Great big place with various sports and games playing on every tv. Friendly staff. Clientele seemed to all enjoying their time in the restaurant/bar. I ordered a cold Stella D'Artois and hubs ordered a sweet iced tea. It was a late lunch and we were seated right away, and drink order taken and delivered right away. I ordered ahi sliders and onion straws as a side. There were a lot of interesting "side" choices but I opted for the onion straws. The ahi tuna was fresh tasting and served on Hawaiian rolls. I have to be honest - I will eat anything on a Hawaiian roll! They're the "candy" of all rolls and I'm not even a big candy person! I will eat Hawaiian rolls like candy, right from the package...instead of a Hershey bar, if given the choice, any day. Hands down. Husband ordered the chicken teriyaki sandwich and the fresh roasted cheesy jalapeño corn. Very good, very different than the usual sides offered at most restaurants. We are here at noon on a Friday. One bartender and one food runner, also may be the cook, for the entire establishment... and it's fairly busy. They are trying but can't keep up. As I type this, two tables have gotten up and left while we have been waiting about 15min for someone to come check on us. We are trying to leave. Food is mediocre at best. read more

The food can be very good or very bland, it's a great room with lots of tv screens, but why is there NO happy hour? The young lady who took our other the day was nice but seemed embarrassed that there was no happy hour prices. My wife ordered a drink and the price she quoted us was .50 more on the bill. Wicked Willies is an easy walk from our place at the Lake, so I almost have to give them a star for being able to stagger home after a football game. We've eaten there three or four times and the results have been kind of mixed. The shrimp and grits were amazing. Burger very good. The only fail that I recall was the Asian chicken and vegetable stir fry. Very heavy sauce. I might be a little spoiled because there is a lot of authentic Chinese in St. Louis and I partake often. but this was definitely a dish I wouldn't order again. The waitress recommended it, but no. Not for me. This is an excellent place to watch a game, though. There are TV's everywhere (tip - the smaller screens over the bar are the best). AND a 6-beer bucket of Ultras is only $17. A very good deal anywhere. Service was very friendly and attentive every time we've been. We'll be back and we'll probably stagger home. read more

A November Monday night on the lake and it was surprisingly difficult to find a place to eat and watch a football game. I had tried a few places to find "Closed on Mondays" signs so I was just about to head across the bridge to a BBQ I had been earlier when I saw the sign for Wicked Willies. Several cars in the lot and several TV's that were big enough to see from the street told me this was safe. Ordered a beer and sat near what seemed to be a 10' x 6' TV for some MNF. Ordered a Cuban sandwich, some Logboat Snapper and could not have been happier with my decision to stop here. Very friendly and attentive service and above average bar food. read more

This is the second visit in a row where it was just bad. To many other places here to waste time and money here. 1. Asked to sit at a specific table, told that is a six top and could not sit there. They had all of 3 tables in use. 2. Asked for sour cream with our nachos. There was an extra charge for this that I was aware of. Did not come out with nachos, said to forget it. Waitress said I was to be charged regardless so brought it out half way thru them. The nachos were a single layer. She was not very attentive. 3. Large plates, but I only got 8 sidewinder fries. Went here late to watch the UFC fights. Not sure they actually pay to stream the fights but rather get it some other way as it kept freezing and they'd have to "re-log in." We were able to enjoy the main fight though. Nice space. Beer menu is average at best. I understand that a late night food menu is limited but the buffalo chicken nachos were sub-par. Chips w a little cheese, a little bit of chicken and celery. What made it a 2 star visit was the number of annoying drunk people present and over half seem to be employees. With so many options at the Lake, we can easily find better service and better food. read more

The food was EXCELLENT!! We ordered the buffalo wings as an appetizer- some of the best wings I've ever had easily! Then for my entree I ordered the Mediterranean chicken wrap. It was pretty good! It was a little dry but I had some ranch on the side so it helped. Their hassleback fries (I think that's what they are called?) were so much fun and DELICIOUS!! My boyfriend ordered the fish sandwich the onion straws which he said both were really good. I give this place five stars. There was only 1 person working the bar and waiting on tables. He was able to take care of us so quickly while maintaining the bar and a few other customers throughout the restaurant. Would definitely come back!!! read more

We visited this establishment for dinner. It was a day the locals all came in, which was fun. After talking to a few of the locals, the recommendation was for the Cuban sandwich. So we ordered those with a side salad and sweet potato fries. YUM! The secret ingredient on the Cuban was the bacon-onion jam. Sooo good ! Everything was fresh and tasty. Went around 7 on a Saturday night, weekend after memorial day weekend. Pretty much dead inside. Service was amazing though, or waitress was very attentive and never had to ask for anything. Decent food, we got nachos as an app. I'd skip those just based on portion. The group I was with said they treated great though. Got the western burger, it was good, nothing special. Tried this place tonight while we were in town. The place was not very busy for a Saturday night at around 8pm. We started with the chicken fajita nachos and they were average , i'd probably try a different appetizer next time. I had the shrimp tacos for dinner and they were good, but it didn't seem like much food because it only came with two tacos and a small side of rice/ beans. Someone in my party had the ribeye and it was delicious , I would order that if we went back. This would be a good place for large groups as it was not overly busy. We were down here drinking, see, and we wanted to watch the Cubs play Cleveland. Well, the Cubs were lackluster but the action at Willies was pretty hot. We ate a bunch of food and drank too many drinks and made a racket. Had a nice time. We recommend the special wings and the Snapper. read more

We went there today after 8 hours on the water. I absolutely loved it. My fiancee and I both, loved the food, the atmosphere, we loved the young man seating us and clearing tables, and our waitress was awesome. The staff worked hard, and quickly together to take excellent care of us. We asked to speak with the manager. We wanted to let him know that he was doing something right, we can't wait to come back to the lake so we can visit Wicked Willie's again. He thanked us and then told us they were 5 people short that day. Well, damn being 5 people short and still exceeding my expectations was mind blowing. Tried WW today for the first time for lunch. Tomato bisque was nice and came with a small grilled cheese sandwich(surprise) Also tried chicken quesadilla, it was fresh and hot. Husband had the P I G cuban, he said it was very good and fresh crispy sweet potato fries. All in all a good meal with good service. I wish they had a lunch menu or specials, tho. $39 seemed a little high for bar food lunch with no liquor. Same menu day & evening . This with a cocktail each would have been $50, a bit pricey for sandwich lunch, I thought. Baxters lunch is more affordable and nicer. They'll need us locals to keep them running in the off season, so hopefully we can see a lunch menu or specials soon. That would keep me coming back. read more

We went specifically to watch our hometown football game and got much more! The food was awesome and the service even better! They accommodated our request to put our game on one of their numerous tvs and the bartender even loaned me her phone charger so I could keep in touch with my son in the Phillipines who was also watching the game! Our teen server didn't know the special so we educated himn upon ordering since we actually read the sign at the hostess station.
