Expecting to be sent over to 9th Ave., I was surprised to be told to go to Judah and 6th. It turned out to be a very pleasant surprise! The shop is quite a mix of things. Think of part cafe, part ice cream shop, and part corner liquor store. It is extremely clean, from the dining tables to the rest room. I was very comfortable sitting down here for a snack and a coffee. The baklava was excellent. Your coffee drinks can be made with espresso or Turkish style. We tried both. We have tried coffee at several other places within a mile of this place. I'm surprised that I haven't heard of this before. I will agree that this is the best coffee in the neighborhood. The guy behind the counter was professional, but he could have at least cracked a smile to welcome some new customers coming into his shop.

Why did I pay $9.23 for a frozen microwaved breakfast burrito?…read more When I came in, the guy didn't greet me but was busy watching a game on tv.. I looked back at him and ordered. While paying, I heard a microwave door open and he tossed a packaged burrito in the microwave. Sticker and everything. I was shocked, I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew it what it was. I love supporting local businesses, but I hate feeling ripped off..

This place is so charming and such a lovely addition to the neighborhood…read more I stopped in here the other day and I felt like I was transported to the UK. My family is Welsh - and much of my family currently lives in Wales and England. Having grown up visiting the UK every summer - I grew up with clotted cream and scones, Horlicks, sausage rolls, Walkers crisps, Hot Cross Buns, Galaxy Chocolate, chutney, fruitcake, Ribena, Jaffa Cakes, tea and biscuits, and much more. This store has all of that and much more! The staff member working when I popped in - was exceptionally kind and was there to answer any questions I had in regards to their beautifully curated selection of products from Scotland, Wales, England etc. Truthfully I wanted to buy everything and I wish that my mom and sister could have been with me to explore this magical shop. I know that they would have appreciated the well curated store and the good vibes throughout it. I ended up buying a fantastic Pendleton picnic blanket (perfect for GG Park ) and a bag of Jelly Babies sweets. Later - after checking out their facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/willowonthegreen/ - I was thrilled to see that they regularly post about new product additions to the store and they often host unique cheese tastings throughout the week. They have even collaborated with Arizemendi bakery - doing Fondue tastings - using Arizmendi's exceptional bread. Willows on the Green is amazing. It was evident in my brief time in the store - that they're truly invested in being part of the Inner Sunset community. They enjoy supporting other local businesses in the area - and they're excited about sharing the excellent aspects of British culture/food with the San Francisco community. Thank you! Trust.

She's kept the best of the old Sakura and brought in new things including all of the food in the cooler. It happens that she's a caterer. I worked with her for two special bento boxes for myself and husband for an anniversary. I was upfront about my food intolerance nightmare! It begins with gluten and gets worse. But she didn't bat an eye lash - she worked with it and presented us with two incredible bento boxes! The flavors are perfect. Lively vinegars brighten up her unique seaweed salad - which is big pieces of seaweed and nice slices of cucumber. Everything comes in a compostable paper box. Rice is at the bottom and on top of it are small cupcake cups with the various treats inside to keep them separated. We ate at home so we put each cup of deliciousness on a plate, and kept the bowl with the rice. She gave us salmon, a beef dish I can't really describe other than to say it was great. I told her I love mizuna and she presented us with this hard to find green. Hands down our favorite was unagi!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thick pieces with the right amount of not-too-sweet and really flavorful sauce. Dang, next time I'll get an unagi bento box it was that fantastic! We loved every minute of our lunch today - thank you so very very much. You've got fans and loyal customers. Knowing you do full-on catering will make parties and such really easy. It was so easy picking up at Sakura! Thank you again. You are truly a treasure !!!

They get their bentos from Delica in the ferry building I believe and they also have the prettiest cakes, pastries, and sandos. I stop by for their ume onigiri whenever I'm in the area and it's the perfect little snack to hold me over on my drive home to the Valley. Their prices are really good compared to j town and it feels good knowing I'm supporting local small business by shopping there. The people working there are also always really friendly.

Been here a couple times to try their prepared foods. Open and spacious seating indoors yet a lot…read moreof folks order to take out. At least at Lunchtime when I've gone. Clean and airy with a spacious food service counter where you order your food items. Hot food, sandwiches and soup. I'm not sure how extensive their offerings are for dinner as I've only visited for lunch 3 times now Lasagne, meaty and very savory. Plenty of cheese and good balance tomato sauce Chicken skewer is great value, tender chicken chunks seasoned lightly Ham Fritata, wasn't hot just warm, a little gritty but has eggs, potatoes and ham. Tasty tho Stuffed Portobello mushroom, good size shroom, stuffed with pepperonata? (Had texture of firm squash, provolone cheese with balsamic glaze sauce. Quite yummy A fairly good value overall. Lasagna was $10 per slice. Ham Fritatta and Portabello mushroom $9 per pound. Each serving was less than $6 Staff is super friendly and polite.

Après Vous saved the day for me when I dropped in there right after a busy running-late-oh-so-hectic day before rushing off to the East Bay for a friendly potluck! On this quieter side of Taraval just a block or two off of 19th Ave is Après Vous.. Before you are long counters full of classic dinner entrees such as Meat Lasagna, Quiches, Pulled Pork, Beef Tri Tip, Roasted Potatoes, Rice Pilaf, Mixed Veggies, Mashed Potatoes, Roast Turkey and many others. The menu seems to vary daily, with a more basic menu on Saturdays. Closed Sundays from what I've observed. Parking is convenient right out in front, and so is transit, with the L-Taraval Light Rail line just outside too! Pricing seems in line with the fancier supermarkets, but I think it's fair for what you get. This is also a great place for a quiet meal by yourself or a companion, as there are a couple of small tables by the window where you can watch the world go by. It's a peaceful place with friendly attentive service. I look forward to trying this place out again anytime and exploring their selections!
