The person who checked us in had a very noticeable and foul body odor. He forgot to give my wife her drivers license back and creeped us both out. We were greeted by QVC, a musty odor and lukewarm dampness as we entered room. The bathroom floor was slippery as it seemed the room had just been cleaned. Their were small dead bugs in the sheets and stains on the comforter. I took a 10 minute shower and was filling the jacuzzi tub at the same time. We had an online reservation online for a king-size bed room. We asked if it was a king at check in. He said he didn't know. Really? We asked if he can see our reservation and he said he will check later. Are you kidding me? We left to hit the casinos without checking the room, arrived later in the night around midnight and found it was a double. We called the front office with no answer. So I went to take a shower. Disgusting. Run down. Even for a cheap motel, this is unacceptable. If I could give negative stars I would. Dirty towels, chipped paint, stale moldy smelling air in the rooms, stains all over the bathroom. I almost slept in my car. Avoid this place. Even if it is cheap, pay a little more and stay somewhere else. In all my travels this is the nastiest place ever. See my surprise when I reached for the towel to find those stains. I posted pictures. It's like someone washed their car with one and used another as a diaper. Apparently they changed their name from White Manor Inn. Check out that review. Either the other reviews were faked, or they lucked out. UPDATE: midnight. I went to the front desk. I showed him the towels and asked for clean ones. He goes on a rant saying he doesn't have new towels. I reiterated that I asked for CLEAN ones. He throws clean towels on the desk rudely and says take it and go. Saying he will give me a refund when I check out because I booked a king size room. I got so upset I walked out and yelled DISGUSTING! This guy runs out his office screaming DISGUSTING? COME HERE! I went to pack all my stuff and pulled up to the office again demanding my refund now. He refused. I told him to call the owner. He calls and says the website I booked with needs to call and confirm the refund. I didn't leave till it was confirmed by the website. I asked for the slip he wrote my credit card information on. He refused saying it was for incidentals. I told him to go upstairs with me and inspect the room so I can get my credit card number back. He refused to go upstairs with me to inspect the room saying "he knows I didn't do anything". So I cancelled that card. Avoid the nightmare I did and go to other motels. I ended up driving back to ny and cutting my trip short. I just got home at 3am. Fantastic. read more

I have stayed at this facility six or seven times over the last four years. Every time I have been impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. When in the Atlantic City, Egg Harbor, Galloway or Absecon area, I'm always traveling on business. Our company does work for the FAA. So we are usually working with the people at the William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) in Egg Harbor Township, right at the Atlantic City Airport (ACY). The Relax Inn is reasonably close to our customer and our Egg Harbor office. On the weekend, Atlantic City is straight down White Horse Pike. There is easy access to Garden State Parkway. There is a big Wawa gas and grocery three blocks away. There is a nice semi-rural residential area behind the Relax Inn for evening leisure walks (or fitness runs). The hotel is owned and run by a family. The rooms are clean. There is a mini fridge, microwave and big TV in every room. Some rooms have Jacuzzi (or maybe hot tube), but again the owners keep everything very clean. As a business traveler I insist upon having reliable fast wifi access. The Relax Inn provides FREE WIFI. The speed is super fast and never throttles. There is a FREE quick grab-and-go breakfast offered in the lobby. Parking is easy and feels safe at night. The AC in the rooms works well and if you want fresh air (which I like in the winter months), the windows open. Having spent something like a cumulative 40 or 50 nights over four years I think I have a pretty reasonable sample set. And for my money, every time I'm in the Atlantic City area I try to stay here. 5-stars! read more

