Our very first pup was adopted from Pasadena Humane back in 2003, and she brought us nearly 17 wonderful years of joy. During the pandemic, we got into jogging, and I'd been eyeing the Wiggle Waggle 5K for a while--but it always seemed to fall on a weekend I was out of town. Finally, in 2025, we were able to join in with our new pup, Kiki, a recent rescue from the WLA shelter. If you're planning to participate, I highly recommend arriving early to check in both pups and humans, and to explore all the amazing vendors. We had our team photo taken by Wren Louis Photography, and my friend even won a pair of Skechers at the BOBS booth. Starbucks was also handing out plenty of pup cups, which was a hit with the dogs. I'd say about 90% of participants are walkers, making it a fun, relaxed vibe. It was so heartwarming to see all the volunteers making signs and cheering on all the walkers and runners. This year Pasadena Humane hosted its 25th annual Wiggle Waggle Walk. It was the organizations 20th year at Brookside Park and my 16th year participating. A few months after adopting my baby girl, Coco Chanel, as a puppy from Pasadena Humane 16 years ago, I received a notice about the Wiggle Waggle Walk and said to her, "They saved your life now you have to give back." She's been walking along side me ever since. I love participating in this annual fundraiser. Seeing all the adorable doggies makes my heart so happy. I always cry a little at the start of the walk because I get emotional thinking about how all these adorable pups' lives were saved and they were given a second chance. It's so wonderful to be a part of that. Participants have the option of walking the 3-mile loop around the Rose Bowl or the 1-mile course around the soccer field. Enthusiastic volunteers provide water for you and your pup and cheer you on along the way. Each walker who registered receives a t-shirt and a medal upon completion and your fur baby gets a bandana. The event is well organized and vendors are plentiful - handing out freebees and info on their services. There is a Pasadena PD K-9 demonstration, entertainment, and food trucks. My favorite is the costume contest. The doggies in their costumes are so darn cute! My participation in this annual fundraiser has led me to become more involved with Pasadena Humane. I'm proud to support this fantastic shelter. The work they do for the community and countless hours committed to saving our furry friends is amazing. Approximately 1,470 people participated in this year's walk - collectively raising about $313,600.00, which exceeded the goal of $250,000.00. There are a couple of options for the event: you can run it or walk it, plus there is a short course around the new Recreation Loop or you can walk all the way around the stadium, which is the 3-mile loop. Every walker gets a t-shirt along with the registration fee, and the dogs get a scarf! At the end of the walk, there are vendors with lots of dog-related items and services, and even a little snack stand. This is the second year in a row that Frankie and I have participated in the Wiggle Waggle Walk. Once again we had a great time but not without problems. When the two of us walked through the finish line we found out they ran out of medals for the finishers. We got there early for check in so I got my shirt and Frankie got her kerchief. I think for next year it should be mandatory that everyone, like myself, that ordered online well in advance should be guaranteed their shirt, kerchief and medal. The people that pay the day of should not be guaranteed but can get it by mail if they run out. So I will be getting our medal in the mail. Besides that I loved it and love supporting the cause to raise money for the Pasadena shelter. The walk was a little over 3 miles that went around the Rose Bowl and Brookside golf course. read more

5 stars This is my fur-st Wiggle Waggle Walk and I'm so glad I attended today 9/18/22. I was a bit hesitant since my dog isn't always the calmest dog in the yard. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how good my dog behaved and how patient the other dog owners were with a still-learning dog! I'm forever grateful for that! Check-in was at 8am and walk was at 9am. I checked-in at 7:40-ish am to give my dog some time to decompress. Once checked in, I picked up my t-shirt, Teddy's bandana, and walked around a bit. The vendors are a bit scarce, but overall, I got to see some really cute pet-themed clothing and accessories. There were only 2 food vendors - Carl's Jr and Fat Boys. I was kinda hoping Kona Ice would show up after the walk, but I didn't see them. Overall, a very fun event for a good cause. Early registration was $40 and $65 if you register the day of. They have a cheering commitee to cheer for you and your dog when you start and finish the race, which was pretty cute! read more

