They were already the only florist I regularly ordered arrangements from before I was engaged, so there was never really a question of who I wanted for our wedding. I already knew I loved their flowers, but boy, was I blown away by what they were able to create when the wedding day finally came. I feel like we truly had the most gorgeous wedding florals of all time. While we already thought we would love the flowers themselves, working with Iann and the Plum team made me love their entire operation even more. They took my scattered ideas and inspiration photos and somehow turned them into what I genuinely believe were the most beautiful wedding flowers I have ever seen. Every arrangement felt unique, intentional, and completely us. They were also incredibly thoughtful about our budget, finding creative ways to repurpose our ceremony flowers throughout the reception, including around our sweetheart table, without sacrificing the vision for a second. Beyond the flowers, Plum is just a really cool business run by really cool, down-to-earth people. Buyer beware! La Ocasión Flower Shop is not worth your money or your mother's! Here's our story…read more... My elderly mom ordered me a "splendid" orchid for a special occasion. She was offered two upgrades by La Ocasion Flower Shop and accepted them both at additional charges. My mother was so excited to arrange for this special surprise. Upon delivery, I sent her a picture of my orchid, thanking her for the thoughtfulness. Immediately, she realized there was a mistake. While pretty, it was not at all what she ordered and paid for. She immediately phoned La Ocasión. For three weeks, she left messages and received little response and no accountability. She was told they didn't have the supplies to deliver what they sold her, but did not offer any sort of recompense. It wasn't until she threatened to call the Better Business Bureau that they processed a refund. Mistakes happen. Supply chain shortages happen. However, selling her an out of stock product and then refusing to take accountability for weeks is terrible business. Pictures attached. Like most seniors, my mother lives on a fixed income. She was so distressed at the idea La Ocasión might be taking advantage of her. For three weeks, she worried about a resolution. She didn't tell me until it was over. I am appalled and disappointed at the way she was treated. I do not recommend La Ocasión.
