I was super impressed by everything about the brewery and so wish it was closer to me so we could hang out there all the time. The place was absolutely beautiful. I loved their wooden beer signs and their outdoor tables. The space was huge and a great place for fun events. I loved their telephone booth selfie booth! They had food trucks on site and a great outdoor space. I really loved seeing so many dogs there! The event itself was absolutely incredible!! It was so cool seeing people dressed in full armor! I loved seeing the birds too. There were people dressed in costume who sent us on a bit of a scavenger hunt. We so enjoyed meeting the different costumed actors and being sent around to look for specific characters! A lot of thought and planning went into this event and we so appreciate the experience. Their beers were AMAZING!! We tried three different beers and loved them all. My favorite was the Spice Ghouls. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their beers. All of the staff members we interacted with were super nice. They were all working so hard to make the beer lines move fast. I love the cups! They had people pay $1 for the cup and then use it for each beer. I love that because it cut back on waste! I'm looking forward to next year. Hugger Mugger gave me a real sense of community. What a great place! I'll definitely visit again before their next anniversary.

Our amazing bartnder, an antique junkie herself, was super cool. She talked us through the beers on tap, shared what the regulars loved most, and without hesitating, poured us tastes so we could discover our own favorites. If we're back in Sanford (and hoping we will soon) we'll for sure be back at Hugger Mugger.

Seat yourself setup, but plenty of seating available. Our server, Madison, was at the table in under a minute with menus, and food came out in less than 12 minutes. She was efficient and attentive without making us feel rushed. This is a gastropub, meaning a casual bar-style restaurant that puts more focus on food quality than a typical bar menu. The space reflects that. Mix of standard tables with chairs, booths, and a small lounge area with cushioned chairs and a sofa. He ordered the Reuben, I had the pulled pork with collards. Prices were reasonable at $12 for the pork and $13.50 for the Reuben, each with one side. We both wanted the cucumber tomato salad, but they were out. The pulled pork came with a red, vinegar-leaning sauce. Not sweet and not strictly Lexington style, more of a house take on North Carolina barbecue. Still flavorful and satisfying. The collards were good with small bits of bacon that added flavor without overpowering. The Reuben was decent, but the toasted brioche bun stood out. Good texture and held everything together the way it should. The pasta side was fine, nothing memorable. Total bill came to $27.26. We both stuck with water, which keeps things simple and keeps the cost down. Overall, a solid stop for a quick, easy lunch. Nothing over the top, but everything came together the way it should. Must order: Pulled pork with collards Heads up: Sides may run out, have a backup in mind

The flavor was good but not earth shattering. If you aren't a brisket snob, you'll love this place! The bar aspect of this restaurant was really cool looking. We went at an off time and there were a good many people there. Service was pretty slow and not attentive.

My husband and I visited on a Saturday in November around 2:30-3pm. It was busy but not crowded,…read morethere was plenty of parking and lots of open tables inside and picnic tables outside to sit at. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day, especially for November. We first heard about the cider when we visited their booth at the state fair and had a sample of one of their ciders. We were told they were available in the Raleigh area at Whole Foods but when we went to Whole Foods there was only 1 bottle of 1 variety there. We decided we would just take the hour drive down to the actual cider house and then we'd get to try them all and have a huge assortment to choose from. This was not the case though and I have to say we were very disappointed. Very few of the varieties available on their website are available at the cider house. The bartender said some of them were seasonal but then why not update the website? They actually only had 10 varieties available on tap and unfortunately only 5 of those were ones we had picked out from the website. We are big bourbon fans and go around to a lot of the bourbon distilleries so I do understand that 10 varieties IS actually a lot, especially considering a small distillery would not have anywhere near that many varieties. I just wish our expectations hadn't exceeded the actual visit. The flights were really fun to taste, we got 2 flights so we each got to taste 8 of the varieties and we picked 4 out from those 10 that we liked. But then we also wanted to buy a bottle of each of the ones we liked for Thanksgiving and only 3 were available....

It was raining pretty good today but we needed something to do. This place is amazing. GREAT slushies and tasty cider. Snd the grounds are so charming and adorable. We even brought home some local peaches which is fun. The worker gave even gave me a pour tour book so I can get to know the local nearby breweries. Can't wait to go back. Upon reading into them I love them even more. Their values are on par with my families which I appreciate especially in this area. Kudos!
