However I have been more than willing to spend the extra money and share since they're just that good! My younger kids usually get the chicken tender n curly fry meal and my older girls order maple bbq and or teriyaki wings. I keep trying to give this place a chance because I like the food and they have some good specials throughout the week but this is now the second time in a row I have had a bad experience with the employees/owner there. 1st time-Bartender(male) was talking about drugs and someone that he did a "well visit" on that had been murdered and what it looked like inside the home and was describing the dead body to another employee behind the bar in front of customers. 2nd time-Owner called my son and nephews "punk ass kids" because his coin machine was messed up and the alarm kept going off and he thought they were messing with it. We have been wanting to try Wicked Wings since we moved back to the area (we've been gone 8 long years!). And we are so glad we did! Considering the current state of the country, they did an AWESOME job. I called around 4:30, and reserved a pickup time of 6:45. There were quite a few people in line for pickup (so glad to see!) but they were incredibly efficient! A runner came right out and checked in with us. Our food was hot, packed well and delicious once we got home! We got 3 orders of wings (maple bbq, Cajun ranch, mild BBQ) and an order of fried pickles. Everything was hot and traveled very well! I ordered 24 wings ahead of time because I only have a 30 minute lunch break. I paid $42 for the wings and left a $6 tip. Then I asked if we could sit down. The waiter/bartender said okay. So we sit down and someone comes out and says that we can not eat there that we used up 2 to-go containers. I offered $5 for the to-go stuff. I have spent thousands because they have good food for what they sell. The other night i spent 128.00 and pulled a 20 out of my wallet to give to guy getting my order ready. After he looked a receipt he went to two patrons sitting at bar and said can you believe this guy bought over 128.00 in food and didn't tip me. When i went to explain i tip after i get my food showing him the 20 he said you are all set and don't come back. NEVER AGAIN! TL; DR: Wicked Wings will take your money, but won't deliver your sauce. Wicked Wings has repeatedly and consistently failed to include sauces that I've added to orders from them. Sauces cost anywhere from $1.50 to $1.00. Most of the time they fail to send at least one of the sauces. I've called Wicked Wings several times to report missing sauce - their response has been to deflect and ultimately ignore questions about mistakes on sauces, which means they are comfortable charging people for extra sauce without delivering it. I have expressed anger about the streak of mistakes, but have never verbally attacked anyone who has taken my call - in fact I have expressed that I enjoy Wicked Wings's food better than any other wings in the region, and I have repeatedly begged them to correct the mistake. On my second to last order, I was directed to report the loss to Doordash. I was successful in getting a refund there. On my last order, having lost sauce on the previous three orders, I called Wicked Wings to ask them if they had the sauce order correct shortly after my partner called in an order. I spoke courteously, but stated that I was concerned that my sauces would not be delivered correctly. The employee told me that 'things are busy, and I don't have time for this', then hung up on me. For example can I have a dozen wings with 6 of them being this flavor and 6 of them being this flavor . Disappointed. After moving into Essex we have been contemplating trying this place. Tonight on the way home we decided to order wings. We ordered a dozen wings with two flavors, which was charged as two half dozen - first time a wing place has ever charged us like that to split flavors. Absurd. We got hot and smokey garlic. Unfortunately I wouldn't consider getting either again. The garlic is really just butter with no garlic flavor at all. We actually tossed them out. The hot had little flavor and lots of heat.
