I have received gorgeous artwork from Talula and I can't wait for more! One of my tattoos is a cover up and Talula was so gracious and supportive of the artwork I wanted for my cover-up. Talula always makes the experience fun and comfortable- truly feels like girlhood moments!!! Go get poked by her! I received artwork from Alex too! She did a sentimental piece. Alex has such a calm energy about her and her work is so dainty and beautiful! Go get poked by her too!! read more

Have gotten 3 tattoos at this shop and every time I've felt very comfortable, welcomed and safe! They are moving locations soon so can't wait to see the new space. The artists and guest artists who work here though are very good at what they do. Extremely talented and chill energy. As a women I love that the staff are all women, poc, and LGBTQ+. No intimidation vibes like other shops I've been too. They also have a plethora of snacks and hydration pre and post tat if you need it. Can't wait to see the new spot and hoping it's just as well decorated and unique like their current spot! Well worth their prices for the quality of the art and the service! read more

My artist was Aliyha and they were PHENOMENAL. They are soo soo sweet and personable as well as very professional and respectful. My tattoo healed perfectly with no imperfections or fading and they offered touch ups after the healing period (though I did not need one). My brother and I got matching tattoos and they were both comfortable and Aliyha was even able to fit my mom in last minute as well. The studio is very comfortable and had a welcoming atmosphere. I couldn't recommend my artist enough! I will be back for more!! read more

This review is solely for artist Alex K. I booked 2 tattoos from her flash tattoo sheet and sent a $50 deposit via IG. The appointment was booked for February 17th. The tattoos were for a fan and a bow. The fan approximately 3x3 and the bow was gonna be about 2 in. I got to my appointment and Alex arrived about 10 minutes past our scheduled time. Although she is very nice and polite, I think that part of showing professionalism as an artist is being prepared for your client. I still had to wait another 20 minutes for her to partially set up. I still felt comfortable, we talked about both tattoos and she said she would start with the fan. I do want to point out that I asked Alex if she was ok with tattoing the fan on my inner bicept area where I have soft somewhat saggy skin due to weight loss. She said it wouldn't be an issue and we got the stencil placed and she began. Alex wasn't interested in having a conversation with me, she was having conversations with the other artists which is totally fine. I'm not the most talkative and I do not expect artists to hold a conversation on top of working on a piece of art. After about 2 hours, I noticed the pain was increasing but I was ok with it (I have over 20 tattoos all over my body so this isn't anything new to me). Once I glanced at the tattoo, I noticed my skin was raised and very red. I believe Alex is still an apprentice so she had another artist come and check the tattoo after the 3 hour mark and that artist advised her to stop on that tattoo since the skin was very red and tender. Alex said we would do the bow on my next appointment and for the fan I'd have to wait about a month or so to continue the tattoo. I was totally ok with that even though it's something I've never experienced. Fast forward to March, Alex sent me a message on IG asking if I wanted to have the tattoo finished by the shop owner Mari. I told her that if she felt comfortable finishing it herself, she could. She responded with availability for the last 2 weeks of April which didn't work for me so I asked for the first week of May and she has yet to reply. For context, my last message was sent April 13th and today is May 11th. At this point it's clear to me that she doesn't care about half axxing a tattoo. I'm now looking for another artist that will finish my tattoo. Although this review is for 1 artist, she is a reflection of the shop. I will not be back here. read more

I was tattooed by Talula and she was wonderful! She took her time, maintained a goofy/fun environment while working, was amazing about placement and moving the stencils to make sure I liked it, and overall was a great experience! I met Lula at my work and she was always bubbly and friendly as my customer, so it was great to get to be her customer for once! Highly recommend for good vibes and quality work read more

This shop is maybe actually is the nicest tattoo shop I've ever seen. My artist was Mo Joy and she took the idea I had and made it amazing. From initial messaging to scheduling to the lobby everything was easy and straightforward. A lot of tattoo shops feel very masculine and intimidating this is absolutely the opposite. They offer beverages and snacks, the shop is clean and well spaced out. Mo was welcoming, attentive and I'm beyond thrilled with my new art!! Highly recommend read more

I got a very special tattoo that I have been planning for a long time from Aliyha last weekend. The entire experience was amazing. My first (and second) tattoo experience was at Les, and I couldn't be happier! Juno designed all of my tattoos based on an embroidery my parents have, and I am in love with them. They took the time to make sure I was happy with the size and placement before beginning. They're super gentle and the pain is minimal. I was a little hesitant with going bigger, but they convinced me and I'm happy with the turnout. I think we're going to go for a half sleeve. Each piece took about 2 hours and I'm so impressed with Juno's line work and sharing. The studio is clean, tastefully decorated, and everyone is so kind. There are a variety of different styles so definitely look into each artist to see who fits you best. I feel very comfortable here as a woman of color and would absolutely recommend coming in for your next tattoo! read more

I've been to LES tattoos a few times now and every time has been a great experience. The last couple times I went, I was tattooed by Aliyha and I was super impressed by her speed and efficiency while still creating beautiful work. She was super sweet and communicated things as they were happening so there weren't any surprises. Aliyha is gentle and kind on top of being a fantastic artist. The shop has water and snacks available if you forget to bring any and if you arrive early or need to chill while waiting for your stencil, there's so much fun art and cool stuff to look at. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience(s) and I will definitely be back! read more

