Ryan is the artist who created my beautiful babies on me. He does amazing art, it's hard to put into words how much this tattoo means to me ( except I love it ). Ryan works with confidence and ease, it shows in his art and while tattooing you. His hands are light, which is awesome. Ryan also placed two tiger cubs on me years ago, they are as solid ink work and beautiful today. The shop is clean, professional, and comfortable to be in for hours,it's a great place to get awesome art done. The artist are all friendly and knowledgeable. I hope to be getting another tattoo with Ryan soon

Ryan does AMAZING work. He's super professional, personable, and has a wealth of knowledge of his craft. The Gallery itself is clean, and all the artists were friendly as well. I would recommend anyone that wants a beautiful, professional tattoo to check this place out!

I called last minute because I'm being adventurous and want to get a tattoo right away. Found this gem. And right away I got tatted. One thing I noticed is the cleanliness of the shop. Great location the inside is clean. The needle and equipments are with plastic and wrap clean. Jose did my tattoo. He did the design based on how I wanted. I liked it. And decided to go for it. He did his best to cover up my old tattoo. He did a good job I know he tried although still show a little bit. I like how he took his time to make sure he got the location right. All in all great experience. Thank you

It is my wife's handwriting. She passed in April. I told her in High School I would love her forever and eternally. 55 years

My tattooist was a young lady named Raina. She is a very talented artist. Raina has a warm and caring nature and is very willing to work with you on hour tattoo. I had someone tell me that her lines are exceptional. I and my family enjoyed the experience and I know you will too. Dr. Rasler

Working on the tattoo

I had very high hopes for this place!!! I checked out there Instagram and website and yelp! And found they do beautiful work!!! As a artist I felt comfortable. Not really caring who I got because everything was amazing! (Oh I was wrong!) So I reached on Instagram and realized this was not the best idea so I sent a email. I got message back fast. They asked what I wanted and sent them styles of what I was looking for. (Not being a tattoo artist I wanted a tattoos artist opinion and style) They told me how much and said they had a opening for the next week. I asked can we push it out a month. Because I had some jobs I need to take care of before. Then I felt like I was ghosted because they never emailed me back. I reached out again saying if I need to come in I would be happy to. They told me I need to wait about a week so the next month opening for booking. I understood a said fine. About a week later they told me booking what open and I made my appointment. But the person I was getting a tattoo from never called me or ask what I wanted. I realized a few day before I was supposed to let him now so I immediately reached out thinking we would talk about design. He let me know he seen it and said he would meet me Friday. Friday the day I go in to wait about 20min. (I was about 20 mins earlier so thinking he was waiting for my time slot before talking.) He walks in and told me give him and few mins. So I waited and filled out a few thing then I when In the back. He took the iPad he gave to fill stuff out and said give him a few mins. He was drawing my tattoo. ( but he was drawing over one of the design i sent.) I said oh I have a design I made to give you a idea. He didn't really look at it and said "oh it is really easy I don't need that." (That was my 1st red flag. I wanted his opinion but not over ride what I want) so I said yes but I want red, white and blue to look smeared. Him "I can't do white." Me " I understand can we do a gray" Him "yes but it will fad over time" Me "can we do a cream color?" Him "not with your skin tone. I can do a pale blue." Me "ok that works" (I felt like he really didn't want to give me what I wanted. To me it looks like he put light blue then shad in with white. Witch he said he couldn't do?) During the tattoo he didn't talk much. Witch i was kinda stuck because I wanted to ask questions but the question I did ask I felt like he was like why didn't you know that. I felt like when a kid asking a common question and the parent rolls there eyes and answer. so I Just watched. I felt like he didn't take what I want in to consideration he did what he wanted. Honestly my tattoo doesn't look anything like what White Buffalo Gallery post honestly you would thought I got it some where else. I am happy with it as a base. But I am going to go somewhere else to get some finish touches. Honestly if he had communicated at all I think I would be happier. (Honestly the stencil looked amazing! It was the coloring and line art) Just a very disappointed 1st tattoo. But this my fault!!! Please look into your tattoo artist! Not tattoo shop! I will learn from my mistakes for future!

