Our first mistake was thinking that doing laundry was a good idea, our second mistake was thinking that it was a washer/dryer combo. We woke up to a ball of WET clothes. After doing some research online we realized that it was in fact just a washer and that there was no drier, so I hopped on Yelp and found this place. We hopped in an uber with a bag of wet clothes and threw our load in a dryer. (Bring your own coins as someone warned.) Just next door is a cute little cafe where we grabbed a coffee and waited. A few minutes later, VOILA! Dry clothes!

What would have cost roughly 50 pounds through hotel services was 16 through Speedywah. Easy peasy. Fill your hotel laundry bag, mark it for Speedywash, put in 16 pounds, leave at reception by 9. It's returned same day by 5, nicely folded and clean. Worth a call to Speedywash to be sure they pick up at your hotel.

Things to note: ***Before you go, don't forget to BRING YOUR CHANGE*** There is no change machine and the prices are not insignificant (several pounds total for just one load of wash and dry). When I went, the other shops were also closed--and from what I heard, also often don't make change, especially for the amount needed for the machines. Take note of the hours, and it sounds like they will close promptly, so give yourself enough time before closing. Find it about halfway down a corridor of shops. It's all self service, no attendant, just a phone number if assistance is needed. Soap is available for purchase from a dispenser. There are different machine types to choose from, the larger capacity wash machines of course changes more. The machines that I used worked fine, and were relatively quick.

No coin machine. We brought our own soap pods. Soap dispenser does work one coin. 2 benches to sit on for the wait. Bring a book. Others leave and return, but not exact on the clock. So we stayed to be sure to get the last dryer available. Running now. No lights on, kind of dim. Open 8-8 , but last wash to go in before 7. Sign posted. He may lock you out. Big sign. Machines look clean enough, no visible Pet hair. This will work. Another 9 days of clothes and we ll be off..

I went in next day and told that the offer didn't include puffa coats and that they would charge me £12.75 for the one coat. I asked why it wouldn't be £18 given what I was told on the phone but she wasn't interested. She had already rung through the full £18. I said that I wanted a refund but I was there several minutes while she was trying to operate the machine. When I suggested she give me back cash if the machine wasn't working she kept trying to make it was very rude. Non existent customer service. For being so tight fisted she has lost my business when she could have had a loyal customer spending hundreds and hundreds of pounds. I would never go back there again.

The person in the shop offered me no help or suggestions and didn't have any knowledge about how to restore my (expensive!) coat. She also claimed that the company they send their clothes away to are independent and that they "usually" follow requests to cover delicate buttons, etc, but otherwise didn't seem too bothered, and insinuated that ruining the leather trimmings of garments was normal. Unfortunately I have to give at least one star - would not recommend at all.

I clearly told them I did not want it cleaned again. Despite that, they re-cleaned it without my permission, which caused new stains and damaged the corset. The dress was with them for over a month. I lost a buyer because of the delay. When I complained, I was ignored. No apology. No resolution. Just an aggressive email from someone defending their poor service. If your item has any personal or financial value, do not bring it here. They don't take responsibility for damage, don't communicate, and don't care.
