This morning, Waterfront sent me an email telling me the cruise was "cancelled." They also claimed to have tried contacting me via email and phone. Both claims from Waterfront are lies. I checked Waterfront's own website after receiving the email and the cruise I booked was sold out. I then called to inquire and was told they scheduled an event, so I was essentially kicked off and completely disregarded. I've attached pictures as proof. If you're considering booking a cruise around Lake George, I strongly suggest you book with a company who has ethics, standards and class.

We went out on the Adirondack and the boat was large enough for all the patrons on board but by far it seemed that the best seats on board were on the upper level. The lower levels were challenging to see the fireworks because most of the windows didn't open and the best option for seeing was to go outside to the staircase. Even there the roof overhead made for difficult viewing. There are other options in the area for viewing fireworks by boat and we would most likely try a different boat- either with this company or another in the same area. All of the staff were friendly and made getting on and off rather easy.

We stayed here two nights at the beginning of August (2019) and couldn't have had a better experience. The new owners took over just two months prior, so they are busy doing upgrades to the camp office and store and around the campground. The upgrades being made did not impact the quality of camp sites or other facilities. Additionally, the personal attention provided by Will and his father made us feel like regulars. Will's father greeted me by name every time he saw me and would stop what he was doing to chat. We stayed at one of the full hookup sites during this visit. There are less than 50 total sites in the campground and only a hand-full had full hookups. Most did have water and electric. The sites are VERY Level, good sized, close, but spacious enough to have an enjoyable stay without being on top of each other. The cottages and motel looked nice from the outside. There is a nice sized and landscaped swimming pool, game room, and large community fire pit to enjoy. The location of the campground is ideal. Only two miles south of Lake George and a few miles north of the Outlet Mall. Another amenity is the paved bike path that goes along the back of the campground and runs between Lake George and Glen Falls. This was a great amenity and can help avoid all the traffic at Lake George by riding bikes into town. Overall this was a great place to stay to explore the area. Being smaller in size meant less traffic and noise, but didn't mean less enjoyment. The campground and buildings were well maintained and conveyed a welcoming atmosphere. The one area where Whippoorwill is lacking is the camp store/office, but this is the area they are currently updating so I expect great things in the future. We look forward to returning in the future.

Bathrooms are cleaned frequently. Each campsite has 1 picnic table and 1 fire ring. Generators are allowed during designated times. Took 1 star off because the spots were tight. Our spot was advertised for a 40-foot rig but our 32-footer snuggly fit in the spot.

The jacuzzi was open and just what the dr ordered. We ate out a few times, but the kitchen was fully furnished to make a nice dinner last night . our unit 13 has a lovely main bedroom with a jacuzzi on-suite. With 2nd bedroom on the same level. The 2nd floor had great views from the living room and a fireplace that opened to the dining room. with a 3 rd bedroom in a loft (a very cool room for kids ) easy parking . since the fireworks were right down the road, we walked down to the doc and could watch without having to drive the views are spectacular. Close to everything. We will be back

I assume no part of the $20 charge would go to housekeeping. Perhaps Im wrong. Hotel food is rarely good and this one was no exception. I would especially warn travelers not to eat at the Lookout Bar and Grill. This "restaurant" is owned by the hotel and is terrible.. We ordered a Gyro and was served over cook shaved roast beef like a Philly Steak sandwich from a food truck. They had not coffee and we were told they have not had coffee for a long time and the waiter was confused why it was still listed on the menu. The hotel is pretty but the $20 upcharge was a turn off.
