wild life is already closed. The place is also super pram-friendly for those with tiny family members. But, again, big enough that everyone has enough space to enjoy their meal or coffee. read more
