My friend and I stopped in to try a flight of their beers. While I've seen their bottles on the shelf in Edmonton, I'd never tried them before. They serve their flights in test tubes which is super unique idea and in my opinion, it actually was a great way to sample. Let's just say, while the space is small, their beers really pack a punch! I sampled a hefeweizen, an IPA, a red ale, and a porter. There wasn't one I wouldn't happily drink again. Even my friend who is NOT a fan of dark beers really enjoyed their porter (my personal favourite was the IPA). While this isn't a place I'd recommend to hang out for an evening (they close at 8pm most nights), it is definitely worth visiting if you are a fan of craft beers.

Lucky them to have such an establishment nearby. Tried all the beers, really liked the IPA. All were good, although I found the grapefruit a bit too sweet. Delicious burger, cooked just right with white cheddar, onion, pickles, and lettuce. We tried the brisket. Tasty, the house made bbq sauce really stands out. My wife loved the broccoli salad. Really glad we came across this place.

They had several larger groups already in the place and a few smaller tables. So not crazy busy but there were tables to give attention to before us. Location wise, we needed to drive to get here but if you stay at holiday inn express, it's right across the street. I always enjoy the fish tacos and decided to grab a side of sweet potato fries as driving down to Lethbridge and setting up a booth works up an appetite. ;) Coworkers had a range of items from burgers to dry ribs. Service was prompt specifically for our food. I really appreciated that our drinks arrived without straws, as I'm making a conscious effort to use less plastic when I can. I also appreciated that they asked up front about separate bills. That's a small thing but makes a big difference how the table is managed. Volume of music was appropriate for a Sunday evening and we were able to talk easily amongst the group without feeling like we had to strain our voices (very good thing since the conference is tomorrow and most of us are speaking in some form or another throughout the day). Lots of space in the parking lot and street parking available too. I give this only 4 stars as there was a bit of weird gaps/lags in time for our service. We were one of the last three to arrive to the group of 12. You think drink orders would have started already but not even water had arrived to the table. We were left seated for a considerable amount of time before drinks were orders were taken. Waited again for food menus. Shared the 4 menus amongst us so we could be prepared to order at same time. That was when the rest of the menus arrived. At the end of our meal our plates were picked up quickly but then once again we sat there waiting to spot our waitress to ask for the bill. It wasn't a super busy night being a Sunday, so I was hoping she was already taking time to print them out. Nope. She had to go get them but at least returned quickly to close out our table.

I enjoyed an excellent house made savory chai (they offer multiple alternatives to dairy milk) and picked up a few of the three vegan pastries they had that day for myself and family. I'm sure that the berry turnovers, cinnamon twists, and rosemary pretzels would have been ever better had I warmed them up before serving.

This is hands down one of the biggest and expensive operations that I have seen in Lethbridge.The facility is big and sparkling with the visible tanks and vessels that can be seen from 43rd as you drive by. Upon entering the building the entrance is welcoming and features some work of local tradesman and artists with the reclaimed wood, lighting, and beams. As I entered and sat, gazing around the large area quickly revealed the fact that a desirable intimate experience would not be achieved here; as with the warehouse feel, any hint of such an experience would be lost quickly even if achieved for a moment. Wide open spaces are "ok" if you want the hum, loudness, and noise... It is a brewery warehouse after all. My server was pleasant but inexperienced in the necessary knowledge of beer (which can be expected with the limited labor force Lethbridge has, which at times is challenging for even the best of establishments). The beer selection was good; featuring some of Alberta's local breweries and even Lethbridge's first Nano brewery: Theoretically Brewing. My meal was fair to good; however, it took over the normal time frame of 30-45 minutes from the time of ordering to receive my food. That being said, I still cannot fathom the idea of eating French fries out of a flower pot. Sorry but this form of presentation is just not for me. It felt like I was eating dinner at an outdoor staff function held at Henderson Lake. I did not try the dessert but I intend to once I return for a follow up visit later in the year after their brewery actually opens and goes into production. Finally, the most disappointing feature of this new establishment is that this multimillion dollar facility, which prides and advertises itself as being Lethbridge's first brewery, in fact has not even began to brew beer. This begs the question: Is this a brewery? Or just a large restaurant that sells beer. It should have been in their business plan to open and begin production and as a brewery first; not to extend their "soft opening" as a restaurant first and a brewery second. I suspect the delay in production could have possibly been because they need to re brand their company name and products after the previous launch of their local Lethbridge beer that did not sell too well.If this is not the case, perhaps opening up a brew pub would have been a better operation, but I digress.With the size of this operation I believe that the beer will go into production in the near future and Lethbridge will soon be able to experience what this facility should have to offer. I'm looking forward in my return visit later in the summer or early fall to taste the new line up of beers and to hopefully enjoy their official opening. read more
