DO NOT GET A TATTOO FROM THIS PLACE! YOU WILL REGRET IT! Horrible business ownership, management and customer service. I decided to get a tattoo after a miscarriage in memorial to my lost child. Before getting the tattoo with Alicia Marie, I was told I may need to come back to touch it up because the color might not show up on my skin tone. When I went to schedule the touch up I was told by Alicia Marie that she did not work on Monday's or Thursday's which was strange when we originally had the tattoo done on a Thursday. As I only have Mondays and Thursdays off from work I asked if there was someone else at the studio that could finish the tattoo. Instead of recommending someone else, Alicia said she wanted to finish the tattoo and would try accommodate me on one of those days. Months went by and I could not get an appointment with Alicia. Finally, I asked if she could please recommend someone else again so I could finish the tattoo and move on. I also said I would pay to finish it. It was then that I was told I was crossing a boundary by saying I was not happy with the tattoo that I had been living with for months and for asking for someone else to complete the tattoo. I tried calling the studio to get an appointment with someone else and was hung up on before answering multiple times. I had no choice but to drive to the studio and was met by the owner Matt who was unprofessional and continued to justify the way the touch up scheduling was handled by his employee and was extremely disrespectful and rude. He continued to say that my tattoo was "unimportant because it was not a full sleeve tattoo" and she didn't have to do anything for me since it was a "one off tattoo." It's clear the staff do not deliver on completing their work nor does the owner care if customers tattoos are finished or if they are happy with their tattoo. After all the nastiness I experienced from the staff and owner I would not go back to this place to complete it. It's disgusting to me that they react so poorly to a paying customer trying to finish a tattoo on their body. It is clear they take no pride in their work and leave their customers unhappy with an unfinished permanent tattoo. read more

Got my first ever tattoo done by Gabriella Mancini and I could not have been happier with my experience. I really loved her work on Instagram and she designed me the tattoo of my dreams. I was so happy with my experience that I booked another appointment and brought a friend for matching tattoos! Start to finish the process was super easy. I got my most recent tattoo at White Oak Tattoo And I was very pleased with the entire experience. I was happy I was able to book my appointment with Gillian via Email and make my deposit through PayPal. It made it so much easier for me since my work schedule isn't ideal. From the second I walked in the door everyone was friendly and welcoming, which was great being a brand new customer to this shop. The "signing in" process (if that's what you call it" was super easy and efficient through the iPad. First impression of the shop was that it was beautiful, clean, and bright. I was very happy with the atmosphere, which is important to me since i was going to be spending hours upon hours in there. From start to finish Gillian was an AWESOME tattoo artist. She made me feel comfortable and at ease the entire time. The tattoo itself turned out AMAZING as well. The artist I saw at this location (who no longer works there) was amazing, but the shop doesn't live up to its potential. First of all, it's a revolving door of artist. All seem much happier after they leave and I can understand why! The man working the counter was referring to Gia's past co workers from Ink Masters as c**ts. I use that word myself, so I wasn't offended, but it was just unnecessary to hear all the trash talking. I was there to get a tattoo, not be engulfed by drama. Gia Rose is absolutely unprofessional. I had a tattoo booked for OVER A YEAR and BOOKED A FLIGHT from Missouri to come see her. Then literally less then 48 hrs before the appointment her assistant contacts me that she "needs more time for my design :(" I had confirmed the appointment date TWICE beforehand, and had made it clear I would be traveling from saint louis. The original tattoo was booked in saint Louis! When I re-explained the situation, I didn't even get so much as an apology, and was treated very rudely. Even if I were from PA, its ridiculous to assume I can just take off work and come in a different day then was scheduled on such short notice. She clearly has a HUGE ego and literally doesn't even care about her clients. Don't waste your time or money like I did. if I could leave 0 stars I would. Had a consultation 5 weeks ago with Zach at White Oak and agreed on a day in May, concept, size, etc. He told me to text him and he would firm up a date for a session. I Texted the same day as my consultation and did not hear back. Waited a week and emailed (same email they setup original meeting with) and did not hear back. Waited another week and tried to text. Waited another week and tried to email. Completely unprofessionally ghosted and wasted about a month of my time. Like other reviews stated here and on google (which I should have taken seriously) you should take your money to somewhere who cares about clients. read more

A friend of mine had me meet her at White Oak to get tattoos. I live in northeast Philadelphia so it was a hike but boy was it worth it. I've been getting tattoos at different shops across the country for the last 16 years and this is one of the most beautiful shops I've ever been in. The staff is all so kind and wonderful. All the artists are talented in a variety of styles so there will be someone there to do whatever style a customer could want. 10/10 I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a high quality piece of work. I had work done by Jess Baker. She was a doll and she worked so fast, but her line work, shading and color was perfect. So glad I went and will be going back again for more work from Jess! read more

I'd like to tell you I actually got my tattoo from Gia Rose. I can't do that. My wife put a deposit for a session with Gia in February of this year as a gift for our 20th wedding anniversary. I was very excited as we followed Gia from the time she was on ink masters through Ink masters Angels. I was re-scheduled three times over a period of seven months. Her booking assistant asked me what days work. When she finally gave me a date I took it, even though it was on a day that I said I couldn't do. I took a personal day from work so I could finally get my tattoo done. At 9:45 PM, the night before my tattoo session, Gia's booking assistant texted me that she couldn't make the appointment and could I reschedule for December 23rd. At this point I asked for a refund of my deposit. No call back , no text, no response until 7am the next day which was simply a notice of refund. This has been the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. There are plenty of amazing tattoo artists that will treat you with respect. This is not one of them. read more

Gia rose and white oak tattoo do not have appropriate customer service. Was looking forward to this and saved up for many months. Met Gia and she barely said hello, angus was more professional. When she did talk it was only to brag about her famous tattooer friends. Spent a ton of money on a big piece which needs a huge amount of touch ups. Emailed them a month later and didn't respond back for two weeks. Angus explained he would follow up which some dates and I never heard back for an appointment. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! read more

I also started a tattoo with an artist (Gia) before they joined White Oak, wonder if it was the same one as Alexis P. Paid a hefty day rate for multiple visits, but scheduling was consistently a nightmare. No replies to multiple emails, texts, and calls for days. Constantly rescheduling and canceling appointments. It felt very disrespectful and super unprofessional - while charging rates that merit professional attention as well as skills. Kept going because the work itself was undeniably beautiful. But then, the piece was almost finished but (coincidentally) after offering to do the last 2 hours "for free" (after I'd paid thousands of dollars in day rates), the artist utterly ghosted on me after canceling (or 'forgetting the date') of this last appointment by text as I was walking to the train to go there. No replies to any communications, no follow-up and me with an unfinished 3/4 sleeve. Eventually I had to go to someone else to get it finished (and pay again). Maybe if you can get your work all done in one go, it's worth it but the whole experience was unpleasant and I'm still shocked at the unprofessionalism and lack of respect for my my time and money. read more
