I've been accepted and made to feel at home there, all thanks to the hard work and dedication from the team! Not to mention they also have a great community of gym members who without each one of us pushing each other would make the classes alot more difficult. I'd recommend to anyone looking to join a boxing gym for the first time! They build Champion's not just in body but spirit!

His departure is not his choice he is being forced to move to a different studio because a "new" coach is taking his place. Coach Walker is not only my favorite coach but has become a friend. What I like most about Coach Walker is he has pushes me to limits I did not know I was capable of. He makes the class fun by singing, dancing, and laughing. Laughter helps the class go by fast. Coach Walker started coaching at Beachwood on my first ever class. When he announced he was leaving you can see the disappointment and sadness on the members' faces (I know I was disappointed). I don't understand how you can move a coach from his "home" studio for the past 2 years to a new studio and put a brand-new coach in his place. This has put a bad taste in my mouth. I don't even want to come to the Beachwood studio because he is not there. This is a bad move on OTF's part. Coach Walker has built a huge following and a trustworthy clientele. How can I get Coach Walker back to the Beachwood studio?

Then you come to point where motivating yourself just isn't cutting it, and that's when I signed up for a 1 week trial at Cleveland Fitness Bootcamp. Speaking with Nate, he described that they're not exactly a "bootcamp" (the ones where it makes you feel like you're trying out for football) but more of a group personal training. What I LOVE about their format is you exercise in short bursts followed by short rests and you just repeat the sets over and over, while moving to different stations and exercises. I felt I really got the most of each exercise instead of them pushing you until you pass out and can't do anymore like other bootcamps. For those of you that get BORED with working out, you've GOT TO try this out. With the music and group setting, the hour is over before you know it and you got an awesome workout. I feel so lucky we found this place, and now I look forward to working out instead of dreading it!

I hoped to resume the Silver Sneakers class. Still too crowded. Still too hot. Still TOO BORING. The teacher even had to say SMILE to the class, but the blank faces continued. Just not fun. I toured this location on July 7, 2025 as a potential member. I was unimpressed by my experience and did not join as a member. Amenities: The gym is very spacious with two floors of workout machines. Even at peak time (around dinnertime) of my tour the gym was not crowded, there was room for everyone. That seemed like a huge positive. There were some good amenities - pool and movie theatre cycling room. Upon closer look, all equipment (strength and cardio) and interior were disappointingly outdated. If you're looking for a modern equipment and amenities, this might not be right fit. Service: The sales guy who showed me the space was friendly. The tour was very brief. I liked that he asked what workouts I generally prefer. During the tour his superior made a comment about him better closing the sale today. I found it to be very distasteful. Overall, it was a very transactional experience - quick tour and push to sale with packages overview. Follow-ups were light which I appreciated. 3-Day Pass: I initially signed up for a 3-day pass and not necessarily the tour. I wanted to see the space but also experience what it's like on a typical day. When I called the front desk and sales about its utilization, I was told that I must stop by, tour, and then will be setup for a pass. After the tour my only choice was to sign up or not sign up. There was no 3-day pass honored or discussed. It more so seems like a sales gimmick. Pricing: This seems like a middle tier gym between Lifetime and Planet Fitness. Pricing is $39.99 (annual fee and initiation fee) or $49.99 (annual fee and no initiation fee). Group classes appear to be included. Additional cost for personal training. The price list online and at sales desk were very clear. I found certain murkiness when asking about annual fees and prorating months, so double check. My reasons for not joining were the outdated facilities/equipment and very transactional approach. Following my tour I immediately joined another local gym that was more well aligned with my personal needs and standards. If your focus is value and not so much aesthetics/equipment, you might find this a good fit.

I will say that you should check out Cleveland Yoga's actual yoga studios because the classes are 100% amazing (Ylonda, Scott, Tami, and Jackie K. are awesome instructors). The yoga studios are in Westlake, Little Italy, Beachwood (main), and Concord Township. Cleveland Yoga has 2 locations in Beachwood. This review is for the Cleveland yoga and barre studio in Beachwood. This studio has strictly barre classes and some yoga classes. Once in a while, they host special classes and events. Yoga Sculpt was one of those special classes. I came on a weekday evening and entered about 5 mins late but I was still allowed inside. Rush hour traffic after work was insane. CLASS EXPERIENCE -- The class was killer and I knew I would enjoy it because I have taken a TON of Yoga Sculpt classes in the past when I lived in Chicago. Yoga Sculpt is a combination of basic yoga postures and strength exercises. Most yoga studios nationwide will incorporate weights (dumbbells) into the yoga sculpt class format. The strength exercises that we did in class were not new (think mountain climbers and jumping jacks) but the increased repetition of each exercise called for a challenging workout. We also used free WEIGHTS and did exercises such as bicep curls. The whole class was definitely a workout especially with all the plank holds and pushups. The instructor was filled with energy and she was awesome but I wish that some parts of the class moved quicker. I don't believe this particular class was in a heated room. As you know, or don't, the majority of Cleveland Yoga classes are taught in a room that is heated between 75-95 degrees heated. I recommend this studio. Try a barre or yoga class and your future TONED body will thank you later. *** - 8 total reviews in 2019. - 218 total Yelp reviews.