This was our first time participating in this sweet 5k run/walk for pups with their parents! If you have a social dog, they will be in doggie heaven at this race! I love how well organized everything was - from the registration process, check-in on event day and lots of volunteers everywhere to help. Everything was legit, just like a marathon for people. I loved all the signage and the start/finish line props. The water stations provided full-size water bottles and there were two routes, a 5k and a 1-mile for the less active pups. As a runner, I do lots of runs and I'm almost always disappointed in the race tees, but I loved the quality of the soft tees for this event and I've worn mine several times already. Even the medals were quite large and super cute. There were some cool vendors after the race and we especially liked the obstacle course and K9 demonstration. My puppy now wants to be a cop-dog when she grows up! :) She came home so pooped out after a morning filled with dogs, people to pet her, and a walk/run and so much excitement! Thank PHS for a fabulous day with our baby girl! We look forward to next year's event! read more

Super fun event! I love these sort of things- when the community comes together and joins forces for a good cause, that's when we all win. Although I don't have a dog and didn't personally participate in the walk, I had a great time. Now, imagine if I had done both of those- I would have had an even grander time. I appreciated all the vendors that attended, from Kind bar to Jones Coffee Roasters. Free samples? Yes, please! I also want to say a personal 'thank you' to all the wonderful owners that brought their pups, it really made my day seeing all the gorgeous puppers! i felt emotionally supported throughout. It was a free therapy session. I also really LOVED the space, Brookside Park in Pasadena! There was plenty of parking for vendors and attendants, alike. Public restrooms were available to the public. It's the bow to the wow, wiggling and waggling, yiggy yes y'allin, cute doggy dogs at the Rose Bowl despite the pouring rain~ Bow wow wow yippy yo yippy yay! So the 2014 Wiggle Waggle Walk was the 16th in the event's history, but it was our family's first. But like all firsts, the event was not smooth in the beginning because when we woke up to head over to the Rose Bowl, it was raining "dogs and bigger dogs" (sorry cats, no love for you in this review). Despite the incredibly rare Southern California rain, all 8 of our legs (Charlie, the wife, and me) headed over to the Rose Bowl because dogs and their parents are dogged like that. A little rain was not going to hold us back! By the time we pulled into the parking lot, it was as if all the dogs in heaven had "yelped" at the rain gods to stop because the rain had become a drizzle and by the time we finished signing in with the help of all the awesome volunteers (especially the young students), the rain had completely stopped. The Wiggle Waggle Walk is a free event held by the Pasadena Human Society and SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), which uses the event to raise funds to help homeless and abandoned animals. Every year the event seems to get bigger and there were a ton of four-legged furry balls of cuteness overload in all shapes and sizes all over the place. Oh yea, and there were humans too that included walkers, volunteers, and sponsors. All you have to do is register beforehand and you don't even need a dog to participate. The sponsors included various groups that gave away all kinds of swag of which we really appreciated the great folks from the VCA Animal Hospital and the super generous Natural Balance people. And how could we leave out Yelp which was manned by the best packleader, Katie B., who was not only handing out various Yelp swag, but her famous hugs as well? The walk consisted of a short walk (less than a mile) and a long walk (approximately 3.2 miles/5K). We opted for the long walk because Charlie had done the Rose Bowl Loop many times before and it was a wise choice because he really enjoyed shaking his little booty with all the other doggies (and sniffing them as well) while being filmed by the Wiggle Waggle Walk drone. By the time we made it back, the Pasadena Police Department's K9 Unit was putting on some awesome exhibitions where Bono, a Belgian Malanois, was showing off his impressive crime-fighting skills that would have definitely made McGruff the Crime Dog proud. It was funny too when during one demonstration Bono attacked an officer dressed as a criminal and even Charlie got into the action by yelping and howling. We definitely enjoyed this event and will be back next year and the year after that... and the year after that. Well you get the picture! What a woof-tastic event! read more

