My parents recommended I take the car right over to see Rubin. He called within an hour of dropping my car off to give me the details. Turned out to be the vacuum pump. The professionalism was spot on. The next morning he called me at 9am to let me know my car was ALREADY available for pickup. When I picked it up, I know he stayed late into the night and arrived early to get the job done. Maintenance comes at a cost, however, it was MORE THAN fair. And the time - impeccable. Rubin runs a legit auto repair shop that I HIGHLY recommend. He is also a Dolphins fan. FINS UP! Thanks Rubin!

I would leave half a star if I could. Save your money and frustration with these guys and beware of…read moregrumpy Jeff! Ken is polite but Jeff has some serious attitude issues. I went to them to get a radiator and t-stat swapped out along with replace the battery, and I had an issue with the steering. I payed for the diagnostic. Originally they gave me an outrageous quote, I think they tried to price me out the roof just to make me walk. That estimate was close to 7k so I told them I couldn't afford It. I also asked Jeff if they had ever done a rack and pinion before and he said yes once for his son's vehicle. This made me start to lose confidence because that can be dangerous for me if not done correctly. He said he would get back with a price for that but never did. Then they called me a couple months later with an attitude about why I haven't decided to move forward or not with work because the vehicle had been there. I told them I travel for work so I would be willing to pay a storage fee and get the work done in segments. They said "that would be ok", but they still didn't give me a price for the rack and pinion. I was waiting for a price to change rack and pinion like I was promised, instead I get another voicemail of Jeffs attitude saying he's waiting on me to move forward or not. I returned the call and told him that I was waiting to hear back with a price for rack and pinion, apparently he was helping his son for Christmas or whatever excuse he gave me. Even after all that, I said ok we can start with the battery replacement and even though I provided the battery, they still charged me over $300 for labor. It can't take more than 30 min to swap out my cars battery I've done it before without the tools they have. After dealing with the attitude from Jeff and paying that crazy amount for the battery, I went and got a 2nd opinion, the 2nd opinion was way more reasonable and they even gave me an option to get the parts myself and only pay for labor unlike JSN. After I got the 2nd opinion I decided to decline JSNs ridiculous estimate and I still offered to pay for storage since I'm always traveling. I was told by Ken "its fine, I'll let Jeff know" and "it wouldn't be much". Apparently Ken never spoke to Jeff, or Jeff's memory is horrible. I say that because about a month later I get another nasty voicemail from Jeff threatening to tow my vehicle. I returned the phone call and Jeff is obviously frustrated and he said nothing about rack and pinion price and even though I gave him proof of the person I spoke to and the time and Date, he resorted to just saying "I'm tired of looking at the thing" in reference to my vehicle. They dropped the ball multiple times and then treated a paying customer like a nagging child while failing to communicate. After this experience I'm not surprised of the 3 star rating. Ken was great but Jeff needs to cool down or retire if he's not going to learn how to treat people who need his company's services, If this how he treats paying customers, then God bless His Son!

Thinking it was a transmission problem and fearing a new transmission cost, I took it a nationally advertised transmission company. It was 4:30 on a Friday afternoon, the ad stated open till 5:30pm. When I arrived, it was closed tighter than a drum. Another car service center in that same shopping center was kind enough to take a look at it, even though it was closing time. They diagnosed the problem, but were not open on the weekend and recommended Tom Joyce Auto Repair Shop, said that shop was open on Saturday even called and left msg on answering machine. I took the car at 0745 for the opening time of 0800. The one and only mechanic said he had lots of work already scheduled and closed at 1230 on Saturday, but he would try to take a look. I told him my situation, and that I needed to be back to work on Monday, he said he do what he could, I left the car. I feared the worst! He called me back at almost five o clock, told me that it was just a universal joint, which he replaced for what I considered a very reasonable price. I'm sorry I don't remember his name, but this man went well above and beyond his duty to service me and well past closing time, and I would recommend this repair shop to anyone! On Sunday, we made it home on time, 8 hours drive later, and had no more issues. Now that's service! Len Sea, Atlanta, Ga.

My oil was overfilled by an entire quart, forcing me to have the oil change redone during a road trip in Northeast Florida. I also received my well-maintained 2022 VW Jetta back with a dead battery and check engine light. My VW app showed accessories and battery-draining functions had been left on during the 1.5-hour service. I understand the battery may have already been weak and that this may not have been caused by the shop, but the immediate blame placed on me and push to sell me a new battery was unacceptable. When I called several times with reasonable questions, I was met with rude and dismissive responses rather than empathy or accountability. I was also quoted $67 and confirmed three times that an advertised special applied. I later learned parts and labor were excluded, making the oil change around $120. While my final price was fair, customers should be aware that the advertised price can be misleading without the additional costs. Mistakes happen. The bigger issue was how they were handled. As a woman, I was also uncomfortable with conversations I overheard such as ways to add additional services for "her" and sincerely hope I misunderstood their context. This is my second attempt at posting this review. I've attached documentation supporting my experience and hope honest, critical reviews are allowed to remain.
