Small Cutesy little Village…read more We came on a whim around noon and walked around shoppes. I liked them, but they weren't very unique. Ate at Fred and Ethel's Lantern Light Tavern. The wait for 2 people was 45mins around 2pm, but as we finished eating around 330pm the restaurant was getting emptier. Food was average. There isn't much for kids to do. Just a carousel, s'mores, train ride ($4 per person for a 5min ride) and the talking tree. You can do everything in under an hour and everything is more fun after dark of course. I was very excited for the "light show," which was extremely underwhelming. There was maybe 20ish little trees made of lights, spread out around the lake area and they were flashing synced with songs. Seriously... that is it... Lake was dried out so maybe that took away from the experience ? Doubt it. My partner and I had a great time, but it is not somewhere I would like to visit more then once.

There is even a Bed & Breakfast, if you would like to spend the night. You could dedicate a lot of time and rack up a lot of numbers on your pedometer, here, but it'll be worth every step you take. Have fun exploring the stores, the amazing fragrances, the restaurants, and/or sweets that you'll experience and.......happy shopping.

Although Route 30 is fairly close, it's quiet and chill. Great location for anything close to the shore. We were going to a concert in Atlantic City, and this was perfect, a 15-minute drive. We stayed in the Railroad Room in the Carriage House. Really nice, cozy, welcoming space. When we arrived it was 40 degrees and raining and there was a chill in the room, but let me tell you, the heat is absolutely kicking and warmed up the room really well. Bathroom is great, huge shower and tub area. The tub is a double-soaking tub, but just be aware it's not so big that you can both sprawl out; you'll be sitting side-by-side with your legs crossed. But, plenty of hot water, really nice. The only minor quibble is that the wireless was a little spotty. There are multiple networks available and if you try all of them you can probably find one that does OK. All of the hosts were kind, welcoming, and super helpful, but I want to give special praise to Lori. My girlfriend has allergies and dietary restrictions and Lori took time to engage with us, understand what was needed, and provided a lovely safe delicious breakfast. Such a wonderful thing to not have to worry about the meals.

THE GOOD ----------------…read more+ Probably the best hotel in Absecon, hands down! + The entire hotel was renovated a few years ago and still looks relatively new. + Very, very clean and spacious rooms. Bathroom was huge with a large shower. + Extremely well-put together complimentary hot breakfast (6 - 9:30 AM daily) in the morning with veggie omelets, sausages, bacon, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, cereals, muffins, bagels, breads, pancake maker, oatmeal, HOT cinnamon buns, juices, sealed bottled milks, yogurts. + Breakfast dining area is spacious and has plenty of tables, but can get pretty busy in the mornings. + Decent size pool on the 1st floor. + Small gym on the 1st floor. + Large private parking lot. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Not much! Our overall stay was excellent! RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = The hotel consist of 2 towers connected via a walkway on the 1st floor with the pool and gym located along the walkway.

From reception, pantry, coffee, gym, pool, even guest laundry (coin machines that WORK!).....to the rooms cleanliness and layout/vibe, location of ice machines. And the included full breakfast is always amazing, of course. Side doors are key-accessible 24/7 and very close to the parking spaces, which I really appreciate on dark late nights! They have just thought of it ALL! My 2nd stay here, and I will ALWAYS choose this property over anywhere else in the AC area! That includes the high end Casino hotels where almost NONE of these amenities are included. 10-15 minute easy drive to the Casinos. Convenient to many retail options (convenience stores, food, etc.)

We had a wedding to go to in Atlantic City and decided to turn it into a nice long weekend but…read moredidn't want to be in AC. I stay at Wyndham properties a good amount so was drawn in by the charming exterior and typical peaceful surroundings that golf courses usually provide. Overall the hotel was quiet and cozy but you can tell the building has a lot of age to it inside even after the renovation a few years ago.--especially around the trim in the room and the public spaces. The caulking in the bathroom was gross and you could tell the bathroom renovation job was not holding up the best. The bed and linens were clean and comfy but the chair and couch has definitely seen better days. Light grey fabric really showed the dark stains. The A/C worked great, the Wi-Fi (while unsecured) was solid, and I appreciated that the TV had casting capability. Amenities like the fitness center, indoor pool, and the game room with 2 pool tables, poker table, and table tennis were fun activities on site. The outdoor pool was still closed for the season, but that's understandable. We also got 2 bottles of water each day. That said, a few things didn't quite hit the mark--especially for the price point. The self-parking setup is awful. While it is free it is set off from the building and walking to it involves crossing the active golf cart path. And let's just say... some people should not be driving golf carts. It's pretty clear the layout strongly encourages valet use. I feel snobby for status dropping but I need to mention that I have Wyndham Diamond and this is the first time I felt brand loyalty seemed pointless. I understand upgrades and perks that are advertised with status are based on property availability but I basically got nothing. This was the first time I couldn't even get the free late checkout 12PM check out (11AM standard) on a Monday but I could pay ~$50 for it. Didn't even get a welcome gift thats usually a small snack or something which is an appreciated small perk after traveling. All in all, the property and exterior of the hotel is well maintained and charming, and the amenities, while nothing spectacular, were nice parts of the stay. For how much it costs to stay here (Wyndham status or not) it was incredibly underwhelming, oddly inflexible.

Now the golf course itself has a great layout, pretty forgiving fairways but what they don't tell you about are the deer flies and there are tons of them especially when you get back by the more swampy areas and they bite. it just feels like a mosquito bite and the good news is you don't have the itchy bump like a mosquito but they are annoying as hell and there is no warning about them. They don't tell you about it either when you show up so you can't prepare for it but. The only other negative is it rained, and the rain knocked out the television signal. I thought this was 2025 not 1980. I would recommend this place but spray with tons of off...