Two words: Cuteness overload. As a huge dog lover, I was pretty much in heaven here! If you've got a furry friend and you haven't been to a Wiggle Waggle Walk, you're missing out! This is a great annual event for a great cause...fundraising for the Pasadena Humane Society as well as the ASPCA. Meebo, my friend's handsome dog, was my partner in crime today. Meebo and I had a grand 'ole time making new furry friends and visiting the many booths at this event before the walk started. Booths ranged from dog treats, to hospitals/vets, to dog costumes and toys, and even doggie caricatures! How cute! There were tons of free samples, swag, prizes and informative flyers. I walked around at least 3 times and felt like I couldn't hit up all the booths (mainly because I was so distracted by the doggies EVERYWHERE!!) Finally the walk. There were two tracks to choose from, a 1-mile or a 3-mile. We went on the 1-mile track because I wasn't too sure if Meebo could last so long with so much excitement (among so many other furry friends). It went by so fast and it was also a very smooth/easy walk. There's also some water stops along the way for each trail. I'm thinking about doing the 3-mile next time. =) There's water buckets everywhere for doggies to drink from and I believe some booths had poop bags, but I didn't really see many. I brought my own bags in case they didn't have any. We also brought our own portable water bowl to fill with bottled water in case we were not close to a water bucket. I'm a HUGE fan of this event and will definitely want to do it again next year (hopefully with my own pup!) I can't wait for next year!!! The wiggle waggle walk this year was wonderful!! It was really touching to see so many people and dogs walking for an incredible cause. Whether people donated or just created awareness it was all truly appreciated. My team was able to together collect over $500!!! . You have the option to walk one mile or do 3 miles. There was lots of friendly people and dogs to go all around. Everyone was happy, smiling and were even happy to provide doggie bags and water to others when needed. Every single dog I saw was for sure wagging his/her tail in joy. This year if you raised $50, you would be able to get a really neat t-shirt to show and share your support and awareness with others. Each dog was welcomed with a Wiggle Waggle Walk bandana to wear throughout the day and to keep as a reminder that they are loved. The weather was gorgeous today and this year's event had lots of vendors from people sharing their talents such as the doggonecute with super cute bandanas and doggie bow ties, lots dogs and even some cats up for adoptions, the Dog Bakery was there as well to give out some free doggie cupcakes, and there was even some food trucks for the humans. There was also a lot of free samples given out, K9 Police dog demonstrations and even micro-chipping and registration available at the spot for your furry babies. It honestly was one of the bestest events I've attended. My little Porkchop had a blast and is pooped from the day. I am pretty excited to do this again next year, I would highly recommend it to anyone. I had a fantastic time here today!! I drove my pups down a little later and got here around 8:30 AM (opens at 8:00 AM), but there was still parking. This event was very organized as there were a lot of volunteers to make sure the parking was smooth and to direct you to the right places. I didn't check out the booths, so I am not sure what freebies were out there as I had to leave early, but I definitely will visit them next year! There were a lot of people and of course loads of dogs! It was quite crowded at the beginning of the walk before it forked off to the 3 mile or 1 mile pathway. Most small dogs took the 1 mile one. Most dogs are friendly here but of course there's bound to be a couple who will bark and snap at your dog. I try to keep my dog away from others' even though she is super friendly. My shier boy actually did quite well although he was excited with all the sights and smells and pulled a bit. There are plenty of grassy areas with less people, so there is always a path away from other dogs, so f you want to bring a more shy dog to this big event, it is totally doable! read more

The walk is for a good purpose and for that I am so glad that we went this morning with our rescue pup. However, having said that , the organization of the walk could have been better. First, the registration desk was not immediately visible , no signage, and one had to go through the "finish" line, and other tents, before one could even find it. Usually registration desks are the first thing you see . Then signage was lacking and one could not figure out where to start walking. We ended up going against the crowd since we had no idea where to actually start. It would be helpful to have more signs, pointing the newbie where to go to begin the walk. So, message is :1) please put the registration desk up front so one can get all the stuff to begin the walk and 2) have more signage as to where to walk! read more

Every year, I say that I'm going to participate in the Wiggle Waggle Walk and it never happens. However, this year, I finally went and I'm glad I did!! For starters, this walk starts early. 8am registration begins and 9am the walk starts. I believe they start this early because it gets really hot later on in the day. Before the walk begun, my beagle and I visited booths and got lots of treats/poop bags. Several local businesses (VCA, Centinela Feed, Yelp, etc) were there to pass out swag and represent. There are two walk routes - 1 mile and 3 mile. We opted for the 3 mile route and walked around the Rose Bowl. Lots of dogs - large and small went on this route. It was really nice how there were volunteers along the route to pass out water bottles to humans and communal water bowls for the dogs. Some areas of the route had shade so that people/dogs could pull over to rest and re-hydrate. Overall, this family friendly event is well organized and my pup had a great time!!! Surprisingly, all the dogs were well behaved. My only suggestion is that they have mile markers around the route so walkers are aware how far we are along the route. Hopefully, I can make this event next year!! read more

