I can't see how someone thinks this would be an acceptable job. My jacket is now ruined! I've added photos. I plan to find another place to see what they can do to help make it better, but sadly there's no going back from the mess of a repair. When I walked in I noted all the different colour threads, which I thought great , they'd be able to match the brown. Why on earth would you mend it with pink thread, when the jacket is brown and dusty red!?! I like using local small businesses, this time it really bit me in the ass.

Mom is gone now, but we still drive out from Kitsilano to Westpark, taking a pile of things at the end of the season, like our linen summer clothes, or out sweaters at the end of the winter. Really a 4.5 star rating…read more I had an unfortunate string of accidents recently involving soy sauce, curry, and work clothes. Despite smelling like an Asian food court, I didn't have time to hightail it to my favourite dry cleaner by Oakridge. It was not a good week. Thankfully, Quality Dry Cleaners is located a block away from where I work. Open 9:00-6:00 every day, they were able to remove all evidence of my sauce mishaps for the rock-bottom prices of $6.50/skirt and $6.00/pants. Quality also does alterations, with 1-2 seamstresses working right at the front. From what I could tell, the alteration services extend well beyond the standard pants hemming as they were busy altering a Chinese cheongsam dress when I arrived. For the prices alone I would have normally given them the full 5-star treatment, but felt that I needed to knock down half a star because it took them 3 days to get everything done (dropped off on Monday, ready by Thursday). There's no doubt I'll come back though as long as I'm in the neighbourhood.

This logo tag was very important to the male wearer of the cap. Firstly: the service took longer than 2 weeks. Excuse was back logged because of vacation by the sewer. Secondly: the elastic that was sewn on without providing any stretch, the very reason for replacing the elastic, therefore the cap did not fit the head and was loose as before with the old elastic. Thirdly: the important logo tag was lost!