I've been looking for a tattoo shop in Sacramento and Les Tattoos will definitely be my go to shop going forward. I walked in and the energy was so great. It is immediately welcoming. I'm used to tattoo shops that have super masc. energy but this felt welcoming to all. I loved the details and all the plants in the lobby. My appointment was with Aliyah who is such an incredible artist. She was so helpful and communicative when it came to walking me through the process, designing my tattoo, and getting all the information needed for day of. She was even more awesome in person. She had such a great vibe and it immediately put me at ease. This was going to be my first tattoo and longest I'd say for so it was so helpful to have her expertise and professionalism. We took a couple breaks as needed and I'm absolutely in love with my final product! I also really appreciate that a couple days after she checked in to make sure I was doing ok and to see about my healing process. I recently had a tattoo done and everything about it was/is amazing! Aliyha was so helpful, kind and patient! The whole process was so easy and being that it's been about 12 years since my last tattoo, she made the whole experience very positive and comfortable. Any anxiety I had about getting something that is going to last a lifetime went out the door working with Aliyha. She was so easy to talk to and was so patient with all my questions and helped worked through any doubts I may have had about that design and/or placement of the tattoo. She is so talented and gave me exactly what I wanted! I couldn't be happier! another thing I wanted to shout Les Tattoos out for is the whole vibe of the shop.... Love the decor, female empowerment, artwork on the walls and the hospitality! Maybe this is a new thing shops do now, but in my previous experiences, I've never been offered snacks or drinks. They really care for their clients and it shows! I plan on going back to have another piece done. I also appreciate how clean and organized the shop is as well! read more

The shop is clean, welcoming, and professional. Front desk took all your information by checking in on your phone. The artist then would confirm the placement and size, complete set up and place your body in the work placement. The flower was my first tattoo experience by Gen (shes no longer at Les ), it was my favorite tattoo experience I've ever had, and I've had many. She did the line work first then on a break placed numbing cream and finished with shading. I then claimed a flash piece on instagram by Mari, of Mickey Mouse and that by far is my new favorite experience. I then booked an appointment to get minnie mouse done. This isn't about Les Tattoo, but Chy ( One of the owners of Les tattoos) did a interior wall mural for me in my treatment room and it was amazing. It was original and very well done. Chy was very professional. read more

I'd not mentioned that when I contacted Juno about the lines falling out that their response was to block me and remove all tags of my images from their posted portfolio. See copy of my message regarding anxiety and lines fading away. While looking for a new artist to finish our project and to eventually repair the fallen line work (when it's done fading away everywhere it will) parts of my arm has been referred to as hamburger meat. The moth which looks so sloppy will scar badly I've been told and is the worst damaged area. I was also told that they worked too long and then Should not have reworked the overworked skin again the next day. I have also learned right away from a Rocklin CA tattoo artist that they had already had a Juno Client come to them with a similar tale. Their bee tattoos were ones I never saw on the profile so they must have known they weren't good and not to share them (as had happened with mine). They blocked that person instead of responding as well. I wish they had left a Yelp review!! I posted a share all video and tagged the shop but they have not reached out nor has anyone even apologized. Running and hiding from it has been the apparent plan. read more

Aliyah was amazing!! It was my first time getting a tattoo so I really wasn't sure what to expect. Aliyah was detailed, efficient, and made sure my experience was comfortable. She worked with me each step of the way to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. As a person of color, I wanted to be sure I worked with someone who was familiar with darker skin tones. Not a lot of tattoo artists display dark skin in their portfolios but Aliyah had examples of her work on her instagram page. Most importantly, she was able to design and create EXACTLY what I had in mind. I asked for a star that represented my daughter and stars that represented my babies I lost to infertility. Aliyah was able to take my love and pain that is inside me and bring to life in a beautiful and meaningful way. I can't wait to go back for more! read more

So glad I found this place. I had only one tattoo for about 10 years, and in the past two years I've gotten four works from artists here! Very accepting, queer vibe - which means a lot, since I'm trans. My latest one was done by Mari, who was very friendly but super professional as well. Even though I wasn't new to the process, she was still was very attentive and talked me through each step and told me what to expect. I recently went in and got tattooed by Aliyha. Aliyha was an amazing tattoo artist. First, she was very patient, kind, and made my experience pleasant. I love that I felt heard and seen by her. Secondly, her talent is hands down incredible. I was shocked at the fact that I gave her the image I had and within 10 mins made an outline of what I had asked for (Mother Nature). Prepare yourself for a totally different tattoo experience. No judgement, no wierd vibes, just warmth. That's the feeling I got when I walked into LES Tattoos for the first time. This shop is women owned and operated. It's really a wonderful environment they've created. And the artists, the ones I've met, are knowledgeable, interested, engaged, and professional. If you're in the market for a tattoo but haven't ever gotten one because you didn't like the vibe of a shop then you need to go here. I booked with Penguin. My sister and I have been wanting sister tattoos for the longest time. A close friend of mines sent me Aliyha's IG, since she was doing a sale on birth month flowers. The initial consultation was super quick and easy. I wanted to add color to mines and she explained the extra cost and extra time that it will need. The location wasn't hard to find and the inside was very pretty. Aliyha's greeted us at the door and explained the process for us (my husband tagged along). I was still hesitant on the placement, and Aliyha patiently explained tattoo placement and the effects of weight gain/loss.
