I called wilco premium roofing after seeing their Facebook ad. They immediately answered and took my info. They said they'd pull the satellite images and reports and be there Monday morning 10/22/2923. Monday at lunch they were no call or show. I called and they didn't answer but they called right back. They agreed to come then and they did. They did a thorough inspection and we talked for 1 hour. I informed them many contractors were scared of my 28 square roof and didn't even return calls after inspection. They talked about communication being key and how great they are. "They can build me a house from the ground up!" I already have my checks from insurance. I told them if the roof is too difficult just say that. They assured me it was not a problem. They would put me a bid together as soon as I got the insurance paperwork to them. They informed me it wasn't worth their time if they didn't maximize what the insurance would give them. So they couldn't put a bid together without seeing what the insurance paid me. That seems unethical, but I said fine. I need it replaced immediately. There was much interior damage as the first insurance company went out of business and no one could be found for 8 months. They assured me they could get that work supplemented and would submit the paperwork. I immediately had the bank and myself email them the insurance paperwork. I called with no answer. I text and asked if they got it? No answer. The following day I text again already having reservations because of this lack of communication. They acknowledged they got the emails and were working on the bid. The next day I called and text with no answer. Thursday they finally answered on text and said they were getting the bid together. Friday I called with no answer. So I sent a text and said they were reminding me of all the other companies with lack of communication. The owner Matt Wilburn responded trying to gaslight me saying I was trying to do insurance fraud and they aren't interested. My security cameras recorded every conversation while here. I have every text and phone conversation. This unethical con had the audacity to say this lie because I called him out on his lack of communication! They never mentioned anything other than getting the bid together until I confronted his poor business practices! I told him all he had to do was say that he was not interested in my project instead of dragging it on for a week and then gaslighting me with lies. I informed him I'm going to write this review and he said he wished I wouldn't and he would contest it. Now we will see the effectiveness my honest reviews have on businesses. Stop lying, be ethical and communicate. One point in his favor he assured me he knows how to get the maximum out of all insurance companies! One other thing. After I received his absurd response I went on his Facebook page and saw him using photos from my house to drum up business. He couldn't do the work, but tried to use the damaged photos to sucker others in. Talk about ethics or lack thereof! You've been warned. read more
