My daughter had her ears pierced at Claris just 3 days ago and paid over $120 for their tiny…read morestarter earrings. Within just 2 days, one of the gemstones fell out. For earrings at that price, this level of quality is unacceptable.
What made the experience even worse was the customer service from Amie. Her attitude was absolutely disgusting and completely unprofessional. When my daughter returned for help removing the broken earring, she was initially left to struggle with it herself. The earring had been closed so tightly that it was very difficult to remove. Amie eventually offered to help after my daughter was unsuccessful, but her extremely long, sharp nails made the situation even more concerning.
To make matters worse, Amie placed a replacement earring directly on the counter, apparently expecting it to be used in a freshly pierced ear. This raised serious concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. Jewelry intended for a fresh piercing should be handled appropriately, not placed on a potentially dirty counter.
We paid over $120 expecting decent-quality jewelry and professional aftercare. Instead, a gemstone fell out within two days, we encountered an awful attitude, and the handling of the replacement earring left us questioning their hygiene practices.
My advice: Do not waste your money on Claris's expensive starter earrings. In our experience, they were absolutely not worth the price.
A business offering ear-piercing services should provide quality products, respectful customer service, and proper hygiene practices. Unfortunately, our experience with Claris--and especially Amie's attitude--fell far short of those expectations. I would not recommend it!
