This is regarding one of their attorneys-Jeffrey Frasier!…read moreWhen my husband first contacted Jeff Frasier about our situation, Jeff told us that "we have a strong case." Based on the information and confidence he provided during that initial phone call, we decided to move forward with him. Unfortunately, we were led on for nearly two years before going to trial. Throughout that time, Jeff repeatedly told us that we would "get something" from the case. He continued contacting us by phone and email asking for additional information about the situation, and we continued being billed for his time. Nearly a year after the lawsuit began, we met with him once to go over what to expect with the arbitration process. As someone with no prior experience suing anyone or dealing with attorneys, I relied heavily on my attorney to properly prepare and guide us. Unfortunately, that meeting left me with even more questions and did not make me feel prepared for what was ahead. Jeff then sent a junior attorney to handle the arbitration. In our experience, she appeared inexperienced and unprofessional. She essentially sat in the room with us during the arbitration, and we were billed for her time and presence, which was very concerning to us. After nearly two years of legal bills, we finally went to trial. Unfortunately, Jeff did not appear prepared or knowledgeable about our case. During the trial, he stumbled through his presentation and became frustrated. At one point, the judge even told him that he was repeating himself. On the second day of trial, the judge issued a directed verdict, meaning the judge ruled in favor of the other side because our side had not presented enough evidence to support our claim. The outcome was extremely devastating, especially after being told at the beginning that we had a "strong case." After nearly two years, substantial legal fees, stress, and time invested in this case, we were left feeling that we had not received the preparation, guidance, or representation we expected from our attorney. In the end, we walked away with absolutely nothing--except huge legal bills. I am sharing our experience because potential clients deserve to hear what our experience was like before deciding whether to hire Jeff Frasier. Based on our experience, we do not recommend him.

I had two needs of a tax accountant: 1) how to allocate estate assets into two trusts to minimize…read moreOregon State tax consequences; and 2) file the initial Oregon State estate tax return. I connected with Eichenbaum Bateman Larkin in late January. Their commitment was to provide advice on trust funding and then work on the tax return after April 15th. Despite three separate commitment dates, and multiple requests, no advice was ever provided. Nor was any communication provided of the process or timing to do so. I think this lack of transparency and reliability was far worst than the unfulfilled commitments. As the Trustee for these trusts, I was left in the dark as to how to fund the two trusts with no clear expectation as to when it would ever be provided. In fact, EBL did not even provide a "preliminary" list of its needed documentation until 6/11. And even then, communication was unclear until 7/27 when EBL stated the need to file an extension for the tax return (recognizing that it had yet to do anything to provide the needed guidance to allow me to conduct the initial funding of the trusts...leaving the Trustee in limbo all of this time). Then, after notifying EBL that I had lost confidence in them and would find an alternative to complete the work, EBL sent me a bill. Recognize that they had yet to provide any guidance or benefit; and had yet to even review any of the documentation from the preliminary list of documentation. EBL's lack of performance and undependable fulfillment of commitments may well be associated with my engagement being a small project. I really don't know. But my experience demonstrated a lack of professionality, lack of expertise in trust administration and lack customer-centric service.