BEWARE! Roadside Thieves! I booked this room through VRBO/Homeaway from Tuesday 8/29 departing Saturday 9/2. My intent was to spend some time alone writing, then to have my husband join me on Friday when he was done work so we could celebrate our anniversary. The VRBO site said pets were welcome so I brought my little dog to keep me company. When I arrived I was told that there was a $ 50.00 fee for the dog to stay for the 4 nights I had booked. I did not want to pay the extra fee so I dropped my stuff in the room and drove the dog back home (I live about 40 minutes from the place). That evening, my 18 year old daughter had to go to the hospital, so I did not stay at the hotel that night or the next night. I returned Thursday morning and contacted the man at the front desk who had checked me in to let him know I had a different car. He proceeded to complain that "my dog" barked all night long and disturbed the other guests. When I explained that I took the dog home he proceeded to argue (he spoke very poor English), saying that he would have to charge me more for the dog because he was barking and that was "not acceptable." I tried again to explain that the dog was not there, and that I shouldn't be charged at all, and that I hadn't even been there because my daughter was in the hospital, but he was extremely rude and refused to listen. The last straw was when he told me that if my husband came, he would charge an additional money for a second car (there was plenty of parking, since nobody was staying at this place), plus an additional $ 15.00 for him to visit, plus another $ 35.00 if he stayed overnight! The room I booked was for two adults and had a King size bed, so this made no sense to me! I packed my things and left, never even having spent a night. The next day, on my credit card, I had the full charge for the four nights in the room, plus an additional charge of $ 57.00 for the dog! I am reporting this place to the BBB and anyone else I can think of--there are tons of other hotels in the area, but this place would rather rip off their potential guests than compete in an honest fashion with good faith and fair dealing! read more

Disgusting. The room was gross and I couldn't even stay there. I ended up leaving at 12am to try and find another hotel. I am posting photos to show everyone the state of these rooms. My partner and I even paid double the price to have the hot tub! It didn't even work! And there was filthy black dirt all over it! I even left this place to talk to the manager at the other hotel they own (the rest inn) and he offered us a room at this hotel. We checked the room and it was even worse than the relax inn. I couldn't believe it. I am not one to complain about cheap hotels but even for this price, don't do it. Room 201 is super great - if you visit with a large group, request this room. They have a room inside a room total of 3 king/queen size beds. They conserve energy by requesting the guests to unplug everything while exiting the room. I booked my two rooms for $86 per night - cheaper than other choices available - We only got an upgrade because the two rooms we got were the only ones left. Well, the rooms were surprisingly cleaner than I expected. But their complimentary breakfast was just a little better than nothing - plain bread and bagel, no PB or J (they said they never have it - not just that day), single serve butter, watered down coffee, and hardened single pack honey. Pleasant night stay - it's alright.... worth the price. and oh yeah, free wifi! read more

This place was just fine. We needed an affordable, clean place to stay for one night. It was that for sure. We did get a room with the jetted tub--I will say that this was a nice treat after our long drive that day. I hesitate to call this a bed & breakfast. It's a motel. We were worried the breakfast would be inadequate. It actually was pretty good with lots of choices. They don't have a dining area so you collect your food by the front dest and bring it back to the room. We would stay again knowing it's clean and has decent food offerings. read more

Came for AC Rooms look nice. They have microwave, fridge, clean and cozy. Bed is very comfortable and they have about 9 pillows on it for pillow lovers. Book online, they double the rates if you call. About a 20 minute drive to Atlantic City which is the only real drawback. Great value for around $30 and if you are driving. I wouldn't pay much more than that as there are other similar options in that price range that are closer. Definitely will come again read more

My family of four (two young boys 8 and 11 years old) stayed at the Relax Inn last July. It was a wonderful hotel run by what seemed to be a family. They were such down-to-earth people and they were very accommodating. When we arrived, they told us that they gave us the suite, because we had the kids and they thought we would need more room. And, they didn't charge us extra. As a matter of fact, it was much, much more reasonable than the hotels that were located right in Wildwood and/or right in Atlantic City. It was a beautiful room above the office and very roomy and comfortable with a fridge and a microwave a separate bedroom, newly renovated bathroom and very roomy sitting area. They also had a light breakfast and coffee in the morning in the office and the owners were very friendly. The hotel is basically situated between Atlantic City and Wildwood, New Jersey. It is a little closer to Atlantic City, if I remember correctly, however, it was conveniently located for visiting both places. The rates were very reasonable and it was conveniently located close to restaurants and stores. It was clean, roomy and offered very friendly service. I would recommend this hotel. read more

