With lightning striking and heavy rain moving in, our first priority was getting the baby -- and ourselves -- to safety. We attempted to dock temporarily at Bootlegger Lounge's dock to reach a restaurant across the street, even offering to purchase drinks as paying customers to justify using their dock for a few minutes. The response we received from the staff, specifically the woman who came outside, was shockingly rude and completely devoid of compassion. Despite the fact that their dock was completely empty, the bar was nearly empty, and no one else was attempting to park there in the storm, we were told we could neither dock nor even anchor nearby. This forced us to head back into dangerous weather with a baby on board. A business that refuses to extend even basic human decency during a life-threatening storm -- especially when it would not have hindered their operations in any way -- is not a business I will ever support. Safety, kindness, and community should come before rigid and unnecessary enforcement of rules, and unfortunately, Bootlegger Lounge failed on all counts.

We walked in and we're seated pretty quickly, but then we had to wait approximately 15 minutes before someone even came by and acknowledged us sitting down. Of course in that amount of time we were ready to place our order. 20 minutes later, ur food came out. It was decent. Accurate. Nothing to write home about. Because of the poor customer service, my husband ended up leaving about 15% tip on our bill which ended up being around $45. Fast-forward a few weeks, my husband is looking at the credit card bill and sees that there is a $90 charge for Buffalo wild wings in Oxford! Imagine our surprise! He calls his credit card company and begins the dispute process. Two days later, the general manager of the store calls my husband And says that the waitress miskeyed in the tip, giving herself a $45 tip not a total of $45 bill. She was apologetic, but I can only imagine how many other times this has been done to other customers. I will never visit this location again and I warn you to check your credit card bill if you do decide to stop here.