Walk for a cause! Our team had raised enough money and had exceeded our total goal. Talk about a dog friendly event. I took my daughter and four legged friend Buster and we had a great time. Upon arriving we were directed to lot K. There was some traffic congestion as folks where trying to park in the lots that were reserved for the event. After finding our parking space and getting to the registration, we really enjoyed meeting all the other variety of dogs along the way. Registration was setup well organized, but there was a little confusion as the pre registration lines where the longest until volunteers let everyone know that preregistration folks could go to any line. And I was a little disappointed that XS shirts ran out, but my daughter didn't care. That's what I get for being late. The walk was nice, a little hot, but there where water stations for people and dogs. The booths were awesome and we played games and got some prizes. We watched the police dog demonstrations and had a s'mores crepe and a Hawaiian ice from the food trucks. I will definitely do it again. read more

My dog AJ and I just got back from the 10th annual Wiggle Walk Walk. It was a gorgeous day in Pasadena and they were tons of dogs. The event is for raising money for the Pasadena Humane Society. "Your donations help feed and care for animals looking for a loving home, rescue animals in need, and provide humane education to enrich the lives of individuals and animals alike. At the same time, you and your furry friends will have some fun! Enjoy a morning walking a 3 or 1 mile loop around the world famous Rose Bowl, and take part in fun activities for pets and people alike." We did the 3 mile loop around the Rose Bowl and had a really fun time. Along the walk, people are cheering you on and handing out water. Great company, well behaved dogs, and a nice workout. Once we finished the walk we checked out the contest, events, and lots of booths. I was able to grab Nutro dog food, greenies, free coffee, and a Wiggle Waggle Walk t-shirt. I wanted to do the Farm Walk, I did the Wiggle Waggle Walk instead this year because Farm Sanctuary did not put on a Farm Walk in SoCal this year. The event itself was set up nicely, lots of volunteers, seemed organized enough. But I was hugely distracted by the fact that all these people are gathering because they are compassionate and they love animals, yet this event is serving up animals to eat, as well as giving away pet treats that contain animal products. It all seemed so hypocritical to me. Farm animals are no different than dogs and cats. I understand this event is designed to support the Humane Society and SPCA, but it just does not make any sense to be promoting eating animals at an event that is designed to promote compassion and awareness about cruelty to animals. In China they regularly eat dogs, the way we eat cows/pigs/chickens. But all of these animals deserve to be treated with respect. Not to mention the health benefits and positive impact on our planet when people choose a plant-based diet. I hope future events will take this into consideration, and spread the message that ALL animals deserve to be treated with respect and not made to suffer. If you love animals, you don't eat them. read more

Great event for a great cause. So many vendors and things to see, so many dog lovers and great people, so many different dogs to look at. It was a great event. The walk around the Rose Bowl felt pretty long and the area we were allowed to walk in was small. I wish they had allowed us to use the whole road. I also wish people cleaned up after their dogs (most do). Other than that, there was plenty of water along the route for you and your dog. And plenty of volunteers cheering you along the way. The Pasadena Humane Society staff and volunteers are friendly and full of energy. There was a lot of parking. This was a great event overall. read more

This event was so awesome! All of the staff and volunteers were super nice, the venue was nice, tons of informative and nice vendors,, all in all a good day and time was had. The only negatives I can think of are 1.) where were all of the trash cans!? thousands of dogs around taking doggy do-dos and no trash cans distributed around?? and 2.) they didn't really have a list of the days schedule (like the police dog demonstration or the doggy model competitions) posted anywhere. Had a great time. We won First Place in the photo contest with the most popular vote. The framed picture was given to me it was my entry photo. They treated me and my disabled dog like royalty. We got assistance when needed by the helpful staff and volunteers. We were escorted back to our vehicle because it was getting hot and I was getting tired from pulling the heavy wagon. The company made it enjoyable and tgey were all so very nice. So many dogs and walkers. What a fun event. read more

They have a one mile or 3 mile option which is nice. We have a senior Maltese so we opted for the mile walk. They have great vendors with lots of free goodies. Very structured but fun event. This was an excellent event that I got to experience with my pup. It was very well organized and it landed on a nice hot day!!! It was truly great to see many people come together to support shelter animals. My only suggestion for next year would be to have the walk start earlier at 8am because by 9am it was very hot. We stopped by with Pickles this morning and had a good time. Saw a few Wheaton Terriers which are tough to come by so he got to meet some relatives. Also hung with some other fun dogs too. It's a worth while cause and event so check it out next year. read more
