We camped in tents, a pop-up tent camper, a truck camper, a travel trailer, and lastly, in their cabins. Bottom line, it didn't matter where we slept. We always came back to this same campground. They are in a perfect location in the Adirondack Mountains and in walking distance to the town of Old Forge and Enchanted Forest Water Safari & Amusement Park. There's a nice pond for swimming, fishing, and non motorized boating. There's beautiful hiking trails & plenty of wildlife. Yes, including bear, which we saw on most of our trips there. Please don't feed them! They'll normally not bother you if you leave them alone. Feed the chipmunks instead. This is honestly one of my favorite places I've ever visited, filled with many special family adventures and memories. I shouldn't have to click some link randomly texted to me. Or call the phone number 4 times before I get a live person Apparently it is an airbnb because I got no housekeeping service. Now I'm wondering why I got charged a resort fee when this is not a resort. They advertise all these great TV channels but I can't even find MNF. No microwave. That's like a basic thing. I've got a mini fridge though. And apparently they never heard of ADA compliance. Why sure I'll hobble my ass up a flight of stairs with a 50lb suitcase. No dresser. Guess I'll live out of my suitcase this week. Can't find the thermostat. I have half a mind to call the property manager up. But it's 0100 and I'm feeling generous. The only place to put my laptop has no outlets available nearby. I've had to run the cord halfway across the room to connect to a 4-outlet adapter that is glued to a nightstand for some reason. So that the nightstand with a table lamp sits in the middle of the room also.

We checked in virtually and took a walk around the place and went into the "Lean In" intending to get dinner and a drink. The waitress rudely proceeded to say that we were not welcome and didn't belong at the table, that it was saved for other people who had been waiting. There were several open tables, no hostess check-ins or reserved table signs so we had no idea of whatever system she was referring to. She proceeded to complain to who looked like the manager of the place. Totally gave off vibes that we were not welcome here even though we were booked into the Honeymoon cabin, and not an outsider just coming here for a bite. The waitress could learn some manners and be nicer to customers. The manager should take a crash course in a customer service class. Even though we are here for two more days, we're sticking to our plan, but I don't think we are coming back after the poor start to our experience here.

We stayed at the Eagle's Nest Lodge and rented 2 snowmobiles for our family a few days in December…read more John was very responsive to our questions leading up to and during our stay. The Eagle's Nest was a good size for the family. Housekeeping was a bit lacking when we arrived. I wiped down the interior window sills of dead flies and spider webs, and had to shake off the sofa covers of crumbs. The kitchen was stocked with the basics we needed to prepare some meals at the lodge. The dining room table is so nice for meal and game time. The bathroom/shower all satisfactory. The 2nd floor is the bunk area with single and double sized bunks to choose from. We liked sharing the open space. The living room is spacious and comfortable with a large tv with direct TV service. It was very nice to be able to rent our snowmobiles and have access to trails right out our front door. There are miles and miles of scenic trails in and around the surrounding communities. We will definitely be return customers.

This is challenging because of the small size and limited sites. I try at least six months in advance for a water site. The water sites are hard to get. I will stay at any of them they are all wonderful. The lake is very refreshing and the beach is fun. There is a huge rock in the middle of the lake that my family takes pictures at. It is quit a wonderful view. I love coming here to camp. All the campers are always friendly and polite. I have talked with many and they all think this campground is a hidden gem.

All of the trails were open, great conditions and a beautiful day. I loved the bar area, it was a great place to hang out and enjoy the warmth! The lodge is very clean and neat with tons of storage for your bags. The food is delicious, I had the best donut and a really yummy breakfast sandwich! While it's not the most difficult skiing I've ever done, I definitely enjoyed the views from the top! Can't wait to visit again!

Good live entertainment!! With a great beer selection. Overall great experience would definitely recommend for anybody who is learning. Will be back next year to try the bigger lifts and trails.
