He explained he was moving his studio and was unavailable, but asked me to email him after the expiration date so he could schedule time. I replied and thanked him for agreeing to go beyond the expiration date. I sent the email to schedule a time, as requested, and did not receive a response. I followed up again ten days later and did not receive a response. He is completely unprofessional but is happy to take someone's money and never take the photos, based on my experience, or provide photos, based on another review I've read. We booked our first appointment for Cathedral Park and got all dressed and ready (which is tricky with a 4 year old), only to find out he forgot about our appointment and had other plans! So unprofessional! So we booked our second appointment, again at Cathedral Park, this time he called about an hour before and tried to cancel because it was threatening to sprinkle and he was "out of the rain gear for his camera." We weren't about to go through the routine of getting ready for the third time, so we wound up driving to his apartments and taking pics in the courtyard. Definitely not ideal. He spent maybe 15 minutes with us and said we would see the pics the following day. 2 days later and still no pics, apparently he dropped his camera off to get the sensor cleaned and forgot to take the memory card out. Feeling frustrated at this point he assured me he would get the camera back later that day. 3 days go by and still no pics, so I contacted him again and he apologized but said that his memory card had been wiped, and all our pics were gone! Completely frustrated by his utter lack of professionalism, I asked for our money back and he had the nerve to tell me that because he let us use the gift certificate 2 and a half months after the expiration date that he wouldn't refund us!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO RECEIVE ANY PICTURES!! SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS AT LEAST A MODICUM OF PROFESSIONALISM AND EVEN A HINT OF RESPONSIBILITY!

I adore these photos, but as his third birthday approached, my heart was searching for something different. He's not a "sit and smile" kinda boy. He's wild and colorful.. a rainbow that injects creativity into my life. His personality is hard to put into words, but I can SEE it, and I wanted someone to capture *that*. Kelly was the photographer who captured his rainbow blur. Before she arrived, she already had a vision in her head.. a couple of times, I heard her talking through the ideas she had thoughtfully written down. I'm curious as to when those ideas entered her mind.. I dunno! But that's the beauty.. she's clearly inspired by her own lens and life, and she injects that perspective into her fine art photo sessions. She has a plan and a vision, and you just know you're in the hand of an artist. During the session, my son would not sit still. But that's ok, there wasn't any pressure for him to do so. I felt beautiful throughout, even as my body jumped back and forth from strength to defeat as Bruno ran wild.. and despite the intermittent chaos, Kelly took the time to gently guide me into random patches of light that looked simply ethereal in the final edits. Without knowing it, she captured a photo that contained a photo of my late father in the background.. so he was there, and perhaps he was in the light, too? I dunno, but the photos represent more than a happy morning with my son.. they encompass our dance and our blurs and the push-and-pull of our hearts and bodies moving together. They are art. Always an honor to have Kelly and her cameras into our home, and I would recommend her for anyone wanting photos that will live for centuries in albums and prints.. photos that will be traced by the hands of your kids and grandkids.. photos that will help us better understand love and light. Thank you, Kelly!

He was able to communicate efficiently between every pose and was friendly and patient so I never felt awkward or embarrassed. Trust me, I am a very awkward individual and Ken was able to capture photos of me that ranged from elegant, to high fashion, to fairy tale cuteness - a challenging feat! Whether you're a seasoned model or have never been in front of a camera, Ken can bring out the best sides of you. In the past, I've worked with photographers who instructed their clients to do very generic poses meant to go with certain backgrounds. This is not the case with Ken. The day of the shoot I brought a variety of outfits with me and as he helped me sift through them, he had a vision for every one. After a few shots, he quickly determined what props would go well with the photo or minor tweaks/improvisations to improve the overall shot. It was clear to me that Ken made every effort to ensure the pictures were tailored to me specifically. I loved every shot. :) Special shout out to Yoyo the make up artist for fixing/updating my hair and make up between outfit changes. Generously, Briana included an engagement shoot with the package as well as complimentary gifts and prints before and even after the wedding. And despite being based in Portland, she made the roughly 3 hour trip up to Seattle for our engagement shoot and wedding. Throughout the process, we were constantly impressed by her professionalism and responsiveness. At the start, Briana clearly outlined a roadmap for the months and days leading up to the wedding. We couldn't be happier with how the photos turned out and would highly recommend Briana for any engagement shoot and wedding photography needs!
