The facility is clean and attractive, however, there have been numerous difficulties since. We have found communication to be a significant problem. There have been numerous leadership staff changes since mom moved in. I hope the new hires improve communication and the efficiency of accomplishing objectives. We have had errors in payment transfers, lack of notification of medical procedures, difficulty getting vital forms completed and sent to the appropriate organizations,failure to respond to mom's medical alert button. The staff are always nice and pleasant but there seems to be little consistency. We feel they are understaffed and have difficulty retaining employees. Good management and leadership are needed as well as improved communication.

Two days later didn't remember it. Major reason we placed her, she could toilet herself, but she could not wipe. we told them numerous times, that she could not go to the toilet by herself. Four of the 5 times we visited, my wife found she had a "mess" in her depends. The 5th time the toilet was backed up. and feces backed up in the shower stall. Contact allowed a camera in her room, with permission. I was told it was not a problem, but when i placed one, it never connected, but disappeared. The manager was arugemative, said it was not allowed and very nasty about it. They have cameras in common areas but we a re not allowed, in her private room? Avoid Bob Miller, at all costs. He asked me to turn and face him. I'm in a WHEELCHAIR. Who says that? Everyone else was very nice, but borderline negligent. Mom fell on day 5, they called said she was "fine". Next day visit, huge bruise on her arm. Day 9, fell again, thats' twice in 4 days. She's "fine". Next day, Easter Sunday we got there at 1pm, she was still in bed, nothing to eat or drink, disoriented, and very weak. We immediately began packing and removing her. Three days alter she still can not walk, and we believe she fractured her coccyx. (My wife and I are retired medical professionals.). Mom lived with us for 15 months, and had one fall. She was there 10 days and had 2 falls in 4 days. We were forced to get her care becasue my health went down hill, vision, wheelchair, ventilator. This ordeal was a disaster, and totally unacceptable, and incredibly stressful, esp for my wife. She had to do all the packing and moving two wheelchairs around, mom and me. They did an extremely poor job of evaluation and care. I would consider any positive reviews. of which there are quite a few out there, suspect.

The grounds are very nicely kept and everyone inside seemed so nice. What a cool place too, they were serving wine and beer...I've never been to a senior home that served alcohol of any kind so they get cool points in my book. When I retire and am old and alone, I'd want to go here. Everyone was so sweet and you're allowed to bring your animals!

We never had to worry whether mom was being taken care of. We knew she was. There were many activities that kept mom busy & we were always included in everything that mom was involved in. We enjoyed meals with her regularly & when mom was no longer able to feed herself, there was always somebody helping her. I remember when we first moved him in I thought the place was like a very nice hotel. They have beautiful common areas like an outdoor fountain and fireplace, a bar, several lounges and dinning areas, a movie theater, and game areas. They do happy hour for the residents where they can have beer or wine and hangout together chatting or singing. We've joined my grandfather for dinner a few times and it was always good, albeit with a lot of the expected soft textures. Snacks and refreshments are always available. They even have cookouts for some holidays and invite the families of residents. They encourage family involvement, my uncle is a certified volunteer and visits all the time and helps with programs. We often take my grandpa out and there's never been any hassle. They continue to provide excellent care for their residents.

Had to stay here for a few days after a head-on collision, and a week-long hospital stay. The OT…read moreand PT people were very nice and provided some helpful tips and procedures for being able to return home and be as independent as possible with your injuries. Some of the people who work here are super cheesy and they are annoying when you are not feeling your best. I was one of the youngest patients here, and some of the CNA's seem to think you might be able to do more than you are supposed to do with your injuries because you "look" healthy and young. The food was ok, and they have a nice service that will enable your family to enjoy lunch or dinner with you for $3.00. My two main complaints are that the entire hospital is extremely warm and uncomfortable, especially when you have to wear a cast or a brace on your torso. This makes it difficult to eat, sleep, rest, or even think. Another serious problem is that when you call for assistance, you may be waiting for 10 minutes to a half hour!! After using the call button, I resorted to calling the hospital on my cell phone from their web page so that I could get some assistance. When you need help to even get to the bathroom, this can be extremely frustrating. While they may be helping someone else who may need more assistance than you at the time, it would be wonderful for there to be several aids available so that patients are not waiting forever for help!
