Since he was buying, and I was starving, we came here. After going forth for a bit, I finally told him we need to go inside to place our order since I refuse, and profoundly HATE going through the drive through with other people in the car. (Don't ask, it's an anxiety issue, and awkward for me, especially when I'm driving.) So, we pull in. After walking in, we both noticed the place is SPOTLESS. SO FRESH, SO CLEAN. We both were like, WTF happened here? Place has blue neon lights under the order area. We walk up to order, and there's a bit of a line. But, I will say, there's floor to ceiling bulletproof glass. No one, and I mean NO ONE is getting anything from behind the register. They also have some wicked cameras set up as well, along with locked doors preventing people from trying to enter that way as well. Order was taken quick, promptly, and food was made exactly as we ordered it. Service was fine, and everything went well. I will say, some of the clientle here seemed a bit nervous. Why, I don't know, because the whole place was orderly and ran quite smooth. On the drive home, co worker and I discussed how clean the place was. I saw two of them cooking without covering their face with a face mask. I saw one of them preparing the food and placing everything in a bag without a face mask. One was the cashier not wearing her face mask properly as she interacted with customers. I asked a man who was not wearing a face mask if he is the manager. He told me he is the manager. I see he instructs the team with bad management. The manager mentioned I am a "m*ther f*cker". I have it recorded on video. Covid-19 can be spread around to customers' food with that inappropriate procedure.

I have been a fan of this restaurant for years, everywhere I went everyone I spoke to I always said wonderful things about the burgers here. So when I came back to Detroit visiting goodburger was first on the list and highly prioritized. Entered the restaurant, looked better and improved. Went to the counter, was greeted by the cashier, ordered burgers for my and my partner. Instead of fresh fountain I was given a can of diet soda even though their refills used to be free, didn't mind, sat down and started waiting for my food, the person who brought my food literally placed the tray on my table, mumbled few words in the mouth and left, no "enjoy the food" or "let me know if you need anything elsel". Mind you I paid 35 bucks for 2 burgers with 1 side of fries. I was not at the drive through of Mcdonalds. Anyways all of these things can be ignored if the food was upto the standard. The chicken piece inside the burger was over cooked, fries in the burger, pale and no flavor, bacon, smaller then a french fry, store bought cheese like it was slapped on top with zero love. I asked for mayo and it felt like they ran out of mayo and just took the last scoop and smacked it on my burger, kept looking for mayo, couldn't find it. The side of french fries was good. No sauces on the burger either. I am highly disappointed and I hope the management reads this and fixes these issues, as I would love to stay a regular customer and change my review back to 5 star.
