Ever present. Doing the dirty work that makes our great city keep on keepin' on. So, hats off to you, Portland Expo. Thanks for being a really excellent polling place. And for being a great spot for our high schools to play and graduate. We appreciate the Red Claws and the Maine Roller Derby. Sometimes you get boxing or beer festivals, comic or mom and baby expos, home shows or car shows; that's pretty badass how you cater to just about every demographic. And Snoop Dogg? Remember that? Whoa. The point is, in the words of Billy Joel: don't go changing to try and please me; you never let me down before." Everything's changing these days, technology is making things speed up at an insane rate, and everyone's trying to top everyone else. But you do you. It's worked for over a century, and - while your parking can be annoying and your bathrooms not always the cleanest - we're always going to need a place like yours to do the normal things, the every day things, the nitty gritty things.

We sat by the bull pen area in the outfield- comfy seats great view for about $35ish and a bbq buffet. The bbq was...not great. From service where there was only 1 line to get food, to the line being directly in front of the grill and the smoke was billowing onto everyone getting food. Hot dogs, burgers pulled chicken were the options. Pulled chicken was too sauced and just not pleasant. The hot dog was fine. The sides- Cole slaw and pasta salad in tiny containers- as were the individual condiments- extremely not environmentally friendly with the single use ketchup, mustard and relish packets all over- why would they do this? The best part was it came with a Seabiscuit. They didn't announce about the fountain drinks we had to keep our cups- so by 12pm there were no cups for drinks to be had- nor were we aware while the BBQ/food and drinks end we wouldn't have access to water after 1pm. It's kind of wild- yes the price is incredibly affordable- but the game goes on for 2.5 more hours after the food shut off- why?

Seats Thousand Oaks of people and anywhere you sit is a great view of the stage. They have attendants helping and security machine you'll walk through. They don't like people crowding the front and pathways so make sure you move fast. They have student shops on the sides as well and it's pretty easy to navigate overall.

Plus they sell drinks, snacks--your average stuff at a venue. We found parking about a 10 minute walk away and it was street parking so we didn't have to pay after a certain time which was nice. It was cold outside so walking was a little annoying but better than paying a huge price for parking. Overall great experience at this venue I would come back!

I will say that the experience is still very worth attending. The staff is very friendly and the ownership group keeps the building well staffed. The bathrooms are clean - cleaner than large stadiums! And the entertainment typically speaks for itself.
