I was thrilled to find a place for a single mom on a limited budget to shop for clothes and toys that were affordable...usually less than half the original sticker price. I was able to provide clothes and toys for many years thanks to your business. Fast forward to March 2025. I now have 3 granddaughters. We watch them every other weekend. My spouse and I are both disabled and back on a limited budget, which I never thought I'd be at the age of 50 after working in the corporate world for 20 years. I thought - hey...we just moved back to this side of town, I can shop for the girls at Once Upon a Child! NOPE. Won't do it now OR EVER!!! Imagine my surprise when I went to the size 12 section for girls and found an adorable white tank top with some brown and tan butterflies on it --- something I would expect to pay a couple dollars for at a SECOND HAND SHOP. NOPE - $6.00. I thought maybe it was a mistake so I looked at the very next white tank top that was plain white...with the top of the front with frilly material. $4.00. WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!? I worked in negotiations...maybe these are opening prices....maybe? I went up to the counter and asked if the prices were negotiable. I was told, only if there is obvious damage. Well, no damage to those shirts...other than Once Upon a Child wanting to rip off customers. I am extremely disappointed in what this business has become. Maybe it's because the location borders on Sylvania/Toledo that as a business you think it is okay to charge these prices? Maybe it's because your business model has changed and instead of trying to serve a population that lives paycheck to paycheck you are now more interested in profit? Let's just say that I will take my business elsewhere, probably to the actual stores that sell those items brand new for the price you are charging for used...or even less. Honestly....you should be disappointed.

Why there are 3 or 4 marijuana dispensaries right next to each other in the tiny (population under…read more2,500) town of Morenci, Michigan along the Ohio-Michigan border is quite the mystery, but Pinnacle Emporium is likely my favorite one. After second-guessing my GPS for the better part of an hour as we drove along barely two-lane country roads with more numbers than letters for names and empty fields on both sides, we came to a hedge of dispensaries with Pinnacle Emporium first followed by Michigan Provisions right next door albeit in a separate building. Currently, Pinnacle and other dispensaries in Michigan are considered essential businesses however medical and recreational cannabis orders are pick-up/curbside only. I ordered online the morning of and then called to be sure I'd have whatever needed to pick up my first order. An ID and cash is all you need for pickup. Credit/debit/etc is not accepted as their major merchants don't allow cannabis-related transactions due to it all still being federally illegal. For Pinnacle, you can order on the website itself or through "weedmaps.com". I tried to order through Weedmaps however upon calling I was told Weedmaps is not as current inventory-wise as the website itself and that anything ordered must have "REC" or "MED" in its title according to what you're buying it for. For example, if you want a recreational order, all of your products must say "product name REC" and you cannot mix rec and med orders. Weedmaps told me they had capsules they were actually out of- no big deal though since you pay when you arrive and not ahead of time. They really should just opt out of having a menu on Weedmaps if it is just going to cause headaches for customers though. We arrived after driving through nearly-empty roads and a mostly empty town to a packed parking lot. We rolled down our windows, immediately heard the crowing of a rooster next door, called the place, and a nice gentleman was out to greet us within 5 minutes. He took my ID, scanned it in, and went inside to get my order. After about 10 minutes, a very friendly woman in a mask came out to the car with my total. I told her I was a first responder and she went back in and came out with a 25% discount off my bill. There is a 10% discount if you're a first timer too but it does not combine with the first responder (EMT, physician, nurse, etc.) discount. In another 10 or so minutes our order came out in a white paper bag and we were off to enjoy at home. I have one concern which is pretty significant- mislabeling on website for vape cartridges vs the products themselves. 1. Forbidden Fruit was listed on the Pinnacle menu as indica. The box (see photo) clearly says sativa! Huge bummer. 2. Tangie was listed as sativa on the Pinnacle website. The box clearly says "hybrid". I get that most everything is a hybrid these days but only if it is clearly significantly sativa or indica should it be named as such on the website. Very misleading. 3. "Twisted Haze" was listed as sativa on the website (see photo). The box says nothing- not sativa, indica, nor hybrid- and the MKX oils website says nothing either. Misleading again IMO. Overall this was a great experience except when we got home and realized we'd been fooled by the incorrect website information. We were too tired from travel to be ticked off but I hope this serves as a warning for those buying from Pinnacle to check your products before you leave the lot and ensure what you think you are purchasing is actually what the product claims to be on its packaging!

TLDR; I ordered an ounce of top shelf flower, they instead swapped me out for a bag of shake. Yep -…read morereal shady. I am a repeat customer but won't be back because my last visit was a real let down. They were busy for the holiday so I checked in and was recommended to order online as it may be quicker. Long story short, I waited around an hour in the parking lot as they seemed to have overlooked my order or something. Never-the-less, I finally flagged someone down and they kindly got me taken care of. I had ordered an ounce of some top shelf flower that I had gotten on my previous visit - hence why I was back to load up on an ounce. Further, they were running a special for veterans which would give me a 25% discount so I was pretty excited. They brought out my order in a bag and said my purchase, receipt and change was in the bag. They also said I got the ounce for a price that was lower than I had expected - but within a close margin of the 25% discount so I didn't think much of it. Driving home (1 hour drive) I checked the bag and was disappointed to find they had sold me an ounce of shake. The largest bud in the bag is smaller than a pea. Real bummer. So getting home I found 2 receipts. One for my purchase online and a second one for 'bulk flower'. So they decided to sell me an ounce of shake for 250.00 and apply the discount to that w/o telling me. So without my permission they swapped my order for an inferior product. Had they simply said they only had shake I would have chosen a different strain - we would have both been happy. But this was very sneaky. This really bums me out because it took around 3 hours to go there, wait and purchase only to get tricked into buying something I did not want. I don't trust them and recommend others to be careful. In full honesty, they were busy that day, and they do say check your order before you leave - at least that's what I've heard them say online. However, I was a repeat customer so I felt I could trust them, and ordering online and having a bag dropped off to your car seems shady to check the flower in the parking lot vs. privately in the store. I think they need to work out that process a bit bette - or at the very least give people what they think they're buying.

With a place to donate as well as shop this store is extremely convenient too. I am honestly shocked though that there weren't fitting rooms. You would think being a new store they would've made that a priority to build into it. They do have returns though so I guess that makes up for no fitting rooms although it would've been nice and made the store even more efficient and convenient. All of the employees were very friendly although one was on her phone as we were walking up. Maybe I'm old-fashioned and I get it probably couldn't wait (kids or something) but still seemed a bit unprofessional in my book. Overall I'll definitely come back to see what other goodies I can find!
