No Thank You This is usually the dry cleaner that I use but not anymore. I went to pickup my dry cleaned clothes and the lady at the counter (not the Korean lady owner who usually was there before) didn't bother to thank me after I paid. She didn't say much of anything during the encounter other than asking for my phone number to identify my order. Since it's difficult to determine the difference between how dry cleaners do the cleaning, I use customer service and price to determine who to patronize. This place is currently sub-par in the customer service category so I'll be going elsewhere from now. How difficult is it to say "thank you" to the customer and wish them well? I started going to this dry cleaner a few months ago because our local one was no longer reliable as they were sending our laundry out to a plant. When I went to drop off my drapes and two rugs the woman who was helping me was extremely cold and not friendly. When I picked up my items (I spent $170 total), one rug was visibly not clean so I asked them to clean it again. When I got home I realized my other rug still had stains on it, which is very disappointing. When I went to pick up my other rug there was still a stain. I wouldn't recommend going here. read more

ALERT Avoid this place at all cause. They will ruin your stuff and rip you off your hard earn money. Will take zero responsibility for what they've done. I should've known from the beginning with the Filipino lady in the front with the worst attitude and bad customer service. After dropping off my boots I got a bad feeling and went on to their yelp account to see their reviews. It was a little too late I had already dropped off my boots and had to wait 2 weeks to pick them up. After picking them up I inspected my boots and notice they had a chemical stains and they felt pretty rough not soft. I asked them why they felt that way and about the stains. The lady in the front could care less she said I don't know. She didn't ever make an effort to ask in till I said "well can you ask why they feel this way and why do they have these stains?" she called a woman from the back and she didn't know either. Like wtf really!!!! Then a Chinese woman came up front from the back which I'm assuming is the owner. She also said they didn't stain my boots and brought out a really hard brush and tried to brush off the stain and what she did made it worst. She actually peeled the suede off the boots. I asked for my money back and she refused. She offered to keep them for another 2 weeks and TRY to clean them again. How do you clean a chemical stain or restore the suede??? So I said no I wanted my money because they had ruined my boots and the only thing she was going to do was finish ruining them. My brother offered to try and clean them for me and what we actually found is that my boots were not even clean. Don't waste your money here. Where they don't care about your belongings or your business. I'm surprised they are still in business with a thieve owner and poker face cashier. read more

I have been coming here for about 2.5 years and it's awesome. First of all, when you have two kids in the backseat, the last thing you want to do is go to the dry cleaners. Which makes this drive-through place awesome. I mean, you still have to get out, but you can park right in front and zip in and out. The women who work there are sweet and friendly. One of them knows my name, which is just so nice, because I only come in about once a month. We have lived many different places, and in the past my husband has complained about shirts coming back with too much starch in them or with other weird things going on, but I haven't heard one complaint in 2.5 years. One star for being local and another star for not screwing up my clothes. I'm new to the area and needed a bunch of clothes dry cleaned asap. I came here because it was walking distance and had good reviews. As soon as I walked in, I knew I was not coming back here. There's a huge boombox on the upper left corner that blasts loud music directly into your ear and it almost seems like you have to yell to hear. Assuming the person at the front was the owner, she did welcome me or even smile. I was friendly and polite and didn't give off any bad vibes (at least I don't think I did) and just felt very unwelcomed. After leaving, I did not have a good feeling about how my clothes would turn out. I brought basically my entire closet on a Monday and the expected pick up was Thursday. I was hoping to get it back sooner, but had a hard time getting a hold of someone. I called at least 5 times, all different times of the day until someone finally picked up. She told me to call back the next morning because her employees were gone for the day. I ended up being able to pick up my clothes a day earlier so kudos to that. BUT as I walked in, again no smile no hello, nothing. She is the face of the store and if she's like that to every customer that comes in, no one will want to go back. Also, I found a 10% off coupon on yelp if the bill is less than $100 when you check in. She didn't seem to even know that there was a coupon for her cleaners. When I showed it to her, she told me she wouldn't give it to me without writing a review for the place right then and there AND needed to show it to her as proof. She said it in a tone that sounded like I was crazy for wanting a discount without doing something in return for her. I was doing her a favor by just going there and spending almost $100 on dry cleaning! I felt disrespected and angry. I forgot to add how ridiculous their prices are. $6.50 per shirt?! My family has very happily been using White Oak Cleaners for many years. I frequently bring in my dress shirts for laundering and pressing. White Oaks does a fabulous job on them. Every shirt has come out well and I've never had a single article of clothing lost. When a shirt button breaks (which I expect from any cleaner), White Oak replaces it without any debate or complaint as soon as I point it out. I also use White Oak Cleaners for alternations, particularly to fix the length of new pants that I buy when they are sold only in waist and not length sizes. I have always been highly satisfied with the alternations that White Oaks has done for me. Finally, I have had my dress jackets and a few suits dry cleaned here, and my wife and daughters have had dresses dry cleaned by White Oak Cleaners. We always leave happy with the results! The worst customer service I ever had. I had a rug with nail polish on it. I was aware of the fact that it might not come off. Therefore, I asked the lady for a price estimate. She confirmed 70-75 USD. They told me to pick it up by Monday, I showed up on Monday morning it was not delivered yet. When I came back on Tuesday, I examined the rug together with the lady. The nail polish did not come off. When I wanted to check out she asked for 135 USD!!!!! I would have never dropped it off for this amount of money and I think this is the worst experience I ever had. We have been using white oaks for about 5 years now after having a bad experience at Blue & White, and we have been very happy with the service (dry cleaning, laundry, stain removal, tailoring). The only downside is that hemming is more expensive than other places in San Carlos but they do a good job & are done when they say they will be done, so we can live with it. Charged me $26 to clean and press 4 dress shirts. Claim was that my husband's shirts were too small for their press machine so they had to be done by hand, so she charged me for labor. They have my phone number; no phone call was made to me to notify of this circumstance. I've also never heard of such a thing, and I've taken his shirts to other cleaners in the past. They've done a good job cleaning my clothing and my down comforters, and shortening my cloth shower curtains (who the heck has shower rods 7 feet above the ground?). They're really convenient and I like that they have a couple of parking spots of their own, because street parking can get a bit tight in the area. read more

This past weekend I was a member of wedding party. Our entire group needed last minute alterations to our suits. We brought our suits into White Oak Cleaners hours before the wedding. Fearing the worst I expected them to tell us that it was too late and that they would not be able to make the proper alterations with just a couple hours left prior to the wedding. Instead Kay, the owner of the shop could not be more helpful. Within a couple hours our suits were altered, and pressed. Long story short we all looked like studs and the wedding was a total success.
