Like many people, I don't usually enjoy bringing my car in for service--but 625 Auto Repair made it…read morea truly pleasant experience. From start to finish, I felt comfortable, informed, and confident in the recommendations they provided. I came in needing my inspection done and also wanted to get some "mystery noises" checked out. My car has a lot of miles, and I wasn't sure if it made sense to put more money into it or trade it in. The team at 625 was great right from the start. I was given a loaner car immediately, and after they checked everything over, they sent me an electronic file with all the recommended repairs--clearly itemized with costs broken out. When I spoke with Casey, the owner, he took the time to go over everything with me. I explained my situation--deciding between keeping the car or trading it in--and his honesty really stood out. He told me that if I planned to trade it in, there was no need to spend money beyond the inspection since, with high mileage, the dealer would likely just auction it off anyway. That advice wasn't in his best business interest, but it was absolutely the right thing to say, and it meant a lot. If I decided to keep the car, he had the repairs prioritized so I could take care of the most important items first and handle the rest over time. I decided to keep it, and the repairs they completed were done quickly and done right. The noises were gone, and what had been a rough, bumpy ride was suddenly smooth again. I'll be continuing down the list of recommended repairs in the coming months, but I can already say this was one of the best auto repair experiences I've ever had. 625 Auto Repair is honest, professional, and truly customer-focused. Highly recommend!

During an oil change and tire rotation, they called and told me a stud was over-tightened. I pointed out that I've only ever had work done at their shop; logically, it would have been one of their own mechanics. They immediately denied any responsibility, claiming it couldn't have been them. Rather than argue, I accepted their explanation at face value, and paid my bill in full and respectfully let them know that I'd no longer be bringing my business there. They left a typed letter and $20 in cash under the invoice on my front seat; not as a sincere gesture, but as a passive-aggressive parting shot. The letter reiterated that they didn't think it was their fault and criticized me for bringing my own oil and filter (something they had never brought up as an issue before). It was unprofessional, unnecessary, and left a bad impression. Ironically, their education of bringing my own oil made me realize it's better to support local shops by letting them supply parts too; something I would've been happy to do for them had they addressed it professionally. This shop had all the opportunity to maintain a long-term customer relationship, but instead chose defensiveness and condescension. I can't recommend West Penn to anyone looking for professional, honest service.

After getting my wheels rotated during one specific visit, I was experiencing a thumping/rattling noise when turning my wheels. Come to find out, one of the front wheels was extremely loose, turns out lug nuts were not tightened. After this mishap, I decided to bring my vehicle to a different mechanic when experiencing issues with the engine. Upon further inspection, the vehicle actually had two other major underlying structural issues including a completely rotted frame. I was told that if I were to drive over train tracks too fast, the vehicle would completely slide off the frame. I wish I could say West Penn was vigilant enough to discover this issue months earlier considering their friendly staff and low prices. I will not be returning.

After our most recent visit, we decided it was time to take our business elsewhere. The issue wasn't that she was unable to provide the service we needed--we understand that not every notary can handle every situation. After three similar experiences spanning many years, it's clear this wasn't just an isolated bad day. Perhaps this business has enough customers that losing a few doesn't matter, but treating people with basic courtesy should still matter. We won't be returning.

Brent who…read moreowns the place is a very genuine guy who just likes helping people and getting them back on the road. My car broke down (transmission failure) on a road trip, and I pulled off into Leb-Myer's lot on a Sunday night. I stayed at a nearby hotel, and went there first thing in the morning. They started taking a look at it and gave me a ride back to my hotel. They even drove me to go get lunch. Once they figured out the problem, they worked hard on it and got it done much faster then expected. Even though they close at 5:00, Brent (the fantastic owner) stayed until 6:30 to finish up the repairs so I could get back on the road one day sooner and avoid having to stay in town for another night. They kept in touch about their progress and never made any big decisions without asking me what I thought first and offering to set me up with a local transmission specialist in case I wanted a second opinion. In the end, the bill was quite reasonable and much lower than I expected. I couldn't have broken down in front of a better mechanic! I just wished I lived closer so I could come here regularly. I would strongly consider buying a car from them in the future.