My very cute Soot Sprite

I went in today for a Soot Sprite tattoo with Eri and it was a GREAT experience! If I could give 10 stars I would. The shop has a very nice vibe and I felt really comfortable. I had a lot of nerves going in about being a plus size woman and some of the attitudes towards women like me that can pop up in some tattoo shops but I didn't feel any of that here. The only discomfort was from the needle haha.

Did two sessions with Ryan "El Dugi" Lewis and all I can say is wow! He did an amazing job, was super chill, very receptive of the styles I like and dislike, and very flexible with me. He was able to fit me in for my second session really quick to finish me up despite his busy schedule, and was super flexible with moving around my first session when I had to unexpectedly cancel. And his art is just fantastic. He did such an amazing job. Thank you Ryan! I definitely look forward to coming back for more!

Nicki is an incredible artist!! She's done 4 tattoos for me, (one in apprenticeship and 3 as a fully fledged artist) and I have never been disappointed by her work, work ethic, and her friendly & kind personality. She is so easy to talk to, and she really makes sure you are aware of every next step she is taking, and checks in to make sure you're okay. Consent to pain is huge for me, and she really makes sure I feel safe the entire time. I love her art, and I just want to be covered in it

I am not sure if Kenneth still works here, but I got my anime tattoo done by him several years ago. Yes, took me this long to write a review. Anyways, I love my shippo tattoo. I thought Kenneth was a great tattoo artist for his age.

I had a great experience here last week. I was able to book Ryan a couple months ago and get in earlier on a cancellation which was awesome because he is booked out for awhile for good reason. I chose him because I had been following his work for awhile and appreciated his detail and realism. He worked with me on design ahead of time and then day of took extreme care finding exactly what I wanted and drawing it out. Placement was important to me and he was able to get it exactly how I wanted it placed on my inner forearm. Mine was a six hour session and he was super conscientious about taking breaks and making sure I was comfortable. The end result speaks for itself. Top notch. Great guy. Super clean shop. Had a great day and am really happy with his work. Highly recommended. Well worth traveling to him to have work done.

I got a tattoo done here a couple weeks ago by Sarah and it came out gorgeous. She's a great artist. The building looks very nice, I love the art inside. Everything looks clean and I like that there's books with everyone previous works I side. I already have plans to come back!

Fast forward to Christmas Eve, I text her and said, "Let's go the day after Christmas. No excuses." I searched for a tattoo shop with good reviews and found Lucky Buddha Tattoo. Since it was Christmas Eve night, I couldn't get ahold of anyone (understandably), so we decided to just try our luck the next day. The shop is located off San Juan and Madison, which can be a busy area, but there's parking right out front... huge win. When we walked in, we were greeted by their apprentice, Sophia, who was incredibly sweet and welcoming. We explained what we wanted and hoped we could get it done that day. Our original idea was to place the tattoo on the palm area, but Sophia was very transparent about how ink usually doesn't hold well there. She suggested an alternative placement that still worked perfectly with our vision. After discussing the price, we decided to go for it. Luckily, she had availability right then and there. She was so patient, making every tweak and edit we asked for without hesitation or attitude Absolute gem. While she was designing, we hung out up front and got some unexpected puppy therapy! their sweet pit bull wandered over and decided my friend was her chosen human. She jumped right into her lap and chilled, which was especially adorable since my friend is normally scared of big dogs. Instant icebreaker. The entire vibe of the shop was warm, friendly, and chill. The owner even came out and chatted with us for a bit, which just added to the good energy. Once we finalized the design, Sophia got to work. She had a gentle hand, and each tattoo only took about 20 minutes. We walked out beyond happy. the tattoos came out perfect, and the experience was even better. Thank you Sophia, for your awesome work! I'll definitely be coming back for my next one.

