It takes about 20-25 minutes twice a week, you can show up in street clothes because they keep the room cool so that you don't get sweaty, and you work out in a super-slow way to avoid injury but maximize rapid muscle fatigue which leads to muscle improvement. Every one of the trainers is competent and caring and they compliment each other's style. It's not cheap but it is so worth it. I am 65 and always had a somewhat wimpy grip. Now I can look the macho guys in the eyes who try to play alpha dog and squeeze right back. This is truly a Cleveland gem. Rick H.

Jess and her team completely changed my mind set about going to the gym and working out. I was in my early 40s when I first started working out at Whole Fitness and, until I found Jess, I had never been able to stick to any kind of fitness routine. I was at my heaviest, totally overwhelmed, and honestly at my wits' end. From day one, Jess put me at ease and made me feel at home. Whole Fitness isn't a typical gym and that's what makes it so special. It's a boutique, private environment where you never feel self-conscious, intimidated, or uncomfortable. I always felt safe, cared for, and supported. The trainers and the other clients became an extension of my family, and leaving that behind was much harder than I expected. After moving, I tried to recreate that experience and quickly realized just how rare Jess and her team are. I won't turn this into a complaint about other trainers, but it became clear that what Whole Fitness offers isn't easy to find. I eventually stopped trying to replace it and started doing virtual training with Jess instead because I'm simply not willing to settle for less than the best. Today I participated in my wife's training session with Jess and she really made me feel the burn. She showed my how to isolate particular muscle groups that's I never have before. I always thought I was doing shoulder workouts like side raises and shoulder press correctly, but she gave me tips that really helped me activate the muscle groups with less weight than I usually use. She also made the workout fun and threw in some movements that I definitely haven't done and really challenged me. Unfortunately, my repeated experiences at the Warrensville Heights Family YMCA have been the exact opposite of that mission. From the moment you walk in, the energy does not feel welcoming. The front desk staff is often rude or dismissive, which sets a negative tone before you even start your workout. Several employees also seem to take their roles so seriously that it crosses into being unapproachable, making the space feel tense instead of family-friendly. As someone who values the YMCA's vision of being a positive force for youth, adults, and seniors, it's discouraging to see such a disconnect between the mission statement and the reality of this location. A family-oriented facility should feel like one--uplifting, supportive, and community-driven. Sadly, that has not been my experience here. Psychology tells us that first impressions create lasting impressions. If the first thing members feel when they walk in is negativity or unfriendliness, it erodes trust and drives people away. A YMCA should be a place where every individual--whether a child, parent, or senior--feels seen, welcomed, and inspired to better themselves. I'm leaving this review not out of anger, but in the hope that leadership takes it seriously. This YMCA has the potential to be a true pillar in the Warrensville community, but that requires employees who embody kindness, empathy, and respect in their daily interactions. His departure is not his choice he is being forced to move to a different studio because a "new" coach is taking his place. Coach Walker is not only my favorite coach but has become a friend. What I like most about Coach Walker is he has pushes me to limits I did not know I was capable of. He makes the class fun by singing, dancing, and laughing. Laughter helps the class go by fast. Coach Walker started coaching at Beachwood on my first ever class. When he announced he was leaving you can see the disappointment and sadness on the members' faces (I know I was disappointed). I don't understand how you can move a coach from his "home" studio for the past 2 years to a new studio and put a brand-new coach in his place. This has put a bad taste in my mouth. I don't even want to come to the Beachwood studio because he is not there. This is a bad move on OTF's part. Coach Walker has built a huge following and a trustworthy clientele. How can I get Coach Walker back to the Beachwood studio?
