Could have used a little more tarter sauce and potentially some vinegar as well.

From Edmonton to Orlando, STReats is by far the most crave worthy and has a light atmosphere. With their Taco fundraiser STReats4STREETS, you can share the goods. I order a taco every time I indulge for someone who may not have the great fortune to come in person and get a hot, delicious meal for themselves. As an additional note, they have the BEST fish & chips (I don't even bother with the fries-they would take up precious belly space where the fish belongs), they are allergen and vegetarian aware, and have rotating specials that are creative and interesting. Last month's was a Beyond Meat special, this month's has Asian flair (Spring Roll is the flame). They have great weekly specials, are very reasonably priced and produce consistent delicious food.

I included instructions to hold the Pico de Gallo as I am allergic to jalapeños. My chicken taco came without the Pico and was very good. They did not hold it for mango taco so I was unable to eat it. I had ordered a Diet Coke, but received a regular coke instead. The mini poutines were very tasty. As we ordered through SkipTheDishes, a return is kind of a pain, so my wife took the stuff I couldn't eat for lunch. Overall, what I could eat was good. If ordering, patrons should maybe call the restaurant and confirm their special requests/actual order to ensure they get what they want. The small details ruined my experience in this case

We really enjoyed the design, it sort of reminded me of the black bricked Ministry of Magic in Harry Potter! We found the meals like $1 or $2 more than Moxie's or Earls but we were fine with that. My wife ordered the Pad Thai and I ordered the Hickory Burger. I had to, it was National Burger day. The service was prompt and we actually got our food fairly quickly as well! But not suspiciously quickly, it was fresh! My favourite part of my burger was that the patty had been hand pressed. I don't know, the burger just sorta fell apart in your mouth but not in your hands or plate. Like it was very easy to eat, not too dense or over cooked. The bun had a nice toasted taste to it as well! Their fries are hand cut and double cooked to provide an extra crunchy outer layer and a soft warm inner layer. The gravy didn't taste like generic gravy, it was a pleasant surprise. My wife had been craving Pad Thai for a few days so she ordered that. She ate about half the portion. She liked it but she said it was not as good as the authentic Thai restaurants that we had been to before, which is to be expected. She liked it though. The waitress was attentive and polite. The atmosphere was well lit and not too noisy, it wasn't too busy the evening we went. The music choice and variety was odd, almost seemed like there was music in there for every one. We had dance music, followed by an old classic country song and then an 80's New Wave song. We enjoyed our visit though!

We had a booth and there were High Tops in the open pace, TVs on the wall and a general welcoming feeling. I currently have dietary restrictions that I am trying to manage carefully when we dine out. The server was EXCELLENT in helping my navigate my way to a tasty meal. I had the #28 Dragon bowl, and she made sure the butter was left off the rice. THANKS. DH had the Traditional Pub burger and fries. He reported the burger as good, but the fries were a disappointment. According to the menu they were hand cut, which usually means a very tasty fry. These were tough and not very appetizing. My dragon bowl was great and made lunch for DH the next day too.

They had several larger groups already in the place and a few smaller tables. So not crazy busy but there were tables to give attention to before us. Location wise, we needed to drive to get here but if you stay at holiday inn express, it's right across the street. I always enjoy the fish tacos and decided to grab a side of sweet potato fries as driving down to Lethbridge and setting up a booth works up an appetite. ;) Coworkers had a range of items from burgers to dry ribs. Service was prompt specifically for our food. I really appreciated that our drinks arrived without straws, as I'm making a conscious effort to use less plastic when I can. I also appreciated that they asked up front about separate bills. That's a small thing but makes a big difference how the table is managed. Volume of music was appropriate for a Sunday evening and we were able to talk easily amongst the group without feeling like we had to strain our voices (very good thing since the conference is tomorrow and most of us are speaking in some form or another throughout the day). Lots of space in the parking lot and street parking available too. I give this only 4 stars as there was a bit of weird gaps/lags in time for our service. We were one of the last three to arrive to the group of 12. You think drink orders would have started already but not even water had arrived to the table. We were left seated for a considerable amount of time before drinks were orders were taken. Waited again for food menus. Shared the 4 menus amongst us so we could be prepared to order at same time. That was when the rest of the menus arrived. At the end of our meal our plates were picked up quickly but then once again we sat there waiting to spot our waitress to ask for the bill. It wasn't a super busy night being a Sunday, so I was hoping she was already taking time to print them out. Nope. She had to go get them but at least returned quickly to close out our table.

My daughters and their partners ordered the "date steak special". It took over another hour to get it our food and it was terrible - well cooked when they asked for med-rare. They sent both back and rather than redoing the dishes, they just added a couple of med-rare pieces and returned the steaks in less than 15 min. To add, one member of our party is a severe Celiac so we were very clear about cross contamination or any gluten, yet they added a piece of garlic toast to her salad so we had to send that back as well. A very disappointing and expensive 3 hours. I have wanted to love this place as it has a great view and can have nice ambiance, but this is the third time we have tried to have dinner at the top and each time, it has been a similar experience. That being said, we have had good luck with the 2nd floor Happy Hour so maybe that is the better choice. MH

The food was a huge disappointment. My father-in-law ordered the fish and trips which looked over cooked and dry. My husband had the Schnitzel which was pounded so thin rendering it overcooked and tough enough to sole a shoe. My mother-in-law ordered the petite sirloin which was cooked more on the rare side than she requested. It was also so tough she couldn't barely cut it. When she finally got a piece cut she couldn't chew it. We sent it back and she decided to get the tenderloin steak instead. She was sure this would be a better choice. She was wrong. First it looked nothing like a tenderloin. It was flat and looked like an another cut altogether. When I questioned the waiter, he assured me it was a tenderloin. Still not convinced. Again my mother-in-law tried to cut into it without success. The waiter got her a new knife which he actually sharpened before bringing it back to her. it was still tough going and by this time she was so frustrated she lost her appetite for her meal and we got it to go. They gave her a complimentary dessert which was a creme brûlée which she said was the best part of the meal. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu which was probably the better choice out of the meals. At least I could cut it. Although the vegetables were not much to rave about either. All in all it was a very frustrating and disappointing meal. And definitely not worth the long wait we had for it to arrive. Will not be returning or recommending.
