Wigs N' Things

So thankful for Wigs n' Things!! I had such a great experience with Debbie and Sherry. They made me…read morefeel so welcome and took the time to inform me about all the wigs they had to offer. I left feeling so confident and beautiful in my new wig!! If you're in need of a wig, Wigs N' Things is the place to go.

Let's just say that my experience here was so frustrating & demeaning that I'm not quite sure where…read moreto begin. During my first visit (6/25), I expressed my concerns, needs & issues I have with multiple wigs that I rotate through. One of my biggest struggles is that my hair is so baby fine that I cannot use wig caps, bobby pins, snap clips, glue or tape. These items do not secure my wig in place so I was very hesitant to buy the suggested hair grip wrap. The shop where I bought my previous wig was very understanding & worked with me to find a solution when my wig kept shifting or falling off - the stylists even sewed small hair extension snap clips inside of my wig & offered to arrange the placement (for free) if I felt where she had placed them wasn't comfortable. I wish I could say that my experience with Wigs N' Things was equally accommodating & satisfactory but it was anything but. I thought at first that I was doing something wrong and watched countless videos swearing up & down that these wig grip wraps will magically fix all of your problems. My wrap gives me an instant headache & does not secure my wig in place. I even had my husband watch me place the wrap on to make sure I was following the instructions but regardless of what I did; the wrap would slip off my scalp. It was incredibly embarrassing for me when it slid up underneath my wig & then both items fell off my head multiple times. To pay $25.00 for a wrap that doesn't work and $491.00 for a wig that I can't even wear is beyond frustrating. I made an appointment with Sherry(or Debbie?) the discuss a solution & the falsely advertised wig I purchased from her. On 7/19, before I even entered the shop Sherry was talking sh*t about me on the phone. My appointment was at 2:00pm, I arrived at 1:52 yet "Oh, THERE she is" with a nasty expression on her face was my greeting. As I sat in the waiting area she continued to run her mouth making sure I heard select comments " Well I have to be somewhere at 3", "I don't know how longs this is going to take... you know how THESE people are",etc. As she kept making comments she eventually went into the back room to clearly say something nasty about me that she didn't want me to hear & came out immediately afterwards continuing to express that she didn't have time for me. I'm not going to lie, I treat others how they treat me-always; so when she finally got off the phone she knew she had p*ssed me off & enjoyed every immature minute of it. My face was flushed with anger & I could feel my hands shaking but she didn't back off & continued to show just how unprofessional she truly is. During our 20 minute conversation she kept repeating herself & completely ignoring my hints, concerns & questions. When I told her about the wrap not staying in place she replied " You're doing it wrong" even though I wasn't & stating that know one has ever told her that the wrap doesn't work. I held my ground & told her the wrap is sh*t & wanted a satisfactory solution to the problem. She continuously treated me as if I was lying, her previous comments about having to be somewhere made me feel unwelcome & stupid. When I asked multiple times about what other options I had to secure my wig she just kept repeating " Know one else has a problem" & " I don't know what to tell you", " All wigs are a final purchase", " I'm the co-owner so...". I mentioned that my husband had watched a number or videos & asked about a silicone grip wrap; her reply was with extra attitude- " That's not a grip wrap!" When I purchased the wig, it had a few pretty curls around the face & was wavy & with volume. After two days, I noticed that the wig seemed flat & the waves seemed to be disappearing. She had told me that the waves permanently set into the wig & that even after washing it they would keep. I was also told that I could wear the wig in a ponytail if so desired- LIES!!!!! The wig itself is of very poor quality but I unfortunately didn't realize this until after I had purchased it. If you look at my pictures & videos; you'll see that there are multiple spots on the very top of the wig that appear fried or burnt. You'll also discover that the wave is pretty much non existent & frizzy. She did nothing to fix the problem!!! If you want repeat customers, this is not the way to address the issue. I posted videos on youtube to show how the grip doesn't work. If this has happened to you, you can try reversing the charges with your credit card company which is exactly what I'm going to do.
