Sorry White Hart you were totally let down by your kitchen today. We popped in by chance, the pub wasn't busy and the young lady running the bar did all she could to help-BUT, the starters were OK, but it's hard to go wrong with prawn cocktail. The problems came with the mains. My much vaunted pie ,home made by the pub was certainly difficult to identify as any meat, let alone venison, the pappadoms with my mother-in-law's curry had been cooked at the wrong temperature, and were inedible. Worst of all, my wife's roast pork together with the vegetables were all cold, and this was after we had waited over three quarters of an hour for the meal. On complaining to the barmaid, the meal was reheated in the microwave, but even then it s the first time a steak knife was needed to cut roast pork
Again the lady in charge apologised and did her best but the damage was done, enough was enough. Clearly, the kitchen is disorganised and if the place had been busy, who knows when we would have eaten as well as what.Shame as we were well welcomed, , but we eat out frequently and place many reviews on Trip Advisor, always with constructive criticisms when appropriate, but on this occasion, and on the basis of what we had today, we would never go back.
