My 4 year old son who was transitioned from Help Me Grow into a public preschool has been attending…read morespeech and occupational therapies at Specialized Speech Technology to help with his development. We really like this clinic compared to others we've been to in the past. The location is very accessible and there's a big waiting room enough for adults to sit and relax while waiting for their child/children. We have been to different clinics where waiting room is either way too small or too congested with kids toys laying around the floor. Specialized Speech instead provides 2 massage chairs besides a stationary touch screen busy board for the siblings who wait in the waiting room. I think it's a very thoughtful and simple ways of providing convenience for both kids/siblings and parents without crowding the waiting room with a bunch of toys that could be hazardous sometimes. Classes are clean, well equipped and the staff are excellent! Jenni is very prompt and accommodating when it comes to scheduling and the therapists really work hard to cater to your kids needs'. My son has been showing great progress and we will continue to spread the good words about this place. Thank you SST!

The office of Florence Lenahan reflects the country girl she is and country doctor she once was…read more The decorating scheme is cow themed with black and white curtains and a collection of ceramic cows. The operatories are cluttered with books and pictures of the many animals Dr. Lenahan has owned. Dr. Lenahan is an older woman who carries her love of cows to her wardrobe. I have never been at this practice and not seen her wearing anything without an animal on it. She is very direct and not very chatty. This is probably because her office is one of the few that accepts caresource so her lobby is always crowded. The office itself is open only Wednesdays and Saturdays. So scheduling can be difficult. The receptionists seem busy and overwhelmed, but they will get you in. Sometimes the amount of people can make your wait time a little long but the waiting room is stocked with magazines and easy listening. Dr. Lenahan is no nonsense and that is what keeps me coming back. Her nurses are kind and funny and they offset her gruff manner. The practice is not very high tech but the personal contact more than makes up for it.

She will tell you what she knows that you ask and need to know about, and tell you why she thinks that way. I have been pleased with the referrals, and have been with those specialists in some cases for years. The previous reviewer forgot to mention the Dobermans and the llama farm, but they only add to the point made. The Dobermans (or Dobermen or women) can be heard in the back room.