Stay Away. The worst place i have ever stayed. the room was fly infested, the beds were worn out and saggy, both the sink and shower drains ran slow, the night table and dresser were both broken. the TV remote did not work correctly. There was one chair for the small table to eat or work at instead of two. If you enjoy suck and have a low standard as to what you should have then stay here. I left after the first night and did not even eat the free breakfast. the fly's in the room made me go on a quick diet. I spent the first hour trying to kill the pests flying around the room. Knowing hotel was rated very poorly I decided to give it a chance. Big mistake. When first checking in I was given a room that was already occupied. When finally given a room, I had no proper toiletries. I only stood one night so I wasn't giving it much more thought than to kindly ask for what I needed. Come next morning for checkout, clerk came to knock on door once then barge his way in. I could've easily been naked. After barging in he asks for $20 for an additional hour of stay. I was actually worried when I first booked this place because I saw their photos and it looked like they had a bath tub in the middle of the room. Well, it's more of a hot tub than a tub and it's quite relaxing to sit in after a long day at Atlantic City. Don't worry, the room comes with a separate bathroom so you're not expected to take a bath in the middle of the room. I love how the room is spacious, relatively new (only 1.5 years old, according to the owners), and they provide a simple breakfast in the morning. The best of all, it's really close to Atlantic City so you can save some cash not having to stay at a hotel in Atlantic City. The room that I stayed in, however, was not equipped with a hair dryer or an iron. In addition, some of the windows didn't close all the way it didn't matter much as we felt safe staying at this inn. The best of all, the price CANNOT be beat! I counted only 14 rooms at this inn so it was quiet and felt really cozy when I was there. Would I stay there again? Certainly!!! July 12th 2021 myself and two of my females cousins(one is pregnant) want to Atlantic City. I booked and paid for a room through Expedia for $208.28 at like 9 pm and about time we got to the room it was about 3am. The man at the front desk charged me $14.75 and gave us a key to a room. As I open the door to the room there were people sleep in the bed, (thank God they was sleep because we could of been dead or anything) we want back down to the front desk to the man and told him he gave us a key with people in it. The next time he want with us and open the door to another set of people in a room sleeping again by this we had enough. So I asked to speak to the manager, which the man at the front desk said he wasn't coming until 7 to 8 am. We then left and want back to the car with our belongings where my pregnant cousin had to lay down in my back seat to rest, myself and other female cousin set in the front seat trying to get a little rest. I called Expedia about my refund and I talked to the manager about my refund, which they said I was able to receive since the man at the front desk messed up. I thought I was going to receive my money back but it never came, I had death in my family so I wasn't paying it any mind. When I realized I never received anything I called Expedia again and they said they had nothing to do with it so I called back the Relax inn. the man at the front desk said the manager wouldn't be in until 9 tp 10 am. I kept calling back but nothing or did I receive a call back. Now I have a lawyer for my money back, pain & suffering. I would never recommend for anyone to stay there. read more

