When I explained this to him, he refused to examine the aching tooth, stating that he would not look at it until I had a filling replaced on a different tooth. This did not make sense to me, as the tooth requiring the replacement filling was not causing me any issues. When I specifically asked, "So you aren't going to even look at the tooth that is hurting?" he rudely responded, "No." I left the office with my tooth still in pain, and the following day I cancelled my two upcoming appointments. I felt that the practice was more focused on financial gain than on addressing my immediate dental needs and pain.

The ladies at the front desk (Lodi office) were so sweet and working their behinds off. Immaculately clean office. I was so nervous to be under general anesthesia and before I was given the injection, I was literally shaking and holding the MA's hand. She was so kind and settled my nerves some even though I was still really anxious. Amazing experience. I woke up roughly 40 minutes after procedure began which was beyond my expectations as Dr. Payne said it may be a bit challenging to extract this specific tooth. Provided after care instructions and he called the same afternoon post surgery as promised. I highly recommend him and this office!

My dentist had to refer me out. I went to this place as a walk-in emergency. Abscess resolved, the wisdom tooth pulled and I didn't even realize the procedure had taken place. I was so scared of being put under anesthesia. I was afraid I'd be feeling all the pain without being able to move, or of some kind of complication arising and never waking up... but I'm here to tell you, I was sitting there talking with the Dr. one moment, and the next thing I know -I kid you not- I opened my eyes thinking I had just dozed off for a moment, asked if they were going to start yet (the Dr. and Assistant), to which they warmly laughed and informed me they were done. Praise God I was so happy!!! For over 10 years I had been putting that off and it was finally over thanks to God, my family, the original dentist and these people. I was cleaning tonight and found my old paperwork for this procedure and realized I never left a review and I really wanted to, so here I am now. Ontop of all of that, they are honest. Not long after the procedure, I got a check in the mail for about a hundred dollars. Apparently I had been overcharged by accident. I mean c'mon that kind of righteousness is rare in this world. They didn't have to do that, I would have never known better. With all of that being said - 10/10 HIGHLY recommend, I would definitely go here again - though I hope I never need to ! More brushing, better flossing, water pick and just more awareness of what a clean mouth is supposed to feel like. And, as they always are, very painful. The dentist's assistant was very brusque. I waited about 15 minutes with no one attending me on the dentist's chair. Then the dentist appeared, said hi, scoped out my mouth and said I had nice teeth. Moved on to cleaning them(probably a 2 minute job max!) which isn't what I am use to. Usually they take 25-30 minutes with a cleaning. Then the assistant came back to polish me off(3-5 minutes at most). Over all I wouldn't return. The office was too small for my taste. Everything was cramped and you can hear and see other guests including the one's in the waiting area.

I was in severe pain and while calling…read morequite a few dentists looking to be treated as soon as possible, only Gary Wong's office squeezed me in his booked schedule because he had the empathy of understanding I was in severe pain instead of just running a business. That alone is hard to find. What I liked about actually going to his office is that it is a family environment and the dentist and his staff are friendly and personable. What I liked even more is that he is very good at his job as a professional and made my pain go away. His sincerity showed in relieving my pain than the formalities of up-selling and dragging out appointments for the sake of creating more appointments and billings that is typical in many dentists. And even more importantly, whether you have insurance or not, Dr. Wong has very fair rates and more interested in your care than how much money can be bilked from you that I've found in many dentist offices today.
