After a delicious lunch on a rainy Friday afternoon, we made our way here. I remember stopping at their main location and warehouse and being overwhelmed by the size of the place and the selection. After a nice lunch in Waipahu, I searched for the nearest location and was guided here. Walking in, I found this store more shopping friendly and easy to browse through their selection of products. Shortly afterwards, I grabbed a basket and started filling it with mostly gifts for friends at home. I also saw some interesting things that I wanted to try. When visiting the Island, crack seed snacks are always on my shopping list for personal consumption and for friends back home. Though I usually get my crack seed at the L store, a friend suggested we check out Warehouse Unlimited. This location is at the Waiau Center in Aiea. I heard they had a main retail warehouse location and they have been opening express locations, such as this one. So it might not have all the items listed in their catalog they have in the store here. But they had the li hing mango and li sour patch kids which I bought so my friend and nephew can try to see how they liked it compare to the other brand. Cashier was friendly and engaging. We're going to Las Vegas this weekend and have meet up there with my husband's BFF. He got request "Li Hing" from him. At first we looked it in Sam's if they have Sam's size but not. So I suggested my husband to go here but he said they were going to close in ten minutes. (He thought they were going to close couple minutes ahead their close time because it's Sunday. ) I told him "just go!" Luckily, we arrived three minutes to close but there was one customer inside the store, so we made it! They have lots of kinds of crack seeds, and snacks. After a customer left, the gal talked to us what we look for. We already found sweet li hing but they have only small bag, so asked her they have big bag stock or will come soon? She told us because of covid, imported from Taiwan products are less number to compare to before. So we bought some bags from them. She is very nice and having humor, so we enjoyed shopping there. We always stop by this location when we order a takeout from Zippy's Waiau since it's only steps away. This place is a lot smaller than their Mapunapuna and Waipahu store so their supply is low. They seem to run out of items that I want to pick up. This time though, they're out of the only two I wanted. I found out one was discontinued and the other hasn't come in for two months. Mom and I went in October 2022 because she's been craving the Japan Ume seed, with that she bought $60 worth of stuff she missed having... they offered new items, a lot more variety of snacks, so yup she got carried away. I went for their premium mix arare, which I got, but also grabbed a popcorn with furikake, a brand I never heard of and will go back to try the other different flavors, taro or was it called sweet potatoes. Maybe even 2 3/4 stars. Went there, honestly, to check-in and get some free cookies. However, we didn't get free cookies, we got a free COOKIE. As in single, one, uno cookie. And to think my wife was embarrassed at first because she didn't think it was right to go in there, not buy anything, and score something for free. So Asian. Ended up buying Li Hing mango slices and seedless honey cherry. We haven't eaten it yet, so don't know how it tastes. I did eat the cookie, though, and it was stale. Usually, they're magically delicious, so that was kind of a letdown. This shop's pretty small and the items, in my opinion, are pricey. I'd rather go to Baldwin's because you can also whack some shave ice along with the snacks. Wifey pointed out that here, though, they have cookies. We'll give them props for that. I know in the past, the corn flake cookies were rather addictive. Corn Flake cookie crack!! Service was good. No probs getting the free cookie. The quality of the dried sea food snacks, arare, and crack seed is excellent. With many of the products that were invented and traditional Japanese still so. Likewise crackseed from Taiwan (rather than the mainland) and even the traditional Hawaii invented crack seeds are here, like old style shredded mango, rock salt plump, etc. You get the feeling the products are sanitary and manufactured to the highest standards by manufacturers that expect the retailers to be back for more. Don't believe their delivery times or expect customer service. I placed my order Thursday before 3 p.m and per their website, my local delivery should have been on Friday. I sent an email on Saturday to see if it would be delivered by Monday and received no response. On Monday, I called and spoke to Ronnie who said nope your order isn't going out till Wednesday, sorry. What the heck, if their delivery is delayed they should be able to slap that info on their website. There was no way to expedite it, just sorry. Great, now I really have to do last minute shopping.