I was absolutely appalled by my experience at the Relax Inn. I stayed there in a room booked by my workplace, as I was on a business trip, and stayed in the same room as two of my coworkers. When I arrived in the room, it had not been cleaned, so I stopped by the office to ask if the towels could be exchanged and the trash could be emptied, at least, while I was out getting dinner. The manager said, "No. I clean when you check out." Mind you, I was the THIRD person in this room in five days. There was already a three-day build-up of dirty towels and garbage in the room. I asked if I could at least have some clean towels, as I was staying for few days, and he shoved a single towel into my arms. The same manager also refused to hold a room key for our business partners at the desk. Because we were working two hours away from home, our paths never crossed and we thought we could just leave a key for our coworker there. On coworker spent half an hour arguing with him about it and as she finally stormed out, he called, "It's better this way, dear!" We ended up having to hide the room key behind a tree in the parking lot for one another, like we were kids at summer camp. My final night staying there, I heard someone trying to get into my room in the early evening. I looked out of the peephole and saw a couple with their luggage trying to unlock my door (I had three locks done, so it was fairly impossible.) He tried to give my room away to someone else. My manager gave me the choice to stay over another night and work in the town for one more day. The terrible manager played a huge part in my decision to return to Philadelphia. The room (aside from the detritus) was beautiful, and very close to one of our business locations next week; if the stay hadn't been so awful, they would have certainly had a huge occupation from our company very soon. We had tickets to a show in AC, we expected to return to NYC right afterwards, but a few days before decided it might be best to book a room. Since this was a Saturday night everything else was booked, and we went with this place. If you can help it, do not stay here. I have driven across America, twice, stayed in so many hotels, this place was my worst hotel experience by far. Most places would gladly give you clean towels and pillowcases, since you're, you know, paying for the stay. The man at the front desk became highly offended and actually YELLED at my BF when he requested towels and pillowcases free from strains and other peoples hairs. I can see from the reviews that other people have had the SAME experience we had. The man actually told us to stay at the *insert other hotel name here* if we wanted CLEAN towels and pillowcases. Who runs an establishment and speaks to paying customers this way? Had there been other available hotels I would have gladly packed up my bags and went elsewhere. The place is rundown and dingy looking, there was 1 measly light-bulb placed above the bathroom mirror when there were 4 available sockets. They are just skrimping to give you the bare minimum. Seriously. Don't stay here. Go on Living Social and find a great rate for a good hotel and live like a king. And always book your room in advance. I stayed here one night prior to heading to Myrtle beach with my fiancé. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. We requested a room with a hot tub. It had a run around it. The manager was just going to wipe it out. No bleach or anything to sanitize they said they do not use bleach. There were blood stains on the pillow cases. The toilet over flowed. He wanted us to stay in that room. After requesting another room which he said he had, he changed his mind and said he did not have any rooms. This place is a dump: my skin felt like it was going to crawl! Do not waste your time or money. I will not ever return. This is definitely a one star hotel! I had booking at Relax inn for King size bed for 2 nights. It was late to check-in due to traffic in NYC. I reached there at 2AM. 1. Behavior:When I went to reception, owner asked me "Do you know whats check in time"? I said sorry and Checkin may be around 3pm. How many years u have been in USA?, I told him x number of years. Owner said "You are baby". "Did you reserved any hotel in past and what was the check in time?" Hotel owner's questions was so arrogant and humiliating. Then he threw the paper, pen on table to fill it up. At that time I asked him some questions, I reminded him that I am your customer and how you are behaving with your customer? Then Owner replied, "I do not lost my temper that is my style. May be you are in sleep due to that you are taking it personally." In my past experience with all the hotels it was the insulting experience and nightmare for me. On that night I was scared. 2. Bed: When I checked in the room it was queen size bed room. If I booked and paid for King size bed room how can they assigned me for queen bed? 3. Room condition: Next day I called them but they do not picked up the phone. I was trying to use Internet connection, he gave me 4-5 access points. nothing worked out. During check out at reception counter another guy told me that there internet is not working. you can use nearby hotels internet connection. If internet is not working why owner lied to me that they do have internet connection and told me it is working. After checkout I went to nearby Roadway-Inn and accessed the internet for maps 4. When I put a tag on door for Maid to clean up they ignored it. TV cable was joke, only 1 channel was available. 5. Bathroom was not in good shape: water was not draining from bath tub. No toilet tissue holder. Bulbs were open without any safety cover. Pros: Bed was comfortable, Room were clean, Breakfast at morning, Parking is ok. Cons: "Horrible, Insulting" Customer service. Arrogant Hotel owner. Bathroom not clean. No internet/cable. No maid service. For me room condition, TV cable and Internet connection is not a big deal. Every hotel and has plus and minuses. I will start by saying that the actual condition of our room was fine. For the price, it was clean and well kept. Some water damage to the ceiling and tacky decor, but totally acceptable. The manager, however, was one of the rudest individuals I have ever interacted with. I'm a young blonde woman and was treated as though I was dumb. When first greeting me, he did not say hello, but simply, "Reservation number, credit card" When I asked to use the credit card on file (I was there on a business trip and didn't want to use my personal credit card for incidentals) he refused and acted like it was a bizarre request. He condescendingly asked me if I spoke English when I did not understand why he wouldn't do this. The next day I asked to leave a key at the front desk for a coworker, as I would not see her before she would need to get into the room (the reservation was for two), he flat out refused, saying that no one would be here and it was not his responsibility to give her a key, but mine. I explained repeatedly that I would not see her, but he continued to talk over me and not listen. Finally I took the key and began walking away, exasperated, and he rudely said, "It's better this way, dear," as though I was a petulant child. The coworker of mine asked for a clean towel and he argued with her, not wanting to give it to her. Eventually he gave her one towel, flat out refusing to clean the room until after she checked out. Looking at the other positive reviews, I was really looking forward to staying here. But I'm noticing the positive reviews all were from single men, families, and couples, not young women. If you want to be treated with respect, spend a little more, stay somewhere else. read more

