I now have 4 more, on my way to both sleeves, done by the master artist and owner Jason Lee. The dragon is original art - he drew it freehand on me - and fulfills my wish to alert medical personnel "DNR Let Me Go." Jason is not only artistically talented, but also intuitive and I've enjoyed our conversations about politics (though we're on opposite sides) and life philosophy (mostly in agreement). Any tattoo anywhere (except maybe prison) is going to cost you, but Jason's prices are fair, as I suspect all of New Age's costs are. In addition to several tattoo artists, they also do piercings and Andy at the front desk is efficent and pleasant. Jason is in demand so you'll probably have to wait a few weeks to see him, but the other artists are good and may be more open. Call for an appointment as COVID has put an end to walk-ins. After a really chewing on the idea of getting a tattoo, I figured the best time to get one would be when coming home back to Springfield. So I called RET from across the country and let them know of my tight schedule in coming back to Springfield with the full intention of getting a tattoo from them. After some email traffic, Brian (the owner) mentioned he would squeeze me in as long as I could make the time. I drove into Springfield at 1100 and by 1300 we were discussing the design. Very simple ... the hydrogen atom. The hostess was so friendly and Brian was so gracious to take away some of his business management time to make room for me. He was extremely professional, inquisitive, and asked just the right questions to make sure the location, size, and color was my desire. During the tattoo, Brian did well at keeping me calm and engaged during the process as well. Overall, hands down 5 stars... considering 1) they adjusted their schedule to make room for me when they didn't have to, 2) professional attitude and super friendly, and 3) great facilities. If I ever go with a second tattoo, I will wait to go home and get it from them. Thanks Brian and everyone at RET.

I've had the best tattoo experience ever at Outkast. Josh has been a wonder to work with, and he…read morehas done an excellent job giving me the tattoo I've wanted for decades. He drew my design according to my request (and made it better than imagined) and he doesn't drill into the skin like some tattooists in my past experiences elsewhere. The tattoo process was comfortable and, of course, sanitary. He didn't mind talking and joking, or just sitting in silence. My tattoo took 3 different visits which took a few hours each, and every time I started to feel uncomfortable with my pain level, he immediately stopped. The shop is well decorated to keep your eyes busy as you look around; there are TV's playing movies, shows, or anything you request, as well as music to keep your mind off the buzz of the tattoo machine. I fully recommend Outkast, and Josh, to anyone looking to get their first, or their next tattoo. Thank you so much!