The building itself has a really cool history, and the inside of the shop looks incredible. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride not only in the space, but in the team they've built. Eli Rushing was my artist, and he took me as a walk-in. I came in wanting to get my newborn son's footprints tattooed on each side of my Tree of Life. We bounced around a few ideas and landed on a design I was really excited about. Eli absolutely nailed it. We had great conversation throughout the session, and once it was done, I was genuinely blown away by the finished piece. On a whim, I also asked if he'd be willing to touch up some faded Hawaiian islands I have on my other arm, and he didn't hesitate. He was happy to do it, which I really appreciated. The pricing was very fair, and I tipped well because I felt he absolutely deserved it. That was fully my choice, just based on the quality of the work and the overall experience. Everyone coming through the shop was friendly, talkative, and welcoming. Even the shop hand stood out--she was constantly making sure the artists had what they needed and was great with customers. You can see why this place has won so many awards. The shop and the artists absolutely live up to that reputation. Thankfully I live less than a mile away, because I'll definitely be coming back for future work. Thanks Eli and thanks Honeymoon Tattoo for such a great experience!

first, I'm going to say Ross who works at this facility is an awesome tattoo artist. I took my…read moredaughter to see him and he gave her her first tattoo. I also have a friend who has received a few tattoos from him. He was fair, culturally appropriate, and made the experience enjoyable for all involved. I arrived to my session 15 minutes late (different artist) However, the tattoo artist did not pull me back until 45 minutes after my initial arrival time. The sketch he showed me the day before ended up being the final draft, when he put the stencil on me and of course I did not like it, I vocalized it, as I sat in the chair, thinking we'd have a conversation about changes... he began to reprimanded me like I was a child!!! I have six tattoos, I have never been more offended, walking into a place to work with a person. It's like he was trying to get a rise out of me (not who I am, sir) When I tried to approach it maturely (asking open-ended questionsand for clarity), he continued to make it inappropriate and uncomfortable (in front of others and attempting to adding colleagues to the discussion) using the excuse of "this is permanent, then I have a family to feed, and last you seem unsure" as his way out of doing the tattoo as opposed to just telling me he didn't wanna work with me. I felt embarrassed, vulnerable, rejected, and dismissed by this man... I have never cried at a tattoo parlor previously, and I will never be back to this one. He said that he was trying not to make my experience worse!!!!! While making it the worst experience I have ever had... he was culturally inappropriate, passive aggressive, and he was clearly offended by my dislike of the sketching he was using as a final draft to put on my arm. Even when I showed him another version of something that I wanted, he made a big deal out of it and then started talking about time. What an inconsiderate human... I even tried to leave him the deposit I put down for my tattoo because of his need to feed his family. Fortunately, they gave it back to me. This is my truth it is valid ... the end... how many black people do you see in the photos (many???) and when you are the owner asking people to be on your side of course they will they work with you dude. Be real

The tattoos were for a fan and a bow. The fan approximately 3x3 and the bow was gonna be about 2 in. I got to my appointment and Alex arrived about 10 minutes past our scheduled time. Although she is very nice and polite, I think that part of showing professionalism as an artist is being prepared for your client. I still had to wait another 20 minutes for her to partially set up. I still felt comfortable, we talked about both tattoos and she said she would start with the fan. I do want to point out that I asked Alex if she was ok with tattoing the fan on my inner bicept area where I have soft somewhat saggy skin due to weight loss. She said it wouldn't be an issue and we got the stencil placed and she began. Alex wasn't interested in having a conversation with me, she was having conversations with the other artists which is totally fine. I'm not the most talkative and I do not expect artists to hold a conversation on top of working on a piece of art. After about 2 hours, I noticed the pain was increasing but I was ok with it (I have over 20 tattoos all over my body so this isn't anything new to me). Once I glanced at the tattoo, I noticed my skin was raised and very red. I believe Alex is still an apprentice so she had another artist come and check the tattoo after the 3 hour mark and that artist advised her to stop on that tattoo since the skin was very red and tender. Alex said we would do the bow on my next appointment and for the fan I'd have to wait about a month or so to continue the tattoo. I was totally ok with that even though it's something I've never experienced. Fast forward to March, Alex sent me a message on IG asking if I wanted to have the tattoo finished by the shop owner Mari. I told her that if she felt comfortable finishing it herself, she could. She responded with availability for the last 2 weeks of April which didn't work for me so I asked for the first week of May and she has yet to reply. For context, my last message was sent April 13th and today is May 11th. At this point it's clear to me that she doesn't care about half axxing a tattoo. I'm now looking for another artist that will finish my tattoo. Although this review is for 1 artist, she is a reflection of the shop. I will not be back here.