We stayed here because this hotel had such good reviews. We got a room that had the bathroom sink outside of the bathroom. Not a big deal. It started off very bad because the internet and the cable tv did not work but was fixed by the end of the first nite. This was just kind of annoying after driving for 9 hours. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was very nice. After a few days we noticed there was a few ants on our bed. Had a small breakfast in the hotel lobby. Very good location, seemed very safe and only minutes from Atlantic City. Our room was very loud with people moving tables or making noise all night long above us. Dont expect much for the price of this hotel but was decent for a week stay. When we checked out, staff was asking for good reviews on the review websites. You don't pay a lot so don't expect a lot. The owner is a nice guy from India I suspect. Standards of cleanliness are a bit low and I wish I traveled with my own sheets and bed spread. BUT,... like I sad...you don't pay a lot. TV was good but I couldn't get on the internet. I REQUESTED A NON SMOKING ROOM and CONFIRMED ON CHECK-IN THAT IT WAS IN FACT A N ON SMOKING ROOM and the owner assured me it was. WELLLLLLL... it was only a non smoking room when it was vacant because it reaked of old stale smoke like one would imagine from the old days. That was my biggest gripe. Breakfast provided was fine. Sparse but good enough given the very cheap price. Had it been more expensive they would have received fewer stars. If it was actually a non smoking room I would have given it more stars. The room smelled of cigarettes. The toilet did not work unless you turned the water off then back on after each flush. The shower drained slow so you took a shower in a bath. All the linen was stained and disgusting. The lamp shade was burnt all over because it was broken off the hedge. The covers were stained. The pillows were molded and stained. The pillowcases were bleached. We had to dry off with toilet paper. The linen was outside ON THE GROUND in front of the hotel. The sockets were covered in clear plastic tape which is a hazard. We made sure to stay out until the early morning hours to lesson the amount of time spent in the hotel. The morning of checkout, the gentleman who appeared to be the owner was folding the linen OUTSIDE where it was touching the ground. We drove off to leave and the linen that we saw laying OUTSIDE on the ground the day we checked in was apparently on top of an old microwave and a raggedy box. This by far was the WORST hotel experience ever. I have never felt so dirty and uncomfortable. This establishment should be condemned. It is under no conditions to be operating. My friend was bit on the arm immediately upon entrance to the room. The refrigerator smelled sour and old. I was thoroughly disappointed as it looks NOTHING like the photos presented online. NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES AT ALL. I would NEVER EVER recommend anyone to stay here EVER. It's awful that I had to pay for such horrific conditions. I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. read more
