This is heaven for chocolate lovers! This place offers an array of chocolates and candy perfect for gifts or yourself. It is a cute white house on the road with parking on the back. Once you go into the store there are several displays as well as samples for the items sold. Everything I tried was delicious and reflects the high quality with which everything is made. There is a house in the back where the candy is prepared, they informed me that they make everything on site. If you are in the are you must stop by this place!

Cute and quaint, so many options. I like that there are sample of certain things around the shop.

Their chocolate was slightly waxy-er than another chocolatier shop closer to downtown Middlefield.

It's also super convenient with a drive-thru, so whether you're grabbing coffee on the go or settling in, you're covered. Inside, there's plenty of seating and a warm, inviting atmosphere that's perfect for catching up with friends or getting a little work done. Here's what we tried: Orange Creamsicle Matcha - a fun, refreshing seasonal drink that's both creamy and bright. Strawberry Matcha - sweet, smooth, and perfectly balanced. Breakfast Burrito - hearty and satisfying with great flavor. Arugula Lemon Avocado Toast - fresh, zesty, and beautifully presented. Everything tasted amazing, the staff was friendly, and the vibe was just right. Whether you're stopping by for coffee, brunch, or dessert, this spot is an absolute gem. We'll definitely be back for the chocolates in the near future

I've met the lovely owner Lorie and her sweet candy maven (ugh I hate when I can't remember her name- sorry doll!) It's a fun little stop for a treat or some of their dangerous fudge! Let's talk a little about the treasure boutique inside called Wildflower! Omg. Ok, so my kidlets think whatever I like is just not cool. Then, my oldest strolled in with me and not only loved the chocolates- but near everything at Wildflower boutique. She *had* to have this super cute patchwork jacket, loved the distressed overalls, some of their cute tees, etc. I was thrilled! Something in common with my kidlets!!! My youngest liked the little handmade cat items- it's constantly changing. So another reason to venture into Marianne's is the Adventure of "Wildflower!" Super cutie cute cute!

Overall, I am glad that a couple dozen of us were able to support this local, independent business, especially since the owner herself stopped by to greet us all one by one and give us a short history lesson of the historic building/former home (formerly owned by wealthy local man, George Ford) and the business itself! The recipies are from the owner's grandmother, whose name is actually Quintilia! As part of our tea party package, we had: -Hibiscus berry tea -Cinnamon orange spice tea -Tomato tortelini soup -Petit fours -Homemade scones -4 half sandwiches and 6 bite size desserts Imo, the best dessert was a small lemon tart! In all honesty, everything was very good! I would recommend adding a small salad to the line up, however. Also, make sure to call ahead of time to buy scones to go! There is, of course, a cute gift shop is on the 2nd floor. I didn't buy anything this time. I spent some time looking around the inside as every room is decorated differently. So in all, my bill came to $51 total with tax and tip. Most of us had leftovers to bring home - i did not. Make sure to call ahead for reservations!

Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Burton!

I stopped in during Apple Butter Fest, and simply walked over to the cafe. AMBIANCE: It's the type of cafe where time stands still. Many friends and families were relaxing on the patio during the last warm days of autumn. At unhurried pace there were even mother and daughter playing cards. Slow pace atmosphere carried inside. Each home-like room of the cafe was occupied by families having a nice conversation and coffee. There are plenty of diffident nooks for groups and solo coffee connoisseurs. Seating is available in the form of couches, wooden tables and chairs. The way that the cafe is separated into rooms allows for extra roomy atmosphere and an element of privacy. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu includes food options like soups, wraps, deli sandwiches, and breakfast items. Baked goods can be found in the case like tasty looking muffins. As far as fiends, there's wine, coffee, tea, and more. Coffee can be customized with various pumps of sweeteners. Tea is available loose leaf and you can custom scoop your tea bag with a desired flavor. I really wanted to order Cayenne Kick Mocha. But my middle aged body would have acid reflux. Instead I went for another option - hot apple cider (medium cup, $4) to continue my apple theme. The cider was very tasty and scorching hot. SERVICE: The best way to describe service is very transaction and anxious. The line was pretty long which may explain it. This part of the experience felt the most fast paced. I didn't enjoy the service at all. I might drop in again to try Cayenne Kick Mocha next time. I loved the atmosphere but not so much the service. Nonetheless, I want to give them a try on a slower day.
