We had Mike and his crew remove 28 trees from our backyard. Mike is one of the nicest and most professional people I have had the pleasure of working with. His rates were extremely reasonable and his crew were personable, conscientious and thorough. They were here over 3 days and went above and beyond to make our yard look not only beautiful but as if they and their equipment were never here. They are honest and trustworthy as they come! outstanding service! Very reasonably priced and efficient! They left the yard and driveway cleaner than it was when they started...this was the second time our family has hired them for tree removal. Thank you! read more

Mike and his team did an amazing job taking down several 150ft fir trees and a giant (100+ foot) silver maple out of our back yard. This was a large job- some companies that came out to give me quotes didn't want to tackle the maple due to the vicinity of our house and a septic drain field that was right under the tree. Mike and his crew were here on time everyday. They went above and beyond cleaning all the debris out of our backyard. I would definitely use White River Tree Service again, or recommend them to anyone who needs tree trimming or removal. read more

Cleaned my yard of all the tiny limbs and looked better than when they started. They are polite, Honest, knowledgeable . Mike talked with me through the whole process. The cost was much less than I thought it would be. I hope to use his services in the future and telling my friends about him. Great Guy!!! Thanks again I appreciate all the hard work. read more

Found You Connor or I guess it's Mike now! This guy "Mike" is also known as Connor Michael Hancock, formerly owner of Big Timber Tree Service. We hired him to do an extensive tree removal of over 30 trees. He did not complete the contract and left trees spewed around the lot, not cutting them down to fireplace size rounds as he did at the start and was contracted to do. We called him and he always had some reason why he couldn't come until he finally just stopped answering! Now that I have found this guy, you can look for the complaint on the BBB and also see that he has done this in the past, which is typically why they open under a new name! He will sell you a song and dance but good luck on getting him to follow through or complete the job. His reviews look good now, as they did for, but mark my words, he will start the same things again until he has to open up under yet a new DBA! Next phase....legal! #Caveat EmptorN read more

Mike and his crew an exceptional tree service. They are also respectful. I found White River by watching them remove some 200' + trees from my neighbors yard. They do whatever it takes to remove damaged or dead trees whether it involves hiring a crane or climbing to an incredible height. Mike trimmed 3 extremely large, extremely overgrown, damaged evergreens, that were invading my specimen Japanese maples and dogwood. Mike patiently listened while I specified each limb that I wanted removed, or cut back. He carefully removed each one, a section at a time so as not to harm my trees or surrounding landscape. His crew removed all of the branches and ground them up. The area was then cleaned. Very impressive. read more

Amazingly honest! We have a very large & very old weeping silver birch in our back yard. I love this tree! Recently we're told it's very old so should look into if it's going to become an issue anytime soon. He was surprised I'd want to cut it down. I really didn't but since I know nothing about its care, I had to look into it. I gave him ample opportunity to pad a cost. He explained how trees shed, it's natural. All branches were healthy. I was a bit giddy. I asked if we could hire him to prune it & again he said we didn't need it. He said he'd be taking our $ for nothing. The big cedar next to it, he explained how we could thin it out in a few areas. All things he told us we can do ourselves & not waste $. We talked about it possibly getting rid of a evil holy tree in front yard. He explained what he'd do but also explained how we could do it ourselves. I felt like I was begging to find work for him to earn $ for at least the trip to our place. No. He explained how he'd rather be honest with everyone & not rip us off for unnecessary work. Here's the deal. He did not do one lick of work besides driving here & educating me. He took time with me and that's what sold me on this company. My hubs had asked another company to come out to look at it & they had said they wanted to cut it down for $4k. Yikes! No mention of it being healthy or how to nurture it. Their scheduling & communication was very responsive. So, even tho he didn't have to do any work for us, when we do need it. I now know who to contact. Thank you for your time, honesty & integrity. read more

I highly recommend Mike and White River Tree Service. They took down a large 135 ft fir tree on our property. We already had another tree service come out and take down another tree. They climbed this one, limbed most of it but didn't take it down because they were worried about how close it was to power lines, the neighbors house and our fence. Mike and his team dropped it exactly where we wanted it to land, chipped the branches, etc and were done in just a couple hours. Very professional and do what they say they are going to do. Thank you. read more

Mike and the White River crew were great. Their quote was very reasonable compared to other companies, and their work was thorough and cleaned up nicely. Mike was great about answering questions. I will definitely call them for future tree needs. read more

Mike and his crew were awesome! Mike visited me, same day, and provided an estimate to remove and trim several trees more than the competitor. His price was half the price of his competitor. The "day of" they arrived on time, removed/trimmed the trees, cleared a pile of brush (that was not included in his bid), and then cleaned up afterwards. In addition, I echo everyone comments about Mike being refreshingly honest. I will definitely use them in the future as I have a rather large lot with lots of trees. Thanks again to Mike and his crew! It's refreshing to know that there are companies out there with their level of integrity and work ethic. read more

These guys are awesome! Mike came out and gave me a quote same day and was out the following day to take down our tree. They are fast, family friendly and local. We will definitely be calling them for any tree needs in the future. Could not be happier with the results. read more

My neighbor used Mike twice, and both times his quote was significantly lower than 5 other estimates. Last year, he showed up during a terrible freezing winter storm on short notice to cut tree limbs at risk of crashing into the house. This time we and our neighbor had 4 trees significantly trimmed to cut off dying branches or turned into wildlife habitat snags. His quotes are very reasonable compared to 6 other estimates, and most importantly, he and his crew are conscientious, do a great job of avoiding damaging structures and plants, and surprisingly neatly piled the branches and cut up and piled huge logs for us to use for our fireplace. He is thorough in planning and discussing the process ahead of time, and we paid him exactly what he quoted. It's so nice to be able to work with a trustworthy owner-operated small business! I have already passed his name on to our other neighbors. read more
