My results were in-hand in about 24 hours. Located in Cranberry so it saves me the trip to the Wexford pavilion or West Penn Hospital in the city. Only complaint is the limited hours. But still convenient.

Today I get a text message from a collection agency saying I have a balance that was unpaid and they need to collect it. I am beyond furious as I was never sent an invoice, email, text message, nothing stating I owed anything further after they billed my insurance. They clearly had my phone number to text me prior to services and my address to send the statement to. It is very frustrating.

Despite this, I've been receiving a $2,000 bill every month since. Each time I manage to reach someone in billing, I'm told it's a mistake, and they apologize and assure me it will be resolved. Yet here we are, and now the bill has gone to collections. I've been told multiple times that a supervisor will call me back, but no one is ever available, and no one follows through. It has been incredibly frustrating and nearly impossible to get this resolved. It's unfortunate because the actual staff who administered the mammogram were very professional and friendly.

The CT scan took about 15 minutes total, the tech was very nice. Then came the bill; over $4,000 for the scan with contrast. To put that into perspective that's twice what I paid for an hour long MRI with contrast at another facility. This isn't just higher than average, this is almost double what I would expect to pay for this procedure. FYI if you do a prepayment it's only $500 but I was never told about or offered this option, I only found out about it after I read about it online. After the shock of the bill I called their billing department to ask why it's so high and if there's anyway to reduce the cost since I'll be paying out of pocket to be told that costs are set by the state, which is inherently false. The person on the phone then proceeded to put me on hold for a while before trying to transfer me to their manager for 15 minutes. When the manager didn't pick up, I left a voicemail and was told I would get a call back within 24-48 hours. Four days later and it's still all quiet. So long story short, I'll avoid going to Winchester Imaging in the future so long as their costs are prohibitively expensive. It's worth it to drive the 30 minutes to an hour to get to another facility than pay over twice what you would elsewhere.

When the "technician" came back in the room and said the CT scan was finished, I laughed said that I didn't even know it started. Every CT and MRI I've ever had they tell you when it's starting how long it's gonna be etc., etc. I was still waiting for the scan to begin. What is the point of having a CT technician performing the scans if they're not gonna QC the results to ensure the images they just captured were adequate for a doctor to read? When I worked for an MRI facility years ago, we always checked the images to make sure they were clear and there wasn't movement or business. If something was off, we would repeat the series. I've reached out to my doctor and to Winchester Imaging for next steps because I want and need the scan performed again and better. I will follow up with the resolution here.

I had to go back for a second mammo and than they did a ultrasound on top of that.... why didn't they just do the ultrasound the second time. They don't listen to the women that come in there for mammo and we know our bodies best. Come to find out it was what I told them in the first place. It was the waste of my time and money.
