Joanes chose to do a short informational video about our program (the Harlem YMCA Literacy Zone) as…read morea way to give back to the community. As a non-profit community based program, our budgets are always very tight so we rarely can afford to have professional "marketing" materials made about our services, so we were thrilled when Joanes volunteered his skills and expertise. As a filmmaker and videographer, Joanes was very meticulous and professional. He took the time to really get to know our program and the space. On the day of filming, he spent the entire day with our program staff and participants, conducting interviews and capturing our classes in action. Afterwards, he must have spent hours editing the video himself and putting the final product together, and the care he took really shows in the final product! I don't think I can leave a link to the video here -- but you should definitely check out his work!

From seeing the production on the website to getting our production back I am very pleased with the work. Jon, who filmed the event for us was top notch. I coordinated the event from California while the sales reps in the area hosted the event. Jon and I took calls so he could make sure het got everything we needed for this event to be filmed and ensure to ask questions so nothing was missed. The sales reps said Jon made the process very seamless and how he made everyone feel comfortable. From making the process easier being in another state, to making the event successful and capturing all moments, I definitely recommend.

I would give Oriel and his Showreels group the highest recommdation and rating in any category…read more that could be rated. From a professional standpoint, Oriel was ordered and organized, started with the initial consultation/discussion, covered all areas from scene selection, to partners, to how, where, and when the scene should be shot. His communication was continuous throughout and he was totally accessible. From a technical standpoint, I could not have been more impressed. From the moment he arrived on the set, Oriel and his team knew exactly what they wanted to do and went about their business of set up logically and efficiently. As far as directing the scene itself, I was taken aback at Oriel's attention to every detail: from lighting, to shooting angles, to sound -and he had no qualms about shooting the scene, or parts of the scene, as many times as required until he was satisfied with its quality. This is a man who clearly takes pride in his work. Finally, and most important to me, his patience, complete accessibility, and willingness to teach and explain any facet of the production process - even if not directly related to the specific scene we were shooting , was simply wonderful. I enjoyed working with him and his team tremendously, learned a tremendous amount, and look forward to working with Showreels again.

They helped me brainstorm, sat with me through revisions and really made my vision come to life. The best part was that it was affordable! Very honest! Straight to the point!
